  • "This little gem is fabulous..... can't come to Phoenix without eating here. "

  • "Good atmosphere, food was very good. They have a number of the traditional French Bistrot dishes such as bouillabaisse (not using the same ingredients you would get in Provence) which was good. Highly recommend."

  • "Petite Maison never disappoints. We brought friends here for their first time and they loved it. Had the rabbit and it was wonderful. I love the fact that the owner comes around to check on you. Nice touch. I asked for the outdoor table next to the fireplace and got it!! They even held it for us when I called and said we'd be late. LOVE this place!!"

  • "Had a wonderful meal and sat outside. The waiter was very helpful and made sure we did not lack anything. The owner also came by a couple times to see how we were doing. Salmon Carpaccio was outstanding, as was the boulibase. ."

  • "This quaint French restaurant is a refreshing change to the larger, corporate restaurants in the Phoenix area. The dining areas are beautiful--both indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious, delicately flavored, and clearly from a chef and staff that know their business."

  • "This was our second time dining at the Petite Maison. The food was again outstanding. We were running a little late and we appreciate the staff accomodating our reservation even though it was past the normal closing time! We were prepared to go elsewhere because we were late, but the staff was willing to stay late and accomodate our reservation! Kudos to the team! We love this place!"

  • "We love trying restaurants that neither of us have been, so we tried Petite Maison! We loved it! The staff was very accomodating. the food was excellent and the service is fantastic. It is a great place to have a nice romantic dinner."

  • "Restaurant was not busy at lunchtime, yet the waiter seemed preoccupied and slow to respond. Did not receive the ice tea I had ordered, but was charged for it although was robed when requested. Portions were small. Salad with cauliflower was bland and cauliflower was overcooked. Appetizer with ricotta cheese was also bland. A disappointing experience."

  • "We were six of the lucky few who signed up in time to experience one of three of Petite Maison"s Picnic On The Patio dinners. The theme was a Southern Feast complete with fried chicken, okra, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and bread pudding for dessert. We were all seated at two long red checkered covered tables and were served "family style". And we were honored to have the owners/chef and sous cheft join us for dinner and conversation! It was one of those perfect evenings - warm and breezy, great companions, delicious food, and a convivial atmosphere. Petite Maison made many new and loyal clients that night!! Can't wait to return for one of their regular dinners or another Picnic on the Patio!"

  • "The food was quite good. I had the Pho and my wife had oysters for appetizers. The oysters were excellent. The pho was tasty, but way too salty for my taste. For dinner my wife had the scallops, which were large and succulent. She enjoyed them very much. I had the duck cassoulet. It was good, but the scallops were better. For desert we had the carrot cake which was excellent. Overall very good, but I had to get up several times in night to drink water. Like most restaurants, they use way too much salt."

  • "This "little house" is such a gem. We visited during our 1 hour lunch break and they were very accomodating, allowing us to call our order in ahead of time. This allowed us to sit back and relax without feeling too rushed. The food was flavorful. I loved the beet salad and the cardamom pot de creme. The staff were professional and very friendly. Location is easy to find, just east of Scottsdale Road, but far enough away that it is still quiet and relaxing. The interior is cozy and warm. The patio dining is comfortble and shaded. The foilage around the barrier helps to seclude you from the road so you don't feel like you are being observed by everyone who drives/walks by. I will definitely visit Petite Maison again! Loved every aspect of it!"

  • "It was not what we expected for a French restaurant.. The mustard sauce with the steak was unimaginative and not what we are used to in an upscale French restaurant. No vegetables with the entrée was rather skimpy. The waitress did not fill the water glasses in a timely manner."

  • "Having dined here many times, we keep coming back because it is a jewel in sea of mediocre to good restaurants. The food is always good, tasty and varied and served at a leisurely at efficient pace. The owner is generally on the premises always in view putting the final touch. Inside or outside dining but a small intimate restaurant, Cebtrally located with valet parking available, top of the evening's experience. Can't wait to go back soon."

  • "I live in the area and wanted a great spot for my out of town foodie friends and when they suggested French as their first choice of food, I was stumped and took a chance. Everything was great, my friends were impressed and I will be back."

  • "Like many Canadians, we are always on "poutine patrol" when dining in French restaurants, and we're pretty jaded! The duck poutine at Petite Maison is second to NONE! HUGE, rich, great depth of flavor, we were in heaven! Mussels were perfect with broth to die for! Bottomless champers kept our glasses brimming, and the service was attentive and professional, striking just the right balance. Going back for the foie gras!"

  • "I've driven past LPM numerous times and just NOW made reservations while a friend was visiting from out of town. We both LOVED it. The outdoor patio (with fireplace!) was great. It was quiet except for the occasional group of bikers on their harleys. I can't say enough about the food. We just had small plates - the fromage, salmon tartare and the tomato bisque. The food was outstanding. It's a great place to celebrate something special or spend time with a friend you haven't seen in a long time. Tell your friends!! Don't wait as long as I did to make your reservations."

  • "We had reservations for at 615 for an early dinner and the evening was windy. We were seated on the outdoor patio and when we requested an inside table we were told they only had room at the bar, though at that time there was only one inside table occupied. Our table and chairs on the patio were littered with leafs and twigs which had blown off the surrounding landscape. At no time did the hostess or the waiter attempt to clean up the table for us but instead watched us remove the debris. Also while the hostess was seating us she received a phone call and she answered the phone in the middle of speaking to us without saying excuse me. She did at least put the call on hold so she could finish with us. We did not stay for dinner."

  • "A great find and the food was fabulous, its the type of place that you get to enjoy your food and never feel rushed! Table 42 is the one to ask for as its bby the outdoor fireplace!"

  • "Poor management. No bread or butter at a French restaurant?! Lobster soufflé missing the lobster. Burger not cooked as requested and then blamed by management as though it was our fault. Also missing the foie gras on the burger. Didn't stay for dessert."

  • "A little French bistro in Scottsdale off on a side street from Scottsdale Blvd. The outdoor patio immediately takes you to France! Food is very good, well presented and service is impeccable."

  • "I hesitate to write this, as I don't want this place overrun w/people! We happened upon Petit Maison after reading a 'happy hour' review in New Times. Happy hour was very quiet, food and drinks were excellent. They served oysters - and they were, I believe, the best we ever ate! We therefore, went back for dinner and that proved to be delightful. Showed up at the end of happy hour - so managed to get in some oysters which were as wonderful as remembered. Ordered the scallops which were awesome - no iodine taste....... Also had the mussels and bouillabaisse. All spectacular. We eat out in different places quite often, but this was probably in the top two for sure!! It will be a new favorite haunt!!!!"

  • "We went to Petit Maison on a rare Phoenix rainy night, and it was the perfect place. Without outside dining that night, the cozy space of 10 tables was perfect. The menu is both creative and broad, the wine list is thoughtfully edited (for my wine snob boyfriend, that is saying something) and the service was the best we have experienced state-side, quite frankly. I don't have a single element I would have changed - we had four appetizers since we prefer lots of different tastes, and the duck pho, escargots with bone marrow, salmon tartare and foie gras were all amazing, unique and delicious. A place we will come back to as often as possible when we are in town - it is special."

  • "Not only is the restaurant charming, and warm, but the food is great as well. It's a cozy spot, totally unlike (thankfully) the big chains. It's the kind of restaurant you'd find on the winding, back streets of Paris. The service is friendly, the food is delicious, and the restaurant exudes warmth. Can't ask for more than that."

  • "Have dined here many times and it keeps getting better. Impeccable service, courteous and helpful hostess, attentive ownership, charming ambiance. And the food is terrific and ranks right up there as the best in Scottsdale. Took dining experienced out of towners from Chicago and they loved the place.Cannot wait for the next visit will be all too soon."

  • "One of the most charming restaurants, in the Valley. Alas, it was even more so, before the interior was redecorated. What was once "Old World Charm" has been replaced with an attempt at a more modern look. It is neither chic nor avant garde; it is neo Motel Six. That being said, the garden patio is as pretty and inviting as ever, with a riot of color from the flowers and shrubs, enhanced by the subtle perfume, wafting on a breeze - it is a treat, for all the senses. The background music (especially if it is a French chanteuse, can transport you to the bank of the Seine, in the blink of an eye. The food is remarkable, with expert attention given to presentation. Service is knowledgeable, genial, timely and gracious. Thomas is a gem."

  • "I've eaten there several times but this time for lunch, the place looks like it needs some sprucing up and the food was a little off. Tidy up the patio a little. Items served were a little different than what was described on the menu."
