A word from Peter Lowell's
Casual, organic cuisine from the Italian tradition. Our menu offers local, small production wines paired with seasonal, Italian creations by Chef Seamus Guevara. Through our common vision, we bring you a community space that is classy, high-end food that is healthy, and top tier wines that are accessible. Hand made pasta, thin crust pizza, braised greens and an assortment of local meats, cheeses, and seasonal produce are the core of our menu. On our heated and covered patio or in our cozy dining room, we hope our vision makes you feel both welcomed and satiated. Cheers!

Friendly. Attentive. We sat at the bar. They were great. Food delish. Happy that it was recommended to us, not sure we would have found it otherwise. But those in the know, know!

We endured a bit of a wait at Peter Lowell's this time as it is getting pretty popular. Cooled our heels (outside in the cold!) for 30 minutes as we waited for the table to clear. Once inside it was bustling and loud, including a live music duo that made it hard to converse. Despite all this we enjoyed our dinners which included nettle soufflé, rice balls, pizza with meatballs and local cod. The only downer was the pasta, surprising since it is usually good here. Finished up with delicious house ice creams including mascarpose, vanilla and caramel. We still enjoy Peter Lowell's, but it is fair to say that it is not what it used to be either in cuisine or ambiance. Even so, it's a great place to enjoy some local food in Sebastopol.

Wonderful healthy food with some creative twists. Marvelous thin, crispy pizzas, wonderful beans with greens dishes and killer chocolate chip cookies. Small place so we had to wait about 30 minutes on a Tuesday night even though we had reservations. They were very helpful and we waited with drinks on the patio. Can't wait to go back!

Unique menu makes eating at Lowell's an adventure. Our party of three dined on soup and salad, halibut and fingerling potatoes, and a pizza. All were well prepared and tasty. If you want to dine at a slightly off-beat restaurant obviously owned by someone who is passionate about food, then try Lowell's.

Gorgeous, delicious, healthy food with flawless presentation. If I lived in the area I would have to fight to resist eating there daily. As it was, the waiter had to talk us down from ordering too many dishes - we wanted to eat everything. Quite a treat.

We went to Peter Lowell's directly following a bad movie -- thank goodness. A couple of glasses of wine and a splendid relaxing dinner made the evening nice again. My husband had the halibut, which he said might have been the best he's ever eaten. I got a taste and agreed. I was happy, as always, with the comforting, hot Macro Bowl. We will, of course, be back.

Three of us ate last Friday at Peter Lowell's. We live near Sebastopol and this is a restaurant we frequently visit. This night Peter Lowell was not at the restaurant. The food was below his normal standards. My Ceasar salad contained very tough parts of Romaine lettuce and most of it remained uneatened. Our guest had a very similar experience with her beet salad. My wife's macro bowl did not have vegetables as listed in the menu. We very much like this restaurant and want them to continue to succeed. They will have to pick up their game to get our business back.

We love this restaurant, however this time we were celebrating a birthday with good friends , we were rushed out after our meal. Thiis was a bit obvious and awkward. The owner kept coming and removing small items from our table. First a glass, then silverware, etc. Also one popular dish there comes with a small side sauce and it's not enough for the entire dish so when you ask for more, you are charged. If they gave more to start, this would not be an issue. It just seems odd to charge when you are paying well over $100 for dinner. Also they could have offered to continue our coffee service outside (even though it was cold) under a heated lamp. We will continue to dine there, but I don't think I would go back for a party

The food was a little eclectic, but prepared nicely and tasty. We found the owner and many of the patrons to be a little Sebastopol elitist, maybe even a bit snobby. The waiter was knowlegable and patient. We do plan on a return visit to sample other menu items that were intruiging.

Went North for the day and spoke to a friend who lives near Occidental and she highly recommended Peter Lowell's for lunch. A cute little place, great menu (we are veggie and there were tons of choices) and incredible deserts. We had the most amazing cookies we got for the road home - chocolate chip / sea salt. OMG - I want to drive right back there and buy more! Very attentive waitstaff - great place!

Another good effort at Peter Lowell's. Pre-Holiday dinner with friends and great enjoyment of the Peter Lowell sustainable, slow food menu. We brought our own wine, never an issue there, and enjoyed the pizzas, pasta and soups. Since it was 'Dining for Life' night, the place was packed and parking, as always, was hard to find. It's a good thing to be popular, but it does come at a cost. We lingered over our desserts which were good except for the deconstructed 'cake' which came in a jar with lots of foamy cream....not sure that you could call it cake with so little substance. Still, it's always an adventure, and usually a good one at Peter Lowell's.

We were disappointed by the lack of attention shown by the server. Even though we were the only reservation showing on the books, we were put in an area of the patio that was out of the way and noisy. We ordered the Antipasti plate and were surprised by some of the items. A large portion of potatoes and peppers overwhelmed the other more traditional items. This restaurant was very highly rated on several Internet sites, but we would never go there again.

Peter Lowell's provides consistently great food--clean, healthy and well prepared. It is by far our favorite food in Sebastopol. This visit I turned another friend on to the Macro bowl--she does not usually eat vegetarian entrees. She was blown away and can't wait to return. My other friend and I split the seitan reuban which was rich and delicious, and a salad. The service was friendly and attentive. No complaints!

This restaurant serves farm-to-table food all day long. Having eaten dinner here, I want to go back and try breakfast and lunch. There is seating inside and out, and the owners are very much involved in the operation. Peter Lowell was actually tending the bar when we arrived. We started our meal with greens. My husband had the warm greens, and I had the beans and greens. We both liked our respective choice. For entrees, we both ordered an evening special. My husband had a Moroccan vegetable dish, and I had the chicken with porcini farrotto. We both enjoyed these choices. My chicken moist and tender and seasoned to my liking. We ate at the bar and enjoyed interacting with the staff. got cookies to go, and they were to die for. We plan to go

Peter Lowell's is a small restaurant that has a nice atmosphere. There are a few 2-tops as well as a couple of larger "community" tables where two parties may end up sharing a table. Some people love it and some don't. We had the fire-roasted tomato soup and a pizza. Both were absolutely terrific. I had a glass of a local zinfandel that was quite drinkable, and reasonably priced at $9 per glass. Service was quite attentive. We really enjoyed the thin crust on the pizza.

If you want a casual meal at low key restaurant, want all the food to be of great clean fresh and adventurous ingredients, this is your spot. The service was friendly, the food took a little while, but I like this, I never want to be rushed. Went with a friend visiting from Europe, and we yakked the night away, what a great comfortable and yummy evening.

We had dinner with our son & his girlfriend. Wonderful meal, friendly & helpful wait staff. We sat outside on a great summer evening. Had delicious new (to us)red wine called "Pinhead Red", suggested by our waiter, Matt Burd. Started with Antipasti with cheeses, olives, roasted garlic, peppers & other fresh veges. Also had appetizer special, Sweet Corn Sformato (sweet corn, tomato relish and parmigiana), Ravioli special(roasted carrots, pistachios, prosciutto and sunflower sprouts), Summer's Entree special (roasted eggplant, tofu ricotta, braised in Tomato Ragu). All paired well with the Zinfandel-based wine. For dessert we had the fresh Gravenstein apple pie a la mode, delicious way to round out the meal. All in all a wonderful meal.
