  • "Delicious meals, scrumptious desserts, and service that can't be beat anywhere in Santa Clarita. Authentic Italian food found here!"

  • "The menu had many options. The wine list a plenty. The staff was very attentive and brought out a little plate of bruschetta and some focaccia bread for dipping in oil and balsamic. They even brought out garlic and grated cheese for our bread experience. Two of us picked entrees from the specials. One from the main menu and one created simply out of vegetables they had available. They were extremely accomadating and made substitutions. Our entrees took a bit to come out but when they did it was amazing. Portion were a bit small. We finished with the chocolate dessert and the apple dessert. Neither dessert knocked our socks off. The chocolate one was ok. The apple one was blah. Apples were like applesauce and flavorless. The Canolli was great!"

  • "I made reservations and asked for a specific table. Waited for a few minutes and we were where we wanted to be. GREAT waitress and dinner. Fun patrons and it was a great night....Highly recommend this restaurant..."

  • "My girlfriend and I decided to have a more formal night out. She wanted to get a little dressed up so we chose this place. We had a great time. Very quiet, great service and even better food. The staff was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic night out."

  • "My family and I were in Santa Clarita on a college tour trip when we discovered Piccola Trattoria. We had been recommended a very expensiver steak house that didn't get the best of reviews on Open Table, so as we poked around for an alternative we came upon this restaurant, which turned out to be a great decision indeed. The service was excellent, the montepulciano was outstanding and inexpensive, and the filet special I had was one of the best steaks I think I've ever had. The risotto was delicious, as was the Osso Bucco. Comfortable, great service, reasonable prices, espcially considering the quality of the food. What more could you ask?"

  • "Best restaurant in Canyon Country. Real Italian food prepared wonderfully. Never been disappointed and I've been there more than a dozen times."

  • "We had a lovely dinner here; what stood out, as is appropriate at a restaurant, was the food. We had the eggplant parmagian hors d'oeuvre and both felt it was truly extraordinary--the tomato sauce was out of this world and it complemented the cheese and eggplant in a way that told you why the dish was invented. I had a salmon with a port wine cherry sauce and my wife had a risotto--both were out of the ordinary though not in the rarefied range of the eggplant. The service and milieu were quite acceptable, even pleasant."

  • "I've been coming to Piccola for years, since back when it used to be much more Piccola (smaller). I'm always amazed by the food-tops in LA, and impressed by the gracious service and rustic room. I'm from New York and have been to Italy many times, but I miss neither when I'm in Piccola Trattoria."

  • "We ordered the eggplant parm to start with. That was fantastic, light and and good amount for a starter. My boyfriend got a chicken dish that had a lemon sauce, capers, mash potatoes and veggies. That was to die for. I ordered the half lobster tail with crab pasta. Big disappointment! The lobster was so chewy and over cooked. The crab was fishy and tough also. The pasta was blank and a little under cooked for my taste. They did refund us for my entree, which we appreciated. I would go back but I would definitely order something different."

  • "Had a delicious dinner on Saturday! Appetizers: Beef Carpaccio and Eggplant Parmiggiana; Dinner: Veal Ravioli, Black & White Seafood Ravioli, Chicken Milanese, Linguini w/ Clams; Dessert: Apple Tartan and Tiramisu. Great wine and beer."

  • "This was our fifth or sixth time at Piccola Trattoria and we have never had a bad experience there with either the food or the service. The meals have been delicious and always arrive hot and prepared as ordered."

  • "No red and white checkered tables, no meatballs and spaghetti. Authentic Italian food, deliciously prepared. Interesting varied selection of entrees. Good service, decent prices, very nice, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Quite a nice change from what one usually finds in the Santa Clarita area."

  • "I've been to Piccola Trattoria a couple of times and I'm always surprised by how good it is. Maybe because in this land of chain restaurants it's hard to find a local place with good food. There's a nice wine list, the food selection is familiar but not stodgy and everything I've eaten there has been delicious. I think it's one of the best restaurants in Santa Clarita and I need to go back more often."

  • "This a little restaurant that is great and has been a terrific addition to our city. The food offerings are always top-notch, the wine list is inspiring, and the ambiance is ideal. Every time we have dined there, whether for a holiday or special occasion, we have enjoyed the best of food and service. We'll be back."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentines Day Dinner. Found it on Yelp and all the reviews were nothing but good things. Once we arrived it lived up to the expectation. Beautiful ambiance and great food. We will definitely be returning."

  • "This is the place to go whether special occassion, the food is always excellent and I try everything on the menu to prove otherwise. This was Valentines Day special and I had purchased a gold butterfly & neckace for my bride of 30 years. I gave the serving staff the ne klace and asked them to put on the desert plate. Needlace to say my wife was amazed that a gold ne klace came with desert. It was as perfect as perfect can be."

  • "Delicious valentine dinner. The carrot orange leek soup was the best soup we have had anywhere even at 5 star places. Salad was fresh light and tasted great. Both entrees were specials. My wife had nut crusted halibut and not a drop remained on the plate when she was done. I had pasta dish with lobster and crab which was delicious. At $28 the shellfish was not top quality but did I not expect it to be. It tasted fresh and was good. The portions of everything were perfect. Dessert was fastastic. Raspberry cake with lots to fresh rasberries and cream on top. Not a crumb left. Service was amazing as if we were in expensive gourmet place. Friendly and very attentive without being attrusive. $98 for two. What a great special dinner!"

  • "Cesar was very good waiter. Food was spectacular. Will return. Had a bottle of wine with dinner and it was very good, not overpriced for the quality. The Bucatini Pasta with Angie's Meatballs had amazing flavor. Everything was high quality and fresh. Thank you."

  • "In a matter of just about 8 years, Piccola has become the place everyone talks about; "have you been"; "when will you go next?". No longer the quiet place on weekends, now the time to go is mid week if you want quiet; otherwise, an energetic, happy place to enjoy a great meal with friends, family or just the two of you!"

  • "Piccola Trittoria is fine dining at it's best. The service is impeccable and to think it's right here in Santa Clarita. Everything is home made. It's quiet and peaceful and the place to go if you are tired of noisy sports bars."

  • "We were celebrating a special family event, but even if we weren't this restaurant would have been perfect. Our server was professional yet personal. We tried to recreate a recent dining experience in Rome just for fun, and she being from Sicily, was very helpful and gracious. The portions were perfect and exceptionally flavorful, especially the risotto. We ordered a bottle of wine from a region we visited in Tuscany. An overall wonderful evening."

  • "Another extraordinary experience, service, food and ambience continues to be exceptional. Tried the Calamari Risotto for the first time and it will be a repeat request. It is usually hard to make a choice from the menu selections. Smiles and warmth on all faces and fast becoming "the place to go" in Santa Clarita / Valencia. Well worth the drive. Wine list continues to expand and several Italian and Domestic wines from which to choose."

  • "This restaurant had been recommended to me by several people, but due to its tucked away location in Canyon Country, I just kept forgetting about it. Well, not anymore! The food was wonderful, well presented, nice size portion and cooked perfectly! Their desserts are all made fresh daily and the Pana Cotta was to die for! I even found myself craving their simple field green salad with fresh balsamic dressing the next day. Santa Clarita is plagued with food chain restaurants and we desperately need more family owned eateries. Lastly and most importantly, the service was impeccable! It was so noticable that everyone at our table began to comment about it. Great service with skilled waiters and support staff is an art. Love this place!"

  • "Bar none, this is the best Italian restaurant that I have found in years. I am often surprised at many people's concept of what good Italian food tastes like. If you want to know what real homemade Italian food is, this is the place to go. Being an East Coast Italian of Roman and Venetian descent, with a mother born in Italy, I can honestly say that the food at Piccola Trattoria is some of the best I have ever eaten anywhere. The dover sole melts in your mouth, the desserts are beyond delicious, and the service is so attentive and friendly that I would recommend this warm, and welcoming Italian restaurant to anyone."

  • "My husband and I ate at this restaurant with another couple, and the food was great. Two of us ordered the ravioli special which was excellent. The soup of the day, pea soup, was also delicious. We were too full for dessert this time, but the table next to us ordered dessert, and the dessert tray looked fabulous. I have eaten at this restaurant once before with friends, but it was the first time for the other three. We will definitely go back and soon."

  • "If you haven't tried Piccola Trattoria yet, what are you waiting for???? This is the best restaurant around! The food is superb, service is great, homemade breads and desserts, nice wine list and the prices are very reasonable. Not only do you get to choose from the regular menu but they also have monthly specials to mix things up a little. Their orzo dishes are cooked just right, rich and creamy. The calamari appetizer is so light and served with a delicious marinara sauce. Salads are alway tasty, they don't go overboard on the dressing so you get all the flavors of the salad. Give this place a try if you haven't already done so!"

  • "Having lived in Italy for a some years, this is one of the only restaurants we have found that is really and truly authentic. We were sad to see the long time pastry chef had left though and felt the dessert was not the same. Good luck to him as he has returned to Italy. The food is fabulous and the service is authentic as well! Great place to visit if you want to speak the language with some of the wait staff! The space is a little crowded but overall, this place is the best in Southern California for authentic Italian!"

  • "Service always very reliable, not intrusive or pushy, yet responsive and anticipates EVERYTHING. (you can practice your Italian if Caesare is waiter) The food was delightful! We had the Ravioli Crustacei stuffed with seafood, and it was great. The clams vognole were wonderful, with good supply of clams and pasta. Parking here is easy, cheerful valet, and when you leave, staff gather at the door to say 'goodbye', much like a sushi bar. Pricing was reasonable: we had 2 entrees, shared a big salad and dessert, non-alcohol drinks. With tax and tip, total was $69."
