We have even taken relatives for special occastions. There is one problem that I think can be improved. The dinning room is very dark and we were not able to read the menu. They were all smiling and had pleasant words. Our waitress Judy was prompt, attentive, courteous, and cheerful; and she was also knowledgeable of the menu selections. Even the other staff smiled and said hello when I went to the Men's room. We had Steaks, baked potato, creamed spinach, and an appetizer (quesadillas de camaron). Our server was great and helped make our first visit even better. The buffet for the most part was abundant and delicious. Very nice ambiance in the restaurant and bar. We drove an hour and a half to get there and had a nice meal. Was disappointed with the crab legs completely (and I love crab legs--which was part of the reason we went) but the ribs,shrimp, calamari, and prime rib were great. While we had a wonderful family meal if I knew then what I know now I would not have made the drive. The service was great and the setting was intimate, however, the band was terrible. Instead of getting the sounds of a great jazz band in the background, they seemed to sway between Bond (techno-violin) and Metallica ("Nothing Else Matters") Really? Did I miss the "Jazz" part of "Life Jazz 7 nights per week?" Very disappointing. If you don't mind that kind of music, then you'll probably have fun. Early seatings are great for quiet dining; on weekends, the entertainments starts around 7:30 and the noise level picks up (though it's never unpleasant). Wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the wines, and they are friendly. The service is excellent. The food is very, very good. The ambiance is inviting and romantic. To top it all off, they have live jazz in the lounge AND complimentary valet parking. My husband and I went on a date on a Saturday night and had such an excellent time. We'd planned on going to the movies after dinner, but decided to stay and listen to the great jazz quartet that was playing in the lounge. They have crab, shrimp, prime rib, and the night I went leg of lamb. I had to pace myself. The price is great too at 39.95. I would also like to recommend server Jaclyn (you should ask for her) as she did a fantastic five star job.
