We have been going to Pescatore occasionally for years. It's a good dinner spot for a special occasion. The food is always good, and there are usually some excellent daily specials, depending on what seafood is in season. From the regular dinner menu, some of our favorites are the Baccala Livornese and Gnocchi Ripieni, though there are lots of choices. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and is happy to accommodate special requests. Be sure to let them know if you are celebrating something special. A lot of their weekend business is for banquets and special occasions, so it's a quiet atmosphere in the restaurant. It's apparently where singer Andrea Bocelli dines when he's performing at the Rosemont Theatre down the road!

While most people will remember this place as a banquet facility, you should consider it for lunch or weekday dining. The grilled seafood was some of the best i have ever had - fresh and made to order. The service was impeccable. This may just be my new go to place for fresh Italian seafood in the burbs and absolutely the place for a lunch seafood buffet. It's convenient location is on Des Plaines River Road just South of Irving Park.

I found the Lunch Buffet to be excellent. Fried Calamari, Caprese Salad, and other Italian specialties. Alll very well prepared. Great variety of food. More than I could handle for lunch but for someone with a hearty appetite...abondanza!

Food was ok, prices were reasonable. Be careful and make sure you are checked in. They don't have a computer up front and you can possibly be listed as a no show. Try and confirm that you were checked in. Service is very attentive. Food is a good and will give it another chance.

Try the Octopus Appetizer. Really incredible. The bread was also fantastic. Pizzas are not perfect but they're good... The service was excellent and the place is just very comfortable, clean and fit for a group of friends to go out and have a great meal.

We went to celebrate a birthday and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was very good. Desert was a bit overpriced but overall it was worth it. The servers were very friendly and the owner came to our table to make sure everything was fine. We felt very special

The room we were in was lovely and intimate. The food was excellent. My husband had the lobster ravioli and he loved it. I asked if there was a shrimp scampi available and the waiter said he would ask....the owner made it special for me and it was terrific. We will absolutely go back.

  • Bad Location

Although the food was good, the location was very unexpected - in the midst of what appeared to be a more industrial area, which didn't feel like the safest of neighborhoods. It was our first time there and I didn't realize, based on the reviews I read, that it was so far off the main stream and in such an odd location. The reviews seemed pretty good, so we thought we would try it, but I'm not sure I would venture out that way again...

We were in town for a convention and went right after the meetings were over. We were one of only 3 tables full that evening. The service was fine, but not overly attentive for being such a small crowd. The food was good which surprised us a bit based on the atmosphere. I would probably put this on my lunch list.

We attended for private dining. When we arrived at 5:45, there was a guide in the parking lot directing us to the rear parking lot. The front lot was full. I have trouble walking, and have always parked in the handicapped spaces in the front. On this date I had to walk the length of the building to reach the dining area. There was one party in the West dining room, and two couples in the East dining room. Those people did not fill the front lot, it must have been filled by those attending group functions. The attendant in the parking lot should have been directing "Event" parking to the West Lot, and Restaurant parking to the front lot. That would be more convenient for all involved.

My friends and I made a reservation for 130p which was close to the end of the lunch hour so we decided against the lunch buffet as it looked picked over and they were probably not going to replenish. We ordered off the menu and the grilled octopus was delicious. One person ordered the eggplant parmagiana and commented that not many restaurants make it well but this one was very good. The tilapia was melt in your mouth and the penne arriabata was perfect. We were the last to leave but never felt rushed. Only problem was they dont have extensive wine list.
