We suspected that we would have a good experience when we noted that the proprietor was there. The food was quite good, in particular the Osso Buco special that 2 of us enjoyed. The wine list had a nice selection and was not overpriced. The service was fine, but nothing to write home about. While a couple folks enjoyed their Tiramisu for desert, the mini cannoli were pretty weak. The filling was not very good and they were garnished with too much pistachio. All-in-all a very good experience with good food, decent service and reasonable prices. It is a great place for conversation--whether your guest is a friend, loved one or business colleague, the setting is perfect for a discussion over a great meal. Their fried asparagus appetizer is one of the best dishes in the city, in my view--it's just wonderful. All of the entrees I've had have been fabulous as well. We are planning to have our husbands join us in the very near future. We have never been disappointed in our excellent food or service. We are even seated at the same table each time we come which makes us feel even more special!
It is easy to get in and out even though it is in the heart of the busy Galleria area.
