The main dining room is large and can be quite noisey when full of guests. People taking annoying flash photo's every few minutes... cell phones going off... 1st world problems I guess, but those little things really annoy someone wanting to have a nice time @ dinner. Tuesday evening we had a reservation at 7:00 pm and we had an out of town guest with us. We had taken him to Perry's before and he requested that we go back again. Everything was great including the service to a point. We had our appetizers and were waiting for the salad. Our guest reminded the waiter that we had been sitting there for 1 hour and 20 minutes and requested to see the manager. He said he forgot the salad and brought it out immediately. The manager was very apologetic and asked if we would like a complimentary bottle of wine. We declined. We finally got our steaks and enjoyed the meal. It is not a quiet restaurant because of its size. Our waiter (Dixanne) made the experience for us. She was helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly without being intrusive. The food was perfect. We had Chateaubriand for two with their signature fried asparagus, warm spinach salad and chocolate chip bread pudding with caramel sauce and toasted marshmallow for dessert. Even though the lunch portion is 1/2 the size of the dinner portion it is still more than most people can eat. Not to worry, the leftovers make a delicious meal later.

We were disappointed. When we arrived we were ushered through the main dining room through a long hall into a room at the back of the restaurant that was dark and pretty much devoid of the usual warmth that we've always expected of a Perry's restaurant. It was Mother's Day and they had crammed people into every nook and cranny of the place. Our table, party of 6, was so close to the others that the waiter had to reach over some diners to serve some of us. Waiters were constantly bumping into members of our party sitting next to the aisle. Perry's Cabernet - FANTASTIC, Salads - FANTASTIC, Timing between courses - FANTASTIC, Steaks...ok.
My wife ordered the Strip served on a bed of asparagus and the steak was just not very tender, or seasoned very thorough. It was cooked excellent, and we understand not every cut of meat is going to be perfect, just wishful thinking.
