We have been Perry fans for years, starting with the original location in Friendswood. the highlights for us are always the warm spinach salad, any beef entrée and the lamb. Our latest visit was to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. Without a doubt, the finest dining experience we could have chosen. Anyone who enjoys great food in a subdued environment will be totally enthralled with Perry's."

  • "We went to Perry's for my husband's birthday. The entire experience was amazing! Fabulous food, fabulous service, great wine.....I just can't say enough nice things about our dinner there. We will definitely be going back! The pork chop was out of control....I brought home over half of it. It was fabulous. They also treated my husband to a yummy treat for his birthday. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to be completely spoiled for an evening."

  • "My husband and I met in San Antonio and returned there to get married on the Riverwalk. We normally return to San Antonio on our anniversary whenever possible and usually eat somewhere on the Riverwalk…this year we decided to try Perry's…and are we ever glad we did. We started out at the bar for Happy Hour, where our bartender "Walker" was very friendly and helped me pick a great blueberry/cucumber martini. Dinner was absolutely wonderful….the 4 courses for $44 was a great deal. We will definitely be visiting the Perry's here in Austin."

  • "and almost outstanding service EXCEPT our waiter was either in a hurry, wasn't listening well or didn't understand us. We ordered a bottle of Marlborough Savignon Blanc and a glass of Banfi Pino Grigio, and when Frank returned to the table, he had a bottle of red wine and a carafe of red wine (for the glass of wine ordered). As you would expect, the mistake was corrected. We did feel as though Frank was always in a hurry...perhaps he's just overly energetic =)"

  • "We have been to Perry's several times, and we always ask for Daniel. We had excellent service. This was the second time we have been there and had fruit flies in my chop salad. We had friends with us who had not been there before and I wanted them to have a good experience, so I didn't complain about it, but it is unpleasant. I have never been to any other restaurant and had fruit flies in my salad. What is their problem?"

The ambiance was also quiet and relaxed, allowing us to truly enjoy ourselves.   • "Went for lunch for the normally great pork chop, with a few folks including a few who had never experienced Perry's. Had decent but slightly distracted service to begin with ,which got better and attentive. Everyone's food was great including a vegan pasta dish for my wife. My pork chop on the other hand was less than stellar to put it mildlly. I did have to point this out to the waiter (would have been nicer if the waiter had noticed an uneaten hacked pork chop and wondered about it) who brought the manager, who was very nice, apologetic, gave me a card for a free chop on the next visit, and left us feeling well taken care of. Very professional! I will return."

  • "We had visited Perry's a while back for their well known steaks and pork chops. We went this week responding to an ad for their seafood kebab. It was excellent, lighter, and more summer appropriate. Each piece of seafood: shrimp, scallops, sea bass, tuna and salmon was cooked perfectly, marinated in a flavorful sauce. A ginger flavored dipping sauce added to the meal. Large grilled asparagus added to the tasty and healthy meal. It was so different! As usual, service and ambiance were great."

I'd been here for business meetings and my husband heard all my great comments about "the pork chop"; great food; excellent service and location that I decided to surprise him with a lunch on Father's Day. Very consistent service. Servers are always very helpful with menu items and questions. If you ask for suggestions they give them! If not, they leave you alone...which I like. Overall a very nice upscale restaurant with down to earth staff and ambiance. just the right balance."

  • "The food and service was great. However, there were small gnats flying around the entire time we were eating. This took away from our enjoyment, worried about the gnat landing in our food. Also, it seemed the manager avoided us after seeing us swatting at the gnats. He checked with every table around us, didn't once ask us how our meal was, or how we were enjoying our evening. So a little disappointed with this particular visit."

  • "We spent Father's Day at Perry's. We were warmly greeted and were escorted to the bar area since we were a little early for our reservation. We were a party of ten. Chadwick, our waiter, went over and beyond to make sure we where happy with our beverages and food selection. Presentation for the lobster bisque was beautiful as well as the fish special. I'm so happy we chose Perry's to celebrate this special occasion. We will definitely be back. Please tell Chadwick many thanks for his outstanding service."

  • "While the waiter was friendly and wine-savy, this service experience lacked the attention to detail we have been accustomed to in the past. Other than offering us (my daughter and I) wine suggestions, he did not ask for drink preferences from my wife and grand daughter; wife stayed with the water already at the table, and my daughter later ordered a Shirley Temple for our grand daughter. We had to ask for bread. I had the pork chop, which was served by another wait person who carved it at a nearby empty table behind my back without the customary explanation about the 3 different cuts - the small serving of apple sauce was missing. The sides were not served with the entrees for which we had to ask after waiting an unacceptable long time."

  • "This was our first time to visit Perry's. We had been told how "great and delicious" it was, but were highly disappointed. Our steaks were not good at all,very very dry. When paying this much for a steak we were not happy with that. The service was very slow, and we had to ask several times for our water to be refilled. We will probably NOT try this again."

  • "Served up big portions, but new york strip with bone in and the pork chops were missing flavor. Creamed Corn was a bit on the southwest flavored side. Mashed potatoes purée was good, but I came out spending $200.00 & I can only compliment the mashed potatoes is disappointing. Will not return here for steak. Been to better steakhouses and gladly spent $100-$200 for a great meal."
