It was a spectacular evening. A great way to celebrate, indulge! Christopher Klapp, GM, was a superb host and professor of caviar. Thienot Champagne was a terrific surprise to the evening - and delicious! The dining room was elegant and inviting, loved the communal tables, met great dining companions, and the chef outdid herself. Manager Chris is charming and knowledgeable and explained much of the history of caviar as well as the fish themselves and the kinds of caviar. Dinner was terrific and chef Giselle took a well deserved curtain call. This was the epitome of fine contemporary French dining with great variety and modest portion sizes so one left feeling fully sated but not stuffed. Staff could not have been more accommodating. Food was great. Chef made us a special uni sea urchin plate that was amazing. Sis is going home with her jones fixed! The selection of food and wine is relatively small, compared to many restaurants. Judging from our experience, however, what is offered is of the highest quality. This restaurant provides major offerings in caviar, chocolate, champagne, and vodka (the last of which we leave to others). We were able to enjoy a bit of caviar at acceptable prices. This place turned out to be a real find.

We went there to celebrate a friend's engagement and could not have been more pleased with the food and the ambiance. Our server was great (until the last 30 minutes when he inexplicably disappeared), but the manager was fantastic. She even gave our friends an engagement gift of free caviar! We went for the groupon, and i must say that it was a filling and incredible meal. Came for the first time a few weeks ago and it has quickly become among my favorite places to dine. A lovely neighborhood gem. A gorgeous and elegant space, the dining area is on the smaller side but makes for an intimate experience and adds to its charm. I have been here twice in the past few weeks and enjoyed myself immensely on both occasions. Everyone from the hostess to servers are attentive and welcoming. A caviar lover's paradise for sure but don't discount the rest of the menu. The food is excellent and on par with among the best LA has to offer. Experience. We went there for DineLA and added the caviar. The food is really creative, more than the typical French restaurant. The lamb shank was particularly outstanding as was the chocolate cake. This restaurant has a quiet, elegant though casual place, perfect for date night and conversation.
