"Phillips Seafood is the place for crab cakes. Again, this dinner proved it. The crab soup was a bit too heavy and bland for my taste, but the crab cakes were loaded with crab. The side dishes, alas, did not live up to the crab. The dinner rolls tasted stale. So, overall, a passable evening, but could have been better."

"seating request met graciously, crab cakes outstanding, ditto calamari, oysters fresh and flavorful, but two were gritty with shell bits. Old menu posted on website, several things we wanted on it not available--big disappointment! But the mussels in white wine sauce didn't disappoint, and sopped up all the juice with wonderful bread. Service attentive but not overly so, atmosphere quiet and intimate, lights too low to read menu, but extra little candles provided upon request. Came for the crab cakes, and they were as advertised, big lumps, no filler, beautifully seasoned. Comparable to ones at Continental Mid-Town, maybe better. we would return when in Philly, or in other cities with one of the chain."

"I was left a little confused actually. Don't get me wrong-this is the place for crab. The crab bisque was fantastic and the crab cakes to die for. Having said that, there were area's where, for a restaurant of this quality, I was left confused. The bread was stale and having the Reading Terminal Market in the area, I found that extremely unacceptable. It was stale and inedible. The caeser salad was just basic. Croutons looked like they were from a box and the lettuce left much to be desired. For a $100+ meal, quite frankly, I expected more."

"The restaurant is "hidden" inside a hotel with very little outdoor signage, so it's hard to miss. Otherwise, it was a great experience with great food. Portion size was HUGE (which leads to LOTS of leftovers to further enjoy in upcoming days."

"If you're looking for great food, a romantic atmosphere with superior service the Sheraton Hotels Phillips in Center City Phila, PA is the place for you and your special someone.

It was our Wedding Anniversary so when my husband went to the wash room I told our waiter & after we completed our meal and I asked for the bill he brought out the loveliest chocolate cake & ice cream for him but since I told him I didnt like chocolate he brought out mango sorbet for me even though I had not asked it happended to be one of my favorites it was very sweet. Appetizer mushrooms stuffed with lump crabmeat, I had stuffed shrimp, broccolini with garlic mashed potatoes;hubby had salmon, asparagus with garlic potatoes."
