  • "If you want an amazing and filling dinner, order the pork chop. Normally, when I'm in a steakhouse, I order filet or ribeye and have no worries of being disappointed. When the pork chop arrived, I looked at it wide-eyed and told my dinner guest we needed to ask more people to eat with us at our table. And - it tasted better than it looked!!!!!"

As great an experience as the restaurant was it was really negatively impacted by how loud everyone is speaking in the restaurant. For a $150 per person experience, you should be able to hear your dinner companion and not the 6 people yelling at each other at the table next to you."

  • "Perry's has taken the steakhouse to a new and better level than any steakhouse in the Chicagoland area. They have all the elements of a great steak selection, amazing seafood, fantastic wine list, excellent choice of spirits, and maybe the best and most attentive wait and bus staff I have ever experienced. Look out Chicago stalwarts Morton's and Gibson's...you too Wildfire!! Perry's does what they do better, and less expensive. I don't know if it is the Texas roots, but the service is completely done with a sense of southern charm, not the aloof haughtiness of the other mentioned places. Best meal on the menu? The seven finger pork chop carved table-side with sherry-broiled mushrooms as a side. UNBELIEVABLE!!"

  • "I had yet another great time at Perry's tonight with my family!! There was a bit of problem with our meal and they took care of it right away! Our server (Blake) was excellent. He was very energetic, knowledgeable of the menu and cute (which is a plus ladies). This time I ordered the Sunday pork chop dinner and I was SO pleased. My boyfriend ordered a pork chop to go so he can enjoy it for lunch a couple a days this week. My daughter ordered the surf and turf (exchanged the asparagus for the potatoes puree) she was quite pleased. I will be giving a Perry's dining experience to my parents for their anniversary; I'm sure they will enjoy their meal as much as I."

After a wonderfully flavorful meal, I was pleasantly surprised to find that ( even factoring in alcohol) our final tally was under $90.00 per person. VERY good food along with outstanding service and under $100.00 - I would heartily recommend Perry's to all interested in a special night out."

I was a little nervous after reading a review which complained about too much pepper in the food, but we wanted to check it out for ourselves. The food was very good - steaks delicious! Next time we are getting the porkchop - it looked amazing! Desserts were run-of-the-mill. Ambiance was upscale, but not stuffy. Our waiter, Guy, was informative, attentive and just the right amount of friendly. Would recommend Perry's for special occasions. It was quite pricey for a family dinner."

  • "Having eaten at many steakhouses in Chicago it's easy to do comparisons. I'd certainly rank Perry's up there in the rankings, but frankly, our table felt the steaks were over-seasoned, and, for the prices which are fairly steep, the scallop appetizer arrived over-cooked. The steaks were, overall at our table anyway, done more than was described to us. Granted as that became known the manager comped one of the meals and that was quite reasonable. Our sever was excellent (Guy), entertaining, attentive, but not hovering. The BEST thing in the whole evening was the buttermilk dressing for the wedge salads-very flavorful and the lettuce was perfectly crisp."

I would like to go back and sit at the bar which is really attractive and has a live piano player...very appealing old world notion. They have a nice wine list with a decent number of wines by the glass and a good selection of wines at reasonable choices. We will definitely return."

  • "We went back twice in one week because it was so great! The escargot was amazing and my husband is obsessed with the pork chop! I could live on the ahi. We love how the pork chop is brought out and prepared table side, flaming hot. The leftovers were enough for a second dinner the next night! Our sever Patrick was wonderful. He knew everything about the menu and didn't miss a beat when we needed something. We'll go back soon!"

  • "A great eating experience. Perry's is noted for their pork chop entrée. It was wonderful. Tasty and moist. The serving is enormous and I'll have several meals from the left overs. But well worth it. My dining companion had a filet and he said it was excellent. While the entrees met our expectations, the sides didn't. The creamed spinach was salty which took away from the overall flavor. The lyonnaise (sic) potatoes were a little over done and some were too hard to chew. Since it was my friend's birthday they brought a dessert sample which was wonderful. My only problem is that since they just served it, I assumed it was complimentary. It wasn't, I was charged. Prices are normal for a high end restaurant."

Highlight and a must try is their Signature Pork Chop. Their steaks were good but not great. I'd come back for the pork chops! A solid 4 due to the drinks and the Signature Pork Chop."
