I don't often review a restaurant, but Petrossian deserves the attention and accolades. Fantastic food, lovely setting and superb service. It is always a treat to share an evening there. From the moment you walk in, everyone is welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the caviar-centric menu - there is a lot to choose from without the eggs. But the caviar . . . sigh, it is a treat and the everyone is always excited to explain each iteration, source and difference. A wonderful restaurant that provides value and a complete experience.

It's been a while since I've dined at this location since the last time was not so positive. I prefer to go on off days now since there are not as many parties dining. I will avoid the hot days of the week and definitely all holidays. Getting ignored at a high end place while paying for the high end price does not fly with me. Won't let that happen to me again. Regardless of my past experiences, I know I cannot forgo this place since they have 2 of my most favorite things to eat: eggs & caviar. Food and champagne were both delicious. I left a happy camper. Still craving to go back for more.....

We were visiting a relative in the neighborhood and wanted to have a nice lunch after our visit. I am so glad we decided on Petrossian. Our server was professional, yet friendly. My husband got into a discussion with him about the Petrossian Family history and our waiter spoke about it with a great deal of knowledge and seemed glad to entertain my husband with the family history. All in all it was a great experience.

Petrossian was missed on reviewer Jonathon Gold's list f top 101 restaurants in LA. The question is why. Known for its caviar, it is the creative food that is distinctive. The heirloom tomato appetizer and especially the duck rillette were both fantastic and not something usually found in this iteration. The tomato rested on house made ricotta and a potato pancake, topped with caviar. I have rarely seen a rillette outside of France and this one was delightful. I ordered salmon, unusual for me as it is a relatively common dish but this was an unusual and delicious presentation. The hanger steak was also quite nice. This small, plain yet elegant dining room has widely spaced tables to enable conversation, a pleasant comparison to most.

My husband and I came for dine LA, and I had been once before that. The dine LA menu was ok. My husband's duck was much better than my crab corn chowder. His steak was pretty good, while my salmon was over cooked and tough. The desserts were very good as was the wine. All in all a pretty good dinner with fairly attentive service... But a little overpriced. When I came before for vodka, caviar with the creme freche and bread, and dessert I would give it 5 stars. This place has an awesome specialities, and going outside of those is just ok.

We returned for DineLA, so we had good expectations for our visit. The pate & crostini was good and the corn soup was tasty and generously proportioned. The salmon was nicely prepared but could have used more pickled vegetables as the side dish. The truffle risotto was good. The desserts were a nice combination of sweet and crunchy textures. Service was good as it always is.

The food is wonderful but I would seriously recommend taking your own wine. The corkage fee would be worth it. The wine was OK but horrendously overpriced for what it was. Will definitely return but will be bringing a good vintage with us.

The service was fantastic with friendly, polite, efficient and helpful wait and bus staff. Sat outdoors on Robertson and it was very pleasant. Very unique menu items that were a real treat. It was a pre-concert anniversary meal and we would do it again. BTW, it was an early concert and so we were seated about 4pm. This is a great place to go if you want a bite before an event. Take my noise level rating with a grain of salt. We were eating on the street.

Chef Giselle Wellman is brilliant! Every dish was beautifully crafted and well balanced. Her modern take on the restaurant's classic dishes brings the food to new heights. Be careful though, it's very easy to over order. We ended up rolling out the door stuffed to the brim. HIGHLY recommend the burger (perfection), flatbread, soft boiled egg with whipped vodka cream, and caviar pasta. Service was great, attentive and knowledgable. I would recommend The Petrossian for anyone who appreciates great food.

We Have Been To Petrossian Before For Caviar, And Were Surprised That They Now Offer A Palate To Serve The Caviar On To Your Plate, Which I Enjoyed !!! However The Food Server Needs To Inform His Customer's Rather Then The People He Has Just Served... Having To Call Him Over On What The Palate Was For . OPPS

I have known Petrossian for ever in their original french version but it was my first Los Angeles experience. I found it to be a pretty impressive one. Set on trendy Robertson blvd, the restaurant is very low key yet extremely elegant. I'm always nervous bringing a travel zoo coupon to this kind of upscale places but they were absolutely fine with it. Service was perfect, dinner to die for and dessert was surely made in heaven (panacotta). Champagne of course, completed a beautiful experience, We'll definitely go again, with or without a coupon.

I've always had exceptional service here, but the night I went for Valentine's day / my Birthday, it was subpar. Got a bottle of champagne and more than once sitting there staring at the bottle from afar with no server to come fill. I saw the manager go around talking to some parties, but never once came around to see how we were. I've always given this place a full 5 star on everything, but this time I was very unimpressed. Will be going back since caviar is one of my most favorite things to eat, but not for a while.

I love everything at Petrossians. I was sadly disappointed in their Lobster Roll, which had 8 bites of lobster, 2 pieces of uni in a 6"roll. Which cost $38 bucks? Very sad, I passed up Beef Tartar w/ Caviar for this? The fries on the plate overwhelmed me, I think there were 4x more fries than the size of the roll?
