The food is really delicious and beautifully presented. We love the energy of the dining room and have had dinner at the bar where all the action is. It is relatively small, and usually full. I have dietary restrictions and they are always willing to adjust the meals. They have a great gluten free menu. We particularly like their chopped salad as a great way to set us up for an outstanding filet, yum yum. I asked for some fresh fruit for dessert and it came to me apparently prepared by the exec. chef in a gorgeous presentation, even though it wasn't on the menu. From someone who is often limited in selection options, I really appreciate the extra care. By the way, the tiramisu eaten by my husband is one of the best around.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat LunchWe brought a friend to the restaurant, we had not seen each other in quite a while so we wanted to talk and catch up. The place was quite noisy for 1:30 timeframe. They were busy which is good for the business. The food was excellent and our server was one of the best I have seen in a long time. His name was Tyler and he gave us great recommendations on the Snapper dish which was prepared perfectly. My reservation was for 1pm, so the targeted table was in use by another guest, understandably. The staff was gracious, setting me in the bar to work, and making multiple options available to me, including waiting for the original table. During the meal, the servers were polite and unobtrusive. They bring a lovely selection of sweet breads, muffins and biscuits. The service is good and the servers are very courteous. The atmosphere is relaxing there is a pretty patio when the weather allows or the fireplace when it's nice. The hostess called me to ask for my mom's name the morning of and we were given personalized menus. What a nice touch! We were quickly sat at a table right next to the fire place which mom loved especially since it was a chilly morning. The server brought out a plate of mini-breakfast pastries. I also asked for the famous bread and dipping sauce which they warmed up for us without hesitating. Started with the mussels which were cooked in a sausage, tomato, garlic sauce which we sopped up. Prawn Pasta for mom and crab cake Benedict for me. Both great choices. My wife loves the Salmon and I enjoy the Taglietti with sausage in the lemon broth. Kids love the pasta but not the pizza. Fun to make at the table but not very tasty once baked. We eat here once a week. My husband is disabled.
The hostess said that she didn't have a booth, but she would indicate that we would prefer a booth for our next visit. We were then seated, and to our delight a booth became available and we were able to move!
It was my birthday, and I really enjoyed having my name on the menu and also the delicious dessert with a lit candle.

They have a gluten free menu which is much appreciated. I would reccommend they find or make and serve some delicious gluten free rolls or bread to serve so glutenfree'ers are not left out when theybring their delicious dipping sauce.
The risotto on the fspecial farm menu loaded w vegetables was fabulous. Sarah took such good care of us, she picked a wonderful Pinot Noir to go with our dinner...I am usually a Syrah or Zin girl...the Pinot was to die for! Everyone went above and beyond to make our night special. It's easy to see that everyone is enjoying their time here. The local food used in the daily specials is always so fresh and delicious. The chef combines very interesting ingredients, some very familiar and some new to me. I had the special Little Boy Gems salad and the Guitar String Pasta with Prawns, which was light and very tasty.

You can't go wrong with making Piatti's a frequent choice for lunch or dinner. My son was home from college so we ate in the dining room with our favorite waiter, Robert. I had the meatloaf, which was the best I've ever had. College kid had the lemon pasta (handmade) and he thought it was wonderful. Delicious cocktails. I especially like the Ruby Red Cosmo, that has just the right amount of tartness. Service is always top notch. The service was outstanding from the hostesses to the servers. It was warm, friendly, and timely without being pushy. The menu had a great variety of food choices to satisfy any appetite without being over-the-top. Their drink and wine list was also good.
I would recommend Piatti to anyone for an outdoor lunch or a romantic dinner in the evening.
