Perbacco - NYCGreat Find!We went to Perbacco upon reading a recommendation in a travel book, and we were not disappointed! The food was wonderful, the service great, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting on a rainy evening. The restaurant is small, but quiet and romantic, with candles providing a nice ambiance. The steamed beets stuffed with goat cheese were absolutely delicious, and the burrata was fresh and tasty. The homemade gnocchi melted in your mouth, and the lasagna Bolognese was just perfect. The espresso was the best we had in the city. There's so much more on the menu that we want to try, and we will definitely return on our next trip to NYC.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWords just don't do it justice...I don't know what to say. This is hands down the best food we've had in NYC. Every time I eat here, I literally put my fork down after the first bite and think (often out loud), "How is this possible? This is amazing!" It's like I hate to take the next bite, because I don't want the meal to ever come to a close. The flavors they combine are just spectacular. Whoever is in the kitchen is a genius. Worth the drive no matter where you are in Manhattan...seriously. Wow.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost PerfectWe started with a shared creme brulee which, as always, is a Perbacco stunner. My guests had the aracini (amazing) and the zuchini which were reported to be fine. I had the honey-drizzled salad which was served with chopped walnuts, another winner.
For main courses my guests had the ravioli and the rosette pasta. The rosette pasta (with speck and a drizzle of truffle flavored sauce) is a perennial favorite of mine, and the mouthful I tasted was superb. I had the pork which was the only disappointment that night. On previous occasions it was moist and succulent but on this occasion it was a tad dry. It was a slight disappointment in an otherwise excellent night.
Perbacco remains one of my favorite restaurants in New York and I'll be back.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful neighborhood experienceLovely service, great food served with lots of heart!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMShared some delicious smallShared some delicious small plates with a few friends. Everything was delicious.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious PerbaccoI went to Perbacco last wednesday with my husband and my cousin. We choose the place because the menu offerred delicious dishes, a lot of variety and the place had a warm and friendly atmosphere. I can't complain about the food, at least mine and my cousin's dishes were excellent, she ordered gnochi with butter and sauted onions, it was lovely, and mine was a special spagetti I don't recall the name of the type of pasta, with a pesto sauce, also delicious. Unfortunately my husband didn't end up very happy with his plate because his lamb ribs were to small and it looked like not enough food for its price form the very first look of the plate. However the service was really great, the waiter was very friendly and nice!! Come but order pasta!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPerbacco is primo. This was the second year we travelled into NYC from LI to have an Easter dinner with family. Both times the food & service were well enjoyed by everyone there. The chocolate hamburger desert stands out as a unique & delicious item.
I highly recommend Perbacco.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent ExperienceI've been here quite a few times, but not often in the past year. Seems the focus of their menu has changed (less small plates, more entrées), but the food remains excellent! (Maybe even better) And the service has improved. We started with the tuna appetizer (very satisfying) along with the yummy polenta (mushroom and truffle sauce was our fav) and the endive salad (fresh and tasty). My friend had the pork chops and I had the homemade spaghetti with roe and lemon zest. Both were delicious and beautifully plated. We had a carafe of the Montepulciano which was excellent and reasonably priced, and the coffee and dessert - Tiramisu - were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall an excellent experience at Perbacco this time!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome little gem! GreatAwesome little gem! Great service (very cute waiters (: ), super authentic. Amazing Italian food..
