So either our request was not read or they did not care enough to honor it. In any event, that eliminated any chance of "outstanding experience."
Despite that hiccup, the service was very pleasant, enthusiastic, and competent.
The food was spotty. Meatballs were bland (unanimous opinion of all 4 at our table) and not exciting. The chicken (ordered by 2/4 at the table) was not very tender (per their report). On the other hand, the pasta in both my entree ( papardelle) and side (spaghetti) was very fresh and perfectly al dente. The tiramisu was excellent.

Asked my wife to find a place using OpenTable and sure glad she found this one. To begin they brought us bread with a dish of pesto in olive oil and shaved parmesan cheese. It was great. We each had the house salad; a nice mix of bitter greens, olives, onions, etc. I had the Spaghetti Pescatore, a LARGE spaghetti dish with a white wine sauce and crab, mussels, clams and shrimp. Wife had the ravioli special of the day. Both had desert. She had tiramisu and i had a ricotta cheesecake. Decaf cappuccino to end it out. I had the best scallops I think I've ever had. Our waitress was very attentive. She had a long list of specials down to a "t." Everyone was quite friendly; the owner's mother came over to check that we were enjoying our meal and gave us some background on the restaurant. Although the room was quite busy, the noise level was still low enough for the 4 of us to converse easily. In addition to the regular menu, there was a special Valentine menu that was reasonably priced for an appetizer, entree, and dessert.
This restaurant keeps to its reservation times. The food is well-prepared with appropriate service. The regular menu prices are reasonable & fair, however, be aware that the "specials" are MUCH higher than you'd expect judging from the menu p[rices, about $10 - $20 HIGHER.. They do not mention the prices of the specials so either ask or be surprised... we were... now we know, we have been back since(this time) & knew the deal so it was much more reasonable price wise.. large portions as well, so that's good!
