My friend and I ordered their excellent ribeye but the sauce was excessive. We hated to waste two wonderful cuts of meat but the saltiness was a problem. Our waiter, Emily, dispatched the steaks to the kitchen. A few minutes later Justin the Assistant GM came to the table, offered his apologies, gave us his card and assured us that steaks to our liking were coming out of the kitchen right away. We both like our beef black and blue, charred crust and VERY rare. The crowd was clearly a transient one. My family was dressed for a very nice dinner, the crowd was not. Lots of families, some with small children dressed for a day at Disney World. That was disappointing. Food was good, service was excellent. Our meal for four was over $250.00 which included desserts and alcohol. They are for fancy occasions. However, they don't disappoint. Their food is phenomenal. My family and I were making noises with each bite that should not be repeated in polite company. (Unless of course you're with Harry and Sally). I was a little surprised this time by the service--it was slower than I expected. However, the steaks are worth the wait. If you like pork, get their cut table side pork chop. It comes with a sweet cinnamony applesauce. If you like meat then I'd recommend the ribeye. If you like lobster get the petite surf and turf (or if you're not all that hungry). Remember to wait for the warmed butter they bring you. The carpaccio was perfect-very thinly sliced and adorned with some greens. I ordered the very uncommon bone-in filet for dinner, and my companion ordered the peppercorn strip. We both ordered medium-rare, but when the steaks arrived, mine was much closer to medium than it should have been. I mentioned it to our waitress, Kim, and she immediately agreed that my steak was not anywhere near medium-rare. They collected everything they had brought, prepared new steaks for both of us, and brought everything back. The second time, it was perfect, and delicious. We also ordered the molten chocolate cake for dessert, which was amazing. I had only been to Perry's before for work occasions, but it is definitely worth going for very special family occasions. I don't know how the acoustics work in the restaurant but the noise level was quiet, and we could actually hear each other speak. The food was divine, especially the lovely pork chops. You can't leave Perry's without having a little dessert! We finished off the night with the Mont Blanc a la Frisc, which is a must have. We arrived at 7:15pm and immediately found at table at the bar. As you would expect they have every drink known to man. We ordered our drinks and were promptly served. The rest of our party of 4 arrived and the waitress was there in a flash. About 8:10pm my phone received a text letting us know our table was ready. How great is that. No clunky box to hold on to. As expected our waiter Jordan had great recommendations and answered every question or table had. The food was great and the family style sides were awesome. Calamari was spicy so some at the table didn't enjoy it as much. For dinner most us got the pork chop and two of us got the petite filet. The petite filet was good, but the pork chop stole the show! Delicious. It is served table side and cut into three sections. Two pounds worth of yummy goodness! I would definitely return to Perry's. Don't miss the happy hour.
