  • "This is our fourth visit to Piccolo since discovering it a few months ago. The space is quaint. The food is fantastic and creative. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The chef creates daily specials and the menu has plenty to choose from. Definitely plan to return soon."

  • "Piccolo exceeded our expectations! Service was great ! We ate the famous veal chop which was amazing & the shrimp with black linguini both excellent choices . Friends ate the mahi which is always a winner. Small restaurant with great specials & regular menu...we will definitely be back."

  • "We've visited Piccolo a few times now and can highly recommend it. Husband (chef) and wife team provide excellent, personalized service. They use top-quality, fresh ingredients to serve authentic Italian apps, pastas, risotto and entrees at moderate prices. Well thought-out wine list. There are relatively few tables (hence the name, Piccolo!) so you may want to call ahead on weekends."

  • "This was a great find. The food was wonderful, our entres were specials, Grouper & Mahi Mahi which were prepared very different, delicious and the presentation was very creative. Our appetizer was a crab cake tower which was topped with lump crabmeat and a very different sauce made of avocado relish and fresh chopped tomato gazpacho it was wonderful. Our desert was a cheesecake with fresh assorted berries. I would highly recomend this restaurant. The server Josiah was very knowledgeable. Great wine list also. On my grouper entres were tiny berries called Sweetie Drops which were delicious I never had them and inquired about them and I was told that they were Peruvian and were peppers, although they didn't taste like a pepper at all."

  • "This was our fourth time dining at Piccolo's and it has become a favorite. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to our fifth visit! When you go you must try the short ribs, to die for!"

  • "The food and service was excellent. Unfortunately, a large, noisy party took over the small restaurant making it difficult to enjoy our friends. Other diners also put off. Piccolo had not been notified of our open table reservation. Luckily, I had my phone to show the reminder. Restaurant was very nice to fit us in"

  • "Was anxious to try a new place close to our home. Hostess was very nice, but as a waitress, left something to be desired. Service was slow, but since we were not in a hurry, no big deal. I ordered the fish special and it was very salty and overcooked. The most disappointing, however was when we requested more bread, we were told there would be a per person charge! Very disappointing, considering the price of an entree ($30-40). Glad we tried it, but I won't be back. There are far better Italian fine dining options in Fort Lauderdale."

  • "This was the fourth visit to Piccalo, each time we tried different items without a disappointment. The staff is efficient and engaging. This is such a nice find in the world of annoying chain Restaurants. We have taken guests each visit and they have all returned on their own since."

  • "Food was decent but came out at different times and took a long time even though the restaurant was almost empty."

  • "Really wanted to love the place - 10 tables, quaint, genuinely nice staff. I would overlook the poor service if the food was "good", but unfortunately it didn't even meet that level."

  • "We really wanted to like this restaurant, but it still has some kinks to work out. Our waiter was somewhat amateurish. The lighting in the restaurant is too bright, and yet not bright enough. The need to dim the ceiling lights and focus on more lighting on the individual tables. Food: Crab cake appetizer was very good. Manicotti was average. Risotto had a rice like consistency...not at all creamy. Parmesan chicken was mediocre. Wine prices skew very high. I wouldn't go back. Better to try Lucca or Osteria Acqua and Farina for better Italian food at this price point."
