  • "I made reservations here for my birthday dinner for a party of five, and it was great. The food was delicious. My husband had the pork chops which was more then he can handle. He had to ask the waiter to put it to go. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to enjoy a nice quiet dinner. The lights are really dimmed down. Which kind of makes you focus just on your table. The only negative part of the night I would have to say was the waiter literally pushing their side specials down your throat. I kindly declined, and he came back and offered it again so I accepted. Turned out that side was almost as much as my steak ( maybe that's why he was so hesitate )."

  • "As we expected from previous visits, Perry's always delivers. The food and service are excellent. Hard to not order the pork chop, but there are many other fine choices. Wine list is comprehensive and had all our favorites at a reasonable price. This time, we had a party of 6 and asked for a quiet table, but had to ask for the music to be turned down (twice) so we could talk. Recommend a private room if you really want to talk."

  • "Two diners only on a busy night Waiter got our steak orders muddled (we took them as they came as we did not want to waste food) One of the steaks was over-cooked despite getting the temperature order right. Food runner could not tell the two steaks apart (perhaps because of the mix up) We were just about neglected at the table To apologize for the mistake, waiter gave us a complimentary dessert sampler (we had actually said we were not going to order dessert due to sugar issues). We explained the steak mix-up, but did not complain. With the other fine steak houses in The Woodlands, it is unlikely we'd select Perry's again."

  • "The steaks, pork chops and sides were very good, however, the service was not top tier. Service was below average even if compared to a national second or third tier chain. The timeliness was off. Staff took a long time to take our drink order and the place was not that full. Our waitress seemed to disappear a lot. We stood up five minutes (we had a billing question - I needed original receipt) to see if she would come back but we did not see her again. It wasn't worth our time escalating the issue since service was acceptable but below average for a top chain restaurant."

  • "We have been to Perry's many times before this. We typically like to go for special occasions. We typically do not go out on Friday's due to the crowds. When we showed up the bar area was packed and loud. Thank goodness we made reservations and Perry's staff had made arrangements to put us in the back rooms. Perry's had decorated the table for the special occassion (Birthday). The food and service was outstanding. The service was outstanding by our waitress and her team. The only issue and yet it was a very very small issue is the timing during the food courses. This could of been due to Friday night. We did not have no where to go so, we relaxed and enjoyed out 2-hours. We would go back to Perry's - Absolutely..."

  • "The décor was beautiful and candlelit; the service was outstanding-the waiter was attentive without being overbearing & our requests were filled immediately. However I do feel it was somewhat overpriced. The au gratin potatoes were mostly cheese; we found maybe 5 chunks of potato-not what we expected for this restaurant or for this price. Judging by how full the tables and bar were on a Tuesday night, this is a very popular restaurant. I would return but just order different items the next time."

  • "We did not appreciate having to walk through several tables of smokers located at the entrance to the restaurant. Food was OK with the fried asparagus being very good. The service was also good. However the dining experience was not sufficiently great to overcome the experience of walking and spending time in the smoking area. I will not return; there are other choices in the area."

  • "I have been here before & loved it. I could not wait to bring my son to try the pork chop. Our waiter, matthew, seemed bored, tired and irritable and even after I prompted him to "explain" the cuts of the pork chop he didn't. The service ruined the meal. I guess we are back to driving I to Houston for special dining."

  • "Went for a birthday dinner and had a great time. We stopped at the bar where I had a Classic Sidecar and my wife ordered a Juniper Grapefruit. They were both well made. For Dinner, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops... They were cooked perfectly, scallops were light and sweet, while the bacon added a bit of crunch and saltiness to the meal. We ordered Perry's label wine and the Chateaubriand trio for two, which was a center cut filet with 3 sauces, a peppercorn, a bearnaise, and a merlot/truffle reduction... All were good, but the Merlot sauce was so good, I later went home and figured out how to make it."

  • "We visit Perry's as much as possible. In our opinion, this is one of the top 5 restaurants in The Woodlands. The menu is fantastic and their signature pork-chop is the best on the planet, guaranteed. Other than the pork-chop, what sets this restaurant apart is their service. When you make reservations, ask for Maggie, Andy, or Jose. Any one of these three will take extra-special care of you. They are not only great servers but great people that pay attention to the smallest of details. We would choose Perry’s over any other restaurant in the area because when we dine there, it’s like we are dining with our close friends. Bon Appétit."

  • "We weren't very pleased with other locations. So we arrive and there's nothing extremely impressive. Cheap valet and part of a shopping center. When we get to our table, it seems very low end. Cheap flat wear (like we were at Denny's). Our server took a while to get to the table and was slow all night. Chopped salad was horrible, with shredded cheese like we were at Applebee's and overall, not very good. The bacon saved it, making it edible. The bread was fairly good. Crab legs are too salty. But our surf and turf and mushrooms were to die for!! The steak was like butter and the lobster was perfectly prepared. The mushrooms looked questionable but were delicious!! And the bananas foster was the perfect ending. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I was not happy with my waiters service. We waited a long time for everything. After someone else served our diner he didn't return to check on us. I am guessing we didn't spend enough money for him to be concered about us. Diner for 4 was almost 300 with tip..would definitely not return or recommend this place"

  • "Myself and wife visited this location of Perry's dozens of times in past and decided to go there on 3/13 for dinner for our 15th Anniversary. We were seated quickly, table was done up nice with rose pedals. We ordered the famous pork chop, just as we have in the past, however, tonight it was not that great. We found several pieces of fat and grizzel that were just plain unedible. Also the "seared" crust was quite tough and unedible. We were both surpise as they have been on mark so many times before. Then comes desert. We chose the chocolate lava cake. When delivered, it did not look quite right. The cake was dry and ice cream that came with, was hard as rock. I was sure it was going to shoot across the restaurant as we tried to eat it."

  • "This was my 3rd time going to Perry's and both mine and my husbands filet was tough and dry. I asked for medium and it was barely pink. We had to ask for our waitress twice, she wasn't very receptive to our needs."

  • "Celebrated birthday with 3 couples. Food was great as usual. Service a little slow in beginning. Took over 30 minutes to get appetizers and salads to table. Restaurant was very busy as usual. Our table was in a high traffic area so a lot of people walking all around us making it difficult to talk to each other. Overall a great place to go to. Give specific instructions when making your reservation as to where you want to be seated."

The decor and service and table setting is top notch. What's not to love about Perry's?"

  • "Two people at my table ordered Filet Perry's. One was over cooked by two temperatures and neither had crab meat on them. The waiter apologized and brought the crabmeat on a separate plate. The steak that was overcooked was remade properly. In addition,I ordered another one to go. When I got home, it too did not have crab meat. The bottle of wine we ordered was out of inventory. The wine suggested to replace if was subpar."
