  • "I loved the food, and the portions were big compared to other restaurants similar to it! I would definitely go here again just not for a romantic date. It is quite a beautiful place; however, it can get very loud and crowded. My date and I had trouble hearing each other, but the food surely made up for it and the waitress was very attentive."

  • "Nothing prepared me for the superior food. I usually don't order crab cakes because what you usually get is frankly a fried crab burger. This was the most delectable crab cake ever! The marriage of flavors were heavenly. We also tried the fried asparagus which was great. The salads had a surprisingly welcomed kick (Caesar and pear/citrus). The entrees-filet medium well was so tender I'm not sure a knife was needed! I had been wanting to try the pork chop. I had no idea it was humongous. It was so delicious. I didn't want to eat it so that I could have it forever! We will definitely be back! Desserts (trio and nutty d'angelo) was awesome. Truffle was bitter for our taste. Pineapple monitoring and sidecar were excellent."

  • "Went with two friends for a birthday celebration. Had a martini in the bar, chatted and listened to lovely piano music. Music was not too loud. Then had dinner in one of the dining rooms. I had the famous pork chops and sure enough took three forths of my entree home. My food was delicious and my friends enjoyed the salmon and the filet. Dessert was outstanding and would certainly recommend Perry's to friends and family."

  • "Saturday evening was absolutely perfect. Perry's is known for it's pork chop and it did not disappoint. Service was impeccable. The surprise of the evening was the live piano man in the bar. His playing was piped through the restaurant which made for a very enjoyable experience. We will be going back very soon"

  • "We loved all our food: appetizers (smoked salmon, turtle soup) entrees (famous pork chop, prime bone-in NY strip) and dessert (shared candy bar). Only thing a bit off-putting was our waiter's first impression. Right after sitting down, before I had chance to open wine menu, he asked if he could get us drinks. I said we'd order bottle of wine but needed time to review menu. He proceeded to tell us about a $115 cab he loved. I cut him off, saying it's over our budget, need time to look at menu. Then he returned and pushed another pricey cab. I understand he was trying to be helpful, but somehow his demeanor seemed pushy and we felt rushed to decide and place an order. We just wanted relaxing dinner. After wine was ordered then he was great."

  • "I've gone to several different Perry's, and the pork chop is usually nothing short of amazing. At the Memorial City location, my pork chop was dry and overcooked. Service was VERY slow. I don't know if it's typical of this location or it's just because I went under Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. I won't be going back here."

  • "Enjoyed Perry's for Restaurant Weeks / Wedding Anniversary. Perry's provided a nice menu for Restaurant Weeks. My wife and I had the 8 oz. filet, wedge salad and desert sampler. Added the infamous au-grautin potatoes to the meal. Our meals were excellent! Perry's decorated our table with rose petals which was a nice touch (I let them know we were celebrating our anniversary in our Open Table reservation). Our waiter Chad was superb with just the right amount of attentiveness. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and romatic evening."

  • "What is it that people in a business serving the public don't realize they need to at least smile? My husband and I walked into the reception area at Perry's at Memorial City and gave our name to the hostess. She said it would be a minute. She didn't say, "Thank you for coming. Someone will be seating you soon." It was at least five minutes before a sullen woman walked past us without a smile or nod and got the word from hostess woman to seat us. Fake smile as she walked us completely around the wine room and almost back to the entrance before seating us in front of the door to the wine room where cardboard cartons of wine were being delivered and unloaded. Shouldn't shipments happen outside of dining hours? We were not impressed."

Unfortunately we were served room temperature champagne. but after making the waiter aware, manager Michael McDonald came over and politely introduced himself and apologized for the champagne, removed it from our tab and offered two cold complimentary glasses. We didn't take him up on his offer but it was a pleasant surprise having a manger do his job correctly. Thank you."

  • "The food was very good and the atmosphere was as well no complaints there. My only complaint is that the hostess who greeted us when we arrived and asked for our reservations was not very friendly. I asked to be seated at a booth because the table at which we was seated had a lot of passing traffic for guest and waiting staff. I was told the 3 empty booths closest to us was reserved keep in mind I made reservations. 2 out of the 3 booths remained empty from the time we arrived at 5pm until the time we left at 7:40.When I question this I was then told that even though I made reservations it's not a guarantee that I will get the seating I request."

  • "The food was excellent. The noise level was very loud, however, we asked for the music to be a little quieter and the manager lowered the music volume. Only one member of our party had any problems with the dinner: waiter forgot to bring her a beverage, waiter forgot to bring any sauce for the steak, and forgot to bring the accompanying mashed potatoes. Everyone else received fine service. Each problem was resolved, but it left one member of our group feeling like, " am I being singled out?" Other than those minor glitches, it was a very delicious dinner and a happy birthday for me."

  • "In a nutshell -- the food was good, the service was subpar. My party of 4 arrived with plenty of time for our reservation. We were seated at a woefully undersized table that was obviously crammed into the corner. We sat at the table for a good 20 minutes before the waiter appeared to take our drinks orders. He was notably absent for most of the night. We were there for a good 2 hours and the water was only filled once. I'm not sure what exactly the point of the waiter is, as he didn't bring us any food or really do anything until the end when we asked for the check. Suddenly, he was very friendly and attentive, then."

  • "Did not have a good experience. Had a reservation, but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Was put at a lousy table. Waiter had too many tables or something--we were apparently just an afterthought. Ordered a drink and waited 15 minutes, .and typically had to ask for my wife's drink to be refilled. My steak was good, but the pork chop was overcooked. The sides (au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach) were extremely garlicky. The waiter only mentioned the dessert special that takes 30 minutes to prepare when removing our plates. We decided at this point to just leave and get dessert elsewhere. I have been to this and other Perry's before, and did not have this kind of negative experience."
