  • "We loved the atmosphere - inside it's lovely and romantic. The food was absolutely incredible. All fresh ingredients, with everything served made in the kitchen. Reasonable wine list - many bottles between $40-$60! Loved the foie gras and vegetable tart as starters. Amazing preparation of the rack of lamb - delicious. My husband also loved the risotto with fresh seasonal mushrooms. The deserts - like the rest of the menu hard to choose between dishes. The deconstructed vacherin was delicious and fresh tasting with the berries and homemade ice cream and sorbet. Run, don't walk to this restaurant."

  • "No complaints. Everything was excellent. The Fois Gras Bon Bons melt in your mouth and the sea bass was one of the best I've ever had."

  • "The experience was so great, that if I closed my eyes I thought I was in Paris. Great gem in Miami Beach."

  • "Exquisite service and dining at this quaint tucked away restaurant in the heart of south beach. Felt almost as if we were whisked back in time to the 1960's. My girlfriend also loved the place."

  • "We had a wonderful anniversary celebration at Pied a Terre. They did everything they could to make it special and succeeded spectacularly. The food, ambience and location are all spectacular. Highly recommended!"

  • "We were received by Patrick who happens to gave us a warm welcome and kept giving us good food and wine recommendations during the whole dinner. As a French, I can tell the food was authentic and also a little better than what you can find in France as the cuisine is both traditional and modern. We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday there and we had both a wonderful time!"

  • "this place exceeded my expectation by far! Top quality food and a very attentive service in a nicely decorated and very cozy restaurant. A must go for any gourmet when in South Beach"

  • "The food and service at pied a terre were amazing. The wait staff was attentive but not in your face too much. We both had the filet which was perfectly prepared with delicious sauces that enhanced the flavor. The lobster salad with avocado sorbet appetizer was to die for. We will be back!"

  • "Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Miami Beach! Hands down! Small and intimate, with wonderful personal service. Our meal was divine - sea bass and lobster risotto, and the recommended wine was superb. We were celebrating a 51st wedding anniversary; couldn't have found a better venue!"

  • "This is a small restaurant, inside an hotel, not so easy to find but it is a hidden "pearl" The food is excelent, tasty, very well cooked and with the most fresh ingredients. Wine list is also very good and you can pair with the dishes by the glass. It's a pity that you have only indoor seating....but it is worth trying if you want to have an excelent meal. At the end the check was a pleaseant surprise!"

  • "We went here for my birthday dinner - we found it on open table - and we were delighted and charmed and enjoyed every minute of it. Patrick and his team are actually from Paris and take great care in every aspect of the meal. The food was truly excellent. Don't miss out on the fois gras terrine. We are from Alsace (the french home of fois gras) so we are picky about it - it was exceptional; really some of the best we have had. The place is cozy and romantic and delicately upscale and was a welcome change from the "scene" of south beach. It's inside a little hotel so don't miss it! Go inside the lobby and it's up a tiny site staircase to the right. Oh, and as other reviewers have said, the butter is also worth the calories! ;-) "

  • "I expected a great meal and got a fantastic experience. The service was attentive and helpful. The menu and execution exceeded high expectations. The sommelier was more than helpful, and provided a great wine suggestion. Prices were on par with the quality. My wife and I can't wait to come back."

  • "We sincerely appreciated everything about the restaurant: the elegant and comfortable ambiance was an oasis and a great setting for a wonderful dinner. The menu had so many wonderful choices we couldn't decide, everything was inventive and special and more than lived up to our expectations. Fresh ingredients, high culinary standards and technique without heavy creams or thickeners used in traditional French cuisine. We indulged, had a great conversation with the proprietor who served along with the waiter, without pretense some other reviews misstated, but with passion and care about the restaurant. We were even happy to indulge in desert which we normally don't get excited about. This place is a gem, and we can't wait to go again. "

  • "I was looking for a special place, not too big, not too touristy with refined food. Pied à Terre was just perfect. The service is outstanding and the food is phenomenal. It was also very romantic and not noisy. It met all my expectations and more"

  • "Tucked away in a small hotel off the beaten path, this small restaurant is a gem if you like or are seeking an authentic French experience. It is not inexpensive, but then, we found it is in line with what one would expect to pay in Miami/south beach area. Great food. We will definitely return."

  • "We got to Pied a Terre at around 9.50pm after a long day at Key West. We got a hearty welcome and excellent service even though it was nearly closing time. The special Pisco sour was very special and delicious. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. One regret was that we did not have the opportunity to savour the degustation menu. We would have gone back unfortunately we went there on our last night in Miami."

  • "If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience while in Miami Beach, make sure you check out Pied a Terre. It's a real gem. Located in a boutique hotel just off of Collins, still in the heart of it, Pied a Terre is an upscale dining treat. The food is thoughtful and expertly prepared. The service is not just attentive but impeccable. The wine list is unique and notable. A great venue for a romantic evening. It's not one of the garish, themed dining rooms offered at a million other spots in South Beach. Much quieter...more intimate. Sure take the time to enjoy the night life that South Beach has to offer, enjoy the well known dining and people watching hot spots; if you want the best meal in town go to Pied a Terre as well. "

  • "We eat here whenever we com to Miami. Patrick and the wait staff gave us great food and wine recommendations again this trip. The risotto appetizer was good enough to be a meal on its own. Save room for the lavender creme brûlée. "

  • "Had dinner there before a concert at Filmore. The food and service were impeccable. Great lobster avocado salad and perfectly prepared duck. My wife vegetarian and she loved quinoa avocado salad and vegetable tart that were both awesome. Highly recommend to leave car in valet and walk one block to concert!!!"

  • "The most impressive thing about this restaurant was the food. It was exquisite! Akin to eating in a Parisian restaurant. This alone would have us return. The restuarant allows corkage. However, we were met with condescending attitude by the sommelier when we arrived with $200 bottle (our cost) of fine Californian wine. He made us feel uncomfortable although we also ordered aperitifs and bottled water. The waiter made up for his attitude. It is a small place with an attractive decor. We ate on a Sunday night which was very quiet. So quiet we were compelled to speak slightly louder than a whisper. Raising the music would probably be helpful in detracting neighboring conversation. "

  • "To start I'm relatively young compared to all the wise old foodies out there but in my newbie opinion this restaurant is the holy grail of food adventures. The ambiance begins your quest, the service guides the way, and finally the gem of the experience the food. "

  • "This cozy little gem offers a classic French menu with carefully modernized dishes - e.g., the raw scallop was paired with crunchy cauliflower as well as a yummy cauliflower foam, and the foie gras comes in two preparations, a very classic pate and an innovative "bonbon". Ask for the 5-course tasting menu; also the wine pairing is excellent. The service is very personable, and the relatively small room is very elegant yet cozy."

  • "Very nice restaurant in a great setting. Food was very good but very pricy compared to other restaurants of that level. The owner was very officious and not friendly."

  • "We had a spectacular meal including terrific wine pairings. Don't miss the fois gras. They are not kidding when they claim it as a specialty. Better than anything we had in Paris during our two weeks there last fall. Quite the surprise."

  • "The men who run this place are French & are friendly and welcoming. Mgr actually helped with a DC-area stalwart, Auberge Françoise. Modern French executed superbly. Starters - both had the Scallops and Caviar (Cauliflower Blinis, Cauliflower Remoulade), greated white cauliflower with white remoulade with fresh scallops was a lovely white canvas for a dallop of caviar. The blinis were soft and creamy, and I couldve eaten 100. Main course I had the sous vide rack of lamb (Bok Choi, Mashed Potato Scented with Fresh Mint, Lamb Jus Reduction). Lamb was a huge portion and flavorful, and it was tender but not amazingly so. Wife had tender perfectly done lobster on a creamy risotto. A great meal and great atmosphere, escape from the energy of SoBe."

  • "Found this restaurant a few years ago. Always have a great authentic French meal. A lot of Miami Beach restaurants rely on Flash instead of the quality of their food.... Not Pied a Terre! Great meal . Will return frequently!"

  • "We has goose liver pate and rack of lamb. Both were outstanding! The pate was pink, fresh, beautifully presented and delicious! The lamb was truly world class! The best we ever ate in the US, only bested by two star locations in France. Service was impeccable. Room is cozy, intimate and staff if knowledgeable and friendly. Go for it- no hesitation!"

  • "Small restaurant with a rather officious atmosphere. The waiter with a heavy French accent had to explain in exhaustive detail every item on the menu, even though he wasn't asked to do so. The food was good and very imaginative. Waiter forgot to bring our after dinner drinks."

  • "After 23 years living here, trying 99% of the restaurants, I never wrote one single review; So yes if I take the time to write a few words on the PAT it is to mention the amazing quality of their food. You can taste that they are looking for the best fresh ingredients and they are not trying to cut corners in buying cheap products. Most of the restaurants tour have forgotten about this simple fact. Their chef, will them prepare some original dishes such as the vegetable tart with pea sherbet or coconut lemon thym ice cream. The major difference with other kitchen that usually try to mix up anything to be different this one was extremely well thought and you will still dream about the amazing flavors of the PAT long after your diner."
