Diner Reviews
  • "My colleagues and I love to come here for business lunches. The food is fantastic, and they have a small enclosed patio so it's quiet."

  • "We came for dinner and are always pleased! Daughter had ravioli and salad. I had veggie pasta and hubby had linguini. Everything was delicious....there was no corkage so we brought our own wine. We will return."

  • "Piccolino's is an intimate restaurant tucked into a small space next to a supermarket in a strip mall. We would never have noticed it if not for Open Table reviews. THIS is a great find! The food is not only delicious, but is all fresh. They bake their own bread too. The service is efficient, & very cordial. The decor is pleasant, & they've fashioned a nice "garden" patio area for outside dining. But the main attraction is the truly delicious Italian cuisine. We've come here probably five times since discovering it several months ago, and have always been delighted! Very relaxed, satisfying dining."

  • "Cold reception by owner Joey, mediocre food at best. Used restroom saw bolognese sauce come out of a can?"
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "Tried this restaurant for the first time based on the Open Table reviews from other diners. We were very satisfied with the food and the above average atmosphere with dressed tables. Service was good but a little rushed. We dined at 8:00 PM and by 9:00 PM it was obvious that the wait and kitchen staff were anxious for us to be gone so they could go home. Other than that experience, we would definitely go to this restaurant again -- we'd just go on the earlier side. Not a good week night restaurant for late night dining. I'm sure weekend nights would be a different experience with the hours."

  • "We visit once a week to enjoy a great meat, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Our daughter had cheese ravioli, Caesar salad and we shared calamari appetizer and I had the veggie pasta dish and hubby had the lasagna. We brought our own wine (free corkage). You can't beat that!! See you next week...."

  • "We try to dine at least once a week. We love it just that much!! Great food, happy servers and a nice time out."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Thank you Piccolino for a wonderful quick bite (appetizers) and great service. We love your no corkage policy on specified nights and take advantage of that as much as possible. We ordered the bruschetta and calamari appetizers and enjoyed a quiet corner to have a mini date night and adult time. We will return as soon as we can and normally visit at least once a week!! Thanks so much"

  • "Great food, excellent service, so glad it's in our neighborhood!"

  • "We went for a very early relaxation time while our child was at a sports practice so we only had 90 minutes. We were able to enjoy a perfectly chilled (not warm) 1/2 bottle of red wine and bruschetta and split a salad. It was perfect for quiet conversation and just to catch up on the day. We will return"
    Dined on 6/17/2014
  • "Whether we come here for a quick appetizer and a glass of wine or pizza and drinks or a great meat/seafood or pasta dinner the food is always perfectly cooked, servers are great and we will return often."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "We went here for Father's Day dinner with a group of 8. Everyone in our group got pasta. Pastas were all flavorful and pasta was cooked correctly. Portions were very generous and food was priced well. The service was very good. Servers were attentive and friendly."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "We love to stop in for early dinners and did just that....shared the calamari appetizer and caprese salad and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and good conversation. We wish we had more time to stay but had to rush off for an engagement. The food is always good, fresh and portions generous without being too much. We will return when we can enjoy a long leisurely meal."

  • "I made a reservation at Piccolino, not expecting anything. What we found was a tiny, loud place with outstanding food! My husband and I are both picky about our Italian food and we were very happy that we stumbled across this listing. Will definitely return!"

  • "We love Piccolino....it's as simple as that. We brought our favorite bottle of wine and no corkage was charged. We started with calamari appetizer and hubby and I split a salad. Our daughter had a Caesar salad and loved it! She also had Penne (plain with butter and cheese), I had the homemade corkscrew pasta with roasted peppers, eggplant, artichoke hearts, tomatoes and olive oil...it curled my toes. Hubby had Tortino and said it was delicious. Thank you Piccolino for a lovely meal for our family!"

  • "Since we discovered Piccolino's we have made it a point to eat here whenever we want GREAT Italian food. We have never been disappointed and have even become more adventurous in our menu selections because everything is SO GOOD."

  • "Piccolino provided me and my family with a great Mother's Day dinner experience. My wife and I shared the calamari appetizer and it was fresh, hot, crispy and served with a delicious dipping marinara and a squeeze of lemon. My wife ordered the special salmon and they modified it for her with pasta instead of potatoes...she loved it. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a side of fresh veggies. I ordered pasta and our daughter ordered pasta and a salad and everyone loved their meals. We will return."

  • "They had good food but zero ambience. It is a place to eat, not dine. Crowded noisy, and slow service. Nice staff, but I will go back to tuto fresco in RSM "

  • "We absolutely love the food and go as often as we can!! The salads are fresh and tasty and hubby had the cannelloni and I had the linguini and clams. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked....and we each enjoyed a glass of chianti! An overall great meal"

  • "While in an unfamiliar territory, we used Open Table to locate what we hoped would be an acceptable dining experience. What a DELIGHTFUL surprise! Don't be deterred by Piccolino's "strip mall" location, this is an EXCELLENT restaurant! Tucked into a bit of a corner nook, cleverly positioned potted landscaping "removes" the adjacent parking area from view. The dining spaces present an inviting decor. The wait staff is courteous, attentive, and knowledgable. BUT, the real find here is DELICIOUS Italian food! All of the offerings were prepared with FRESH incredients that come through in the flavors of each dish. They make their own pasta, and bake their own bread fresh daily. Piccolino's is perfect for casual dining, with FINE FOOD!"

  • "I am always looking for an excellent Italian restaurant and found one in PIccolino. I had the fusilli with Italian sausage and it was excellent. My colleagues had the halibut and were very pleased. The only problem with the restaurant was that it is small and noise carries in the small room. Had we eaten outside (there were heaters) it might have solved that problem."

  • "Wonderful friendly service and a true neighborhood gem in shopping center with quality prepared food! Well worth the visit and wish we had such a quality restaurant in our neighborhood !"

  • "nice servers for completely empty restaurant. the shrimp tasted like refrigerator. eggplant undercooked , under sauced, under seasoned. this kitchen preps dinners for nearby ayres hotel restaurant. entrees there were like first class airlines food."

  • "We found this restaurant on OpenTable and decided to try it for Mother's Day. We had an 11:30 AM seating. Very few people at the place. We all felt that for a strip mall location this place was way over priced. The food was good but nothing was served with the entree's. There Mother's day lunch was $50 a person and included one glass of champagne. Service was slow."

  • "Our first time at Piccolino's and it was very enjoyable. The menu was very extensive with many unusual selections. The staff was very attentive. In fact, the owner personally greeted us at the door! We will definitely go back again."

  • "Don't let the fact that it's fairly small and in a shopping center deceive you."
    Dined on 5/3/2013
  • "Husband had pork chop really good. I had pasta bolognese which kavier the waiter said was good because they made it this time rather than out of a can as normal! What? My favoriteenu item past witheat sauce is canned? So disappoinring, oh well pork chop was amazing"
    Dined on 4/23/2013
  • "Located in a strip mall next to a Von's, you would not think much of Piccolino, but the food is AMAZING. Duck confit filled pasta? Fantastic. Great mushroom parmesan truffle sauce (Ravioloni d'Anatra) The lamb chops are incredible, the Tortelloni di Zucca? How can you go wrong with homemade pumpkin filled tortellini? if that doesn't make you drool, the amaretto bread crumbs on it will! Staff is on tope of it and chef Salvatore Faso has proved his point, he smokes like a grass fire."

  • "The owner of the restaurant was on site and very accommodating. We ate on the outside patio which was screened from the parking lot making it very pleasant. The food was wonderful and the service very attentive. We loved the fact they we could bring our own wine with no corkage fee."

  • "The restaurant is very intimate and comfy. Great for people who want to dine in a quiet place, have great food and some wine."
    Dined on 4/1/2013
  • "Terrific. Outstanding service and the outdoor patio is lovely. Despite being in a shopping center, they do a great job of recreating a lovely outdoor scene that allows you to forget where you are for the duration of your meal. Food was fairly simple and not noteworthy, but the atmosphere and service makes up for it."

  • "After my first visit to Piccolino I couldn't wait to go back. When I did, on a recent Saturday evening, the food was still delicious but the service so poor we left to have dessert elsewhere. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived yet we were shown a table in an undesirable spot. I asked for a different table-pointing to a specific one and was told it was reserved. The waiter then retreated to the back to discuss with others where he should "put them." In a small restaurant, every word can be heard. We were seated at a table for six near the kitchen entrance. Go figure. Every word from the kitchen staff could be heard as they brushed past us to go in and out. And Osso Buco for $35? Service needs to improve to warrant that price!"

  • "Service was outstanding plus the owner comes out to check on you and introduce himself. He even knew it was our first time in and welcomed us. The food is very good! Most items such as pasta and pizza dough are made in house. Great find!"

  • "Noisy. Difficult to have a conversation. Would not go back durimg the weekend. Great during the week."

  • "Valentine's Day was perfect event though the staff was stretched. They handled the overflow crowd well, service was great, food was outstanding and even time to chat with the owner. I need to go back when all the lovers are angry to see how the staff handles the experience. Don't pass up this hidden gem"

  • "We celebrated Valentine's Day at Piccolino's this year. As always, the food was terrific, as was the service. This was a very busy night for them. All the tables were taken by 6:00, but the wait staff didn't miss a beat. While they had a special menu for Valentine's Day for $50 per person, they also let customers order ala carte if they preferred. And early birds like us were able to order from the regular menu. We have never been disappointed in Piccolino's and this visit was no exception."

  • "Well the food was great, the waiters were good but, it probably may have been cause of valentines day, took very long for our dishes to be picked up and to receive the check. Overall the restaurant was okay but I doubt I would go back soon."
