  • "Everything was great, except that it was very, very warm inside. Server blamed it on the outside weather/humidity. Problem was that it was cool with low humidity at the time. There was definitely an air conditioner problem."

  • "Celebrated hubby's birthday. He couldn't decide between Cowboy Ribeye and the signature Pork Chop. I usually order fish when we dine out, and probably would have, but I wanted him to enjoy both, so, I ordered the Fred Flintstone size chop. Carved tableside into three configurations: the rib bones, the chop and the cap (or whatever they called it), is a nice touch. Spectacular flavor-very moist. The delicious homemade applesauce was pretty skimpy (maybe an ounce?). I'm sure they'd have brought more, but next to the chop, it seemed almost ridiculous to bother with such mis-scaled portion. Also had Escargot-fabulous, and the lobster mac & cheese (warning-you won't be able to stop yourself). Desserts miss the mark-too full anyway!"

  • "This was our first visit to Perry's Steakhouse and Grille. While it is on the expensive side we have to admit it's worth every dollar spent. The food was brilliantly prepared. The wine list will make you dizzy in options. But the best part we have to say was the service 2nd to none they paid attention to every detail."

  • "We went to Perry's Steakhouse on Friday night. My husband was very disappointed. He ordered a Fillet medium. When he received the steak it was rare. He told the runner & they took it back. When it came back again, it was well done. This is a steak house. They should know how to do a steak! When you pay $40-50 dollars for a steak in a steak house, you expect them to do it right. We asked to see the manager & no one came. The waiter did not check on us. We have been there several times before & have been very please. This was not at all enjoyable. We expect to eat dinner together & we did not. We work hard & don't mind paying for good food & service, but this was neither."

  • "I took my 18 year old nephew for the Friday lunch special which is an awesome deal! We had a great time. We were both absolutely stuffed with the terrific pork chop and trimmings. And we were able to try for the first time "Louisiana style snapping turtle soup". It was excellent, as well."

  • "We will be back. We think it is one of the best restaurants in the western suburbs -- wish there was one in the Schaumburg area. No waiting to be seated with our reservation. Decor is classy. Appetizer, salad, pork chop entree and dessert -- all four courses were fantastically good. Service was excellent. The only minor issue is the elevated noise level of diners' conversations - the rating calls it "Energetic," I call it somewhat noisy."

  • "Our first visit to Perry's for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday while out shopping in OBC. Very beautiful open space with private dining. Had a nice outdoor patio section. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. My husband ordered the Prix Fare Menu for $44; Crab Cake app that was very good, wedge salad with very nice dressing; a bit different than your typcial Wedge salad at Steakhouses. He had a fliet for dessert. I had the Smphony which was a beautiful dispaly of hanging Surf and Turf. Two mediallions, nice size lobster tail and three large gulf shrimp; all very suculent. Good handcrafted cocktails and superior wine list even by glass. Very good experience and will be back for Pork Chops which is their sig dish."

  • "Arrive early. Parking can be a pain. Valet $4. Service is always phenomenal. Dress to impress, though they don't have a dress code, if you show up in a t-shirt and jeans you will feel sorely underdressed. All the dishes we have tried here have been exquisite. The mouthwatering drink specials will keep your whistle wet. Love the martini flight. They have some unique takes on a few classic dishes. Some may even say they have a kick. Try them and decide for yourself. They could add a little more to their dessert menu. FYI, They do have some tasty dishes on their bar menu that is not on their regular menu."

  • "It was our wedding anniversary. Overall, it was very nice. Service was excellent. Appetizers and soups were great. Complimentary deserts were nice. Portions can be sometimes overwhelming, so this is great. Steaks are dry aged and I ordered mine medium-rare. The steak from inside was cooked to perfection, but on the outside, it was a bit over-burned, which ruined some of the taste."

Our server was fun and charismatic, and the service overall felt suitably formal to fit Perry's dimly lit, dark-wood, candlelit Chicago steakhouse atmosphere. The calamari and tuna tartar were fantastic, as were the filet minon and giant pork chop entree. The manager came by to confirm our son's food allergy, and seemed very confident and reassuring. However, our waiter, although otherwise great, didn't follow up on a few food allergy questions we had asked him, or seemed a little confused about who at our table had the allergy and what the allergy was. There are so few tree nuts on the menu that I felt comfortable anyhow, but the staff could use a bit more allergy training."

Our mashed potatoes on the other hand were just barely warm and seemed old or not very fresh. They seemed very dense and not light and fluffy. Everything else was very good and we would certainly go back and bring friends and relatives."

  • "As is the case with many steak restaurants the food & service is good. However with the high prices they could at least include a salad or cup of soup. I had a cowboy steak, my wife had the filet with 3 sauces and my in-laws had a pork chop and a shish ka-bob. The baked onion soup is very good. The appetizers of potatoe's and one with corn were good, but again really over priced. It was my wife's birthday and we of course let her pick the restaurant. $295.00 for 4 people was a bit too much. Only will return for another special occasion. There are too many other quality steak restaurants at lower prices."

  • "We've enjoyed dinners at a number of fine restaurants and found Perry's to be one of the best; it's in our top 3. The food was outstanding and complimented by exceptional service. We started with drinks at the bar and the bartenders, Veronica and Mitch, were the greatest. They were attentive yet not pushy; a great start to our evening. We can't say enough good things about the meal. The menu offers a nice selection of products and great sides. The deserts are scrumptious. Bottom line - we'll be back. Highly recommend Perry's."
