  • "This place never disappoints. The food and service is always consistent and good. Who doesn't love their signature asparagus appetizer. I had the chicken Marsala and it was absolutely delicious."

  • "I am so happy that Piatto has brought back my favorite, the Agrume salad. It is very fresh, with citrus and nuts. I added grilled chicken, which was moist and delicious rather than dry, as I find it elsewhere. The owners of this family business make you feel like a welcome guest for their fine and varied cooking."

  • "Piatto's has good selections for lunch and dinner. Comfortable atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices and convenient location on the edge of the Galleria. The large glass walls provide an openness that is hard to match."

  • "I was in town on business and my wife joined me. We searched Open Table and selected Piatto based the menu and reviews. The food was very good - I had risotto and my wife had chicken and pasta with a starter of asparagus. All the dishes had great presentations and tasted very good. Portions were large - maybe a little too large but that maybe standard for Houston. Parking hint - approach from Post Oak and not the freeway access road"

  • "Asked for a table away from the crowd for an important conversation. Staff was very accommodating and the service level during lunch and the food were excellent."

  • "I dined with three friends on the evening Friday: March 7, 2014. I ordered Pasta Kickerillo and it was delicious. The shrimp were fresh and the pasta cooked perfectly al dente. My friends said their meals were excellent as well. All four plates were cleared! The service excelled at the Four Ps: Polite, Prompt, Professional, and Proficient. Complimentary valet parking is provided and it was very prompt and easy to use. I felt the prices were very reasonable especially for the quality received. Most pasta are in the $15 - $20 range and portions are large. We shared a Tiramisu and it was good - not great and huge - enough for at least two people. We all agreed that we want to return in the future. Highly recommended."

  • "The restaurant is tucked away, but valet was convenient. Waiter was very accommodating, making adjustments to the dish to meet my flavor preferences. My girlfriend and I thought everything was delicious, my steak and her chicken cooked perfectly. The great reviews about the asparagus crab appetizer were accurate. Course timing perfect, table maintenance perfect. Enjoyable atmosphere. Will definitely come back."

  • "Enjoyed this restaurant slightly off the beaten path. Chicken and spinach/garlic mashed potatoes very good. Service level just right. A bit noisy because of the relatively small space."

  • "We found Piatto through Open Table as we were looking for a nice Valentine's Dinner that would not be far from our hotel in the Galleria. We also did not want to pay an arm and a leg for the meal. Piatto is reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. If you factor in location Piatto is like a hidden gem amongst the other pricey Galleria restaurants. The servers were amazing, Victor and the others who came and checked on our table. I appreciate Open Table for the great recommendation. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. I had the rosemary lamb chops and he had tortellini with diced Italian Sausage on top."

  • "My office is in Williams Tower just across the street from Piatto so I frequent it quite a bit. The service is always excellent and have never had a disappointing experience here. They have one of the best calamari appetizers you're likely to find anywhere in town."

  • "Good variety's Seafood, Chicken, Italian. Great Asparagus Crabmeat appetiser. Lamb was very good, chicken piccata excellent. Will definitely go back. Loved seeing John Marion's Mom"

  • "This is a restaurant that I never see in "Best of Houston" kinds of lists, but don't let that fool you, it's really excellent. The house speciality, the asparagus appetizer, is really and truly excellent. Every time we go, the service is excellent--attentive and quick, but never overbearing. My wife loves the creme brûlée as well. The entrees are all good, but just not quite as good as the appetizer, and they are generally pretty heavy--they do not skimp on butter, cheese, and crabmeat here. If you're looking for something lighter, this isn't quite it. If you're looking for someplace where you can have a rich meal where the staff will take good care of you, this is a great choice. Never disappointed, but always super full..."

  • "I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is the best Italian I have had in the area. It is great home cooked food. From the incredible asparagus appetizer with crabmeat to my favorite, chicken marsala and the incredible lemon cheesecake. Every dish I have had there is outstanding! The waiters are very attentive and help you out and the majority of them have been there for almost ten years. The owner and his mom are often there and they are always friendly and go around and talk to the tables. A lot of people that come are regulars and for good reason - you can't beat the food or the service. I always take my friends there and they always want to go back. Such a great restaurant!"

  • "We found this restaurant last year through Open Table and just absolutely love it. Last year, it was just my husband and I, for Valentine's Day. This year it was with a whole group for our daughter's 21st birthday. Each time, great service, outstanding food. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Will definitely visit again and again!!"

  • "Great experience and great food. But, they did not "check me in" correctly, so I was noted a "no show" for Open Table purposes. I frequent this place, so perhaps that was the disconnect. It is open on Sunday evenings and this is a plus. I have taken out of towners there for lunch and dinner and all rave about the food and service."

  • "I've been to Piatto many times for business lunches as it sits in the Galleria area. On this date night, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful experience just as I do at lunch. The fried asparagus appetizer is a MUST. In my "foodie" opinion it is by far the best anywhere! In fact it sets the standard. I highly recommend Piatto. You won't be disappointed."

  • "We have eaten here many times over the past 12 years and find the food always consistently good. The asparagus appetizer is the BEST starter in Houston. Many of the wait staff have been there for years and provide attention service. This place is like home to us"

  • "Wonderful Italian food! Restaurant is a little bit noisy and despite having reservations they manager to sit us at separate tables even when we both gave the name the reservation was under. Waiter was wonderful just the Hostess needs some more training"

  • "We have benn coming here for years and it is consistently good! I always get the Chicken Picatta (with my own twist to it) but opted for the Veal Chop this visit....delicious! Service is excellent....the menu has something for everyone...nice wine list...great for "date night", groups, and families. Try it!"

  • "There were 4 people in our party. The food was excellent. The owner of the restaurant stopped by our table to check on us and stayed to chat for about 10 minutes. It was great to experience such wonderful personal attention. The actual server was MIA for the majority of the dinner, saw him only to take our order and deliver food and bill."

  • "Piatto has great food, and attentive service. The food is always fresh, and they often have great specials. My favorite is the Risotto Primavera, and their apparagus with crab is the one we measure all others by...it's that wonderful!"

  • "Went to Piatto's for the first time on a Sunday evening. It was not crowded at all. There was a party dining in a separate room that looked like a nice spot for a group event. Menu had lots of great options and food was very good. I'd like to go back on another night to try something different and check out the crowd. Very reasonably priced."

  • "We came with a large group (10) very early (6:00 pm) for a "meeting" of sorts, so were more focused on our conversation than the some of the things above. We underestimated group size and the staff discreetly added a table to our set up to accommodate the last two to arrive. All food for our large group came out at the same time and hot. Everyone said that their food was tasty, ranging from pasta to salmon to entree salads. The noise level was low (although maybe because it was early) and it was easy for us to hear each other. The servers were very attentive, even though we were not big spenders."

  • "If you go, by all means, order the fried asparagus topped with crab meat! That one dish is worth the trip. The rest of the food is above average, but no single dish really stands out, at least among those that we've tried. Service is on the slow side, but it's consistent, so if you're in a hurry, I'd definitely make it a point to tell the server. Noise can be a problem because of all the hard surfaces (tile floors, glass walls, etc.). Valet parking is available, or you can take a chance parking in Dillard's lot right across the street (we've done both, and never had a problem). Prices are very reasonable."
