  • "The experience was great. The waiter, Carlos, was excellent."

  • "We went to Perry's for my birthday. Started with polish sausage and escargot appetizers, which were superb. Brought out warm sourdough bread which was excellent. One of us had the symphony kabob which was excellent and very creative. Another ordered the pork chop- I know they are famous for it but it was full of fat (personal preference, don't like fatty pork). Other two had filet, ordered medium well. I know it is sacrilegious to order this way, but it was personal preference and we have had plenty of filets medium well that were cooked to perfection. This was not the case here. Hockey pucks came out. Food took a while to come out so we did not send back, but I was very disappointed. Dessert was nice and drinks were good."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant!I brag about how great the steaks are. Perrys food makes Gibsons and Ruth Chris taste like dog food! I went to perrys last Monday to eat and ordered my usual cowboy ribeye, MEDIUM well! When the steak came out it was cooked more then well!We showed the server who agreed it was over cooked. Then after waiting for another steak it comes out nearly the same way well done absolutely no pink at all.But worse then the steak was the manager who insulted our intelligence by saying it was cooked to medium it just looked dark because we were outside. She said I could take my steak inside to look at it under the light. Excuse me!I got out my light on my phone! The steak was well done!! Shame on you I wish I got her name!"

  • "So glad they advertised a $44 special in the paper! Food was fantastic. So glad they decided to open in Oak Brook, no need to travel down town to experience a great meal. The server Tim was delightful. You will not believe the size of the pork chop, delicious !"

  • "Very good food -- the pork chop is outstanding, and portions are generous (with prices to match). A very nice meal with good service, although the restaurant is very loud. We had a party of 5 around a round table, and the noise level made it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with with people seated on the across the table."

  • "The young hostess was plastic with a stiff smile. And the waitress was in our face too much raving about each dish we asked about. Come on, seasoned dinners are leery of waitress recommendations .. The pork was an interesting and fun dish to order .will be back to try the other meats"

  • "This was our first time at Perrys. We chose this for our anniversary because we did not want the hassle of driving into Chicago. The food was very good high end steakhouse fare. Great service. Every member of the wait staff really hustled all evening. This is the kind of experience when you are paying $45 for a steak. They delivered."

  • "Not a fan of the garlic butter overtaking the natural flavor of the steak and the creamed spinach (my usual favorite) was loaded with way too much nutmeg, very overwhelming. Service the first half of dinner was fantastic, but lacked on the second half when it was pretty crowded."

  • "Better than expected as i heard the service was slow. Waiter could have been a little more attentive, but the food was very good."

  • "First time to Perry's, lived up to our expectations. Had the Prix Fix Chop dinner. Too much food!! In a good way...we ate separate appetizers, but could have split the remaining 3 courses. Did I say too much?!?! Overall, an enjoyable dinner, loud, constant waiter service...waited a bit between courses or it came before we finished the previous course."

  • "Had the promotional "Four for 44", which was an appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert for $44. There was a choice of four of each course, and each item was identical to a regular menu item. I had an excellent crab cake appetizer. The wedge salad was enormous, the dressing (no options) very good, and the bacon chunks the best I've ever had. I had the signature pork chop, which is actually three different cuts of pork chop. They describe the largest of the three pieces as "seven fingers". It's enormous, and all three different cuts were fabulous. The crème brulee was without a doubt the best I've ever had."

  • "Tried prixe fixe special and it was delicious. The crab cake was luscious. The pork chop, tender and tasty and the same huge quantity on reg menu...for me enough leftovers for at least four days. I love the atmosphere and the fact you can be at a large table and be able to communicate with everyone. So happy Perry's came to Oak Brook."

  • "all the food was fantastic but the pork chop, carved table side was outstanding and big enough for 2-4 people. leftovers served 2 meals."

  • "We really liked Perry's, it is a perfect trendy fit in Oakbrook's dining scene. Very cute decor and bar. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, you have to try their signature pork chop, and their steaks of course were excellent as well as an extensive wine list. It was our first visit, we were impressed and will definitely be going back."

  • "We have never been disappointed but sorry to hear Blake has gone on to another restaurant. We had Chad this time and had a great dinner once again!"

  • "Overall a good experience. Excellent service and best wine list outside Chicago. Red wine served at perfect temperature which is unusual unless you are in the City. Ambience also good, a bit loud but not bothersome. Only complaint was quality of food. Steaks and chops cooked to perfection, but flavor not in line with their prices. They need to either increase the quality of their meat or lower their prices. No matter how good their chefs are, they cannot make up for sub-standard meat."

  • "We were a party of five. Three of us ordered the filet mignon on their anniversary special meal, each of us had different salads. All were wonderful. Two of us ordered the pork chop on the anniversary special meal. It was huge and could have been three meals if divided up. Plenty left for a doggy bag. The pork chop looked and smelled wonderful. I was told it was very good. We had desserts that came with the special. I had the crème brulee and it was fantastic. My friends ordered the assorted mini desserts and loved them. Some very interesting drinks on the menu that we enjoyed and also a nice and varied wine list. The wait staff couldn't have been more gracious and attentive. Perry's is definitely a favorite."

  • "Every effort was made by the restaurant to make sure we had a very enjoyable evening for our 48th wedding anniversary. We liked the place the minute we walked in."

  • "It is hard to stand out among the steak houses because there are so many good ones and expectations are so high. The service was excellent and food has great options without being gimmicky."

  • "Steak and pork chop outstanding. Our server, Cheri was great! However, bus staff needs training. If you are going to compete with fine dining establishments, your service needs to step up. That means, making sure water glasses are never empty, clearing finished plates before bringing next course, (especially if you are at one of those tiny tables for two). I would have thought that since this place has been open for 7 months, they would have worked this stuff out already. Had a cocktail in the bar first. Bartender was average at best, not very friendly or solicitous. The bar wasn't very busy, but she was slow in greeting us and not very attentive after that. Way too many kids in the bar area, what's up with that??"

  • "This was my second time here and it does not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious, the service impeccable. I don't think my water glass was ever less than 1/2" from the top. I couldn't decide between wines and was offered a generous tasting of each in order to choose. The meats were cooked to perfection. And our flaming dessert, the nutty d'angelo, doesn't look all that good, but it is to die for. Just waiting for the next reason to go there. However, I do wish they would enforce the dress code. We were dressed in our "Sunday clothes." The atmosphere is rich and elegant and in walk folks in shorts and flip flops. That's not business casual and ruins the moment."

  • "Great overall experience. Lively environment, attentive service, pork chip as big and delicious as it's reputation, good wine list, knowledgeable of good allergies and graciously accommodated gluten free needs for a celiac diner."

  • "Service level was top notch. Staff all very attentive. Special occasion recognized without reminder on occasion. Restaurant can get a little warm, server noted that they were experiencing problems with air system."

  • "We were a foursome enjoying a Saturday dinner. The service was top notch. The room we were seated in was a little noisy and warmish, but the food was outstanding, and our waiter Ricardo was terrific. We all enjoyed the evening very much."

  • "Went to Perry's the other night thought it was great. The cowboy cut steak was done to perfection and so tasty. The seafood skewer was lovely with Beef Medallions done to perfection 3 shrimp and a small but nice size lobster. All done in a great presentation hanging on a skewer. Personally didn't care for the peppercorn sauce which I had on the side since am not a fan of peppercorn."

  • "Went to Perry's in Oakbrook IL the first time for our 38th Anniversary. Needless to say we were NOT disappointed. The atmosphere was perfect. Decorated really nice, perfect lighting, and the live Bar music was piped throughout the restaurant. The Service was excellent. Even though we had a bottle of wine, my Wife loves her water and her pet peeve is an empty water glass - her water glass didn't get half empty before someone was over to fill it up. The GM was really nice. Our Waiter was Exellent! The food, OMG was it good! From the appetizer, thru the salad & main course, and to the desserts, you will NOT be disappointed. You have to try THE Pork Chop - better than any other place. The desserts were decadent."

  • "Four for 44 is a very good bargain. Friendly service was very slow at time waited for entrée and coffee refills too long. Appetizer was tasteless."
    Dined on 7/30/2014
  • "We had a business dinner here. The food was very good, the service could have been more attentive as we had to look for then flag down the waiter for refills, next course, etc. We were able to carry on a good discussion across the table despite background noise."

  • "July/Aug $44 fixed price menu after 4pm is a great bargin but not well advertised. So ask! Pork chop is really more of a pork roast, which is very good. We ate in bar, service a little slow there. Think server was running between dining room and bar. This is a good Chicago style steak house with the pork chop being the signature dish. Portions are huge and do not need to be so large particularly on the fixed price menu."

  • "Everything was great, except that it was very, very warm inside. Server blamed it on the outside weather/humidity. Problem was that it was cool with low humidity at the time. There was definitely an air conditioner problem."

  • "Celebrated hubby's birthday. He couldn't decide between Cowboy Ribeye and the signature Pork Chop. I usually order fish when we dine out, and probably would have, but I wanted him to enjoy both, so, I ordered the Fred Flintstone size chop. Carved tableside into three configurations: the rib bones, the chop and the cap (or whatever they called it), is a nice touch. Spectacular flavor-very moist. The delicious homemade applesauce was pretty skimpy (maybe an ounce?). I'm sure they'd have brought more, but next to the chop, it seemed almost ridiculous to bother with such mis-scaled portion. Also had Escargot-fabulous, and the lobster mac & cheese (warning-you won't be able to stop yourself). Desserts miss the mark-too full anyway!"

  • "This was our first visit to Perry's Steakhouse and Grille. While it is on the expensive side we have to admit it's worth every dollar spent. The food was brilliantly prepared. The wine list will make you dizzy in options. But the best part we have to say was the service 2nd to none they paid attention to every detail."

  • "We went to Perry's Steakhouse on Friday night. My husband was very disappointed. He ordered a Fillet medium. When he received the steak it was rare. He told the runner & they took it back. When it came back again, it was well done. This is a steak house. They should know how to do a steak! When you pay $40-50 dollars for a steak in a steak house, you expect them to do it right. We asked to see the manager & no one came. The waiter did not check on us. We have been there several times before & have been very please. This was not at all enjoyable. We expect to eat dinner together & we did not. We work hard & don't mind paying for good food & service, but this was neither."

  • "I took my 18 year old nephew for the Friday lunch special which is an awesome deal! We had a great time. We were both absolutely stuffed with the terrific pork chop and trimmings. And we were able to try for the first time "Louisiana style snapping turtle soup". It was excellent, as well."
