  • "My friend and I decided to stop in on the last day of LI Restaurant Week - definitely the best selection of food I've seen on a "Restaurant Week" menu I've seen in both Long Island and NYC. There were a lot of interesting options (including a very varied drink menu), and the clam dip appetizer was absolutely delicious. I had mint chocolate chip cheesecake, which was certainly a unique item, and also quite good. I must admit though, every time I've visited Perabell, the desserts are ALWAYS interesting and to die for. :)"

  • "This is not the choice for a quiet romantic dinner. They are busy, busy, busy and it is evident in the service. The wait staff hustles but keeping up with demand appears to be a challenge. The noise level makes it impossible to have dinner conversation. The talented chef however makes up for all the negatives. Menu is innovative and selections are numerous. If you are attending a show, give yourself 2 hours to complete dinner for two (for a weeknight ) can't imagine what the place is like on a weekend."

  • "We were going to the Patchogue Theater for a performance. PeraBell is right next door. We made reservation via open table and were seated as soon as we arrived. The menu has a good selection for dinner. The service was quick with both waitresses and bus boys tending to the tables. Prices are appropriate. Food was well prepared. It was a nice dinning experience."

  • "We went to Perabell before the Golden oldies Show at the Patchogue Theatre. It was a beautiful evening and there were lots of people walking around the town. We both ordered burgers; my wife's with blue cheese and mushrooms and mine with Swiss and mushrooms. Mine came fine but hers had sautéed onions. The waiter was apologetic and took it back. Within 5 minutes a new burger appeared with blue cheese and mushrooms. However, it looked like they had washed it and heated it then added the cheese and mushrooms. It was almost well done rather than juicy and medium. Mine was delicious! So be sure you get what you ordered or hope you like what they bring you the first time."

  • "Wish my experience was different. After years of visiting this establishment, after this experience I would not recommend this restaurant. Service was not up to par at all. I specifically requested the bill in advance on open table as well as by calling the restaurant in advance. They handed the bill to our guest. Really? Another guest was embarassed on way in for lack of sleeves on his shirt. It was over 80 degrees and he was fully clothed. Please list your attire demand either on website, open table or front door. Service was very slow...... $400.00 and family celebration later- it was the not worth the visit."

  • "Trying to get together for some fine food & drinks for a while. This sounded like a good option. Alfresco dining, local beers, Happy Hour & pleasant staff. Tended towards fish and we were not disappointed. I thought the swordfish was cooked perfectly. Veggies & the presentation were nice too. Service was attentive but not overly chummy. I look forward to next trip. "

  • "This was our first time at PeraBell (there were 3 of us). The weather outside was nice and they had floor to ceiling windows that were slid open to let the outside in. There have tables outside on Main Street. Two of us had the soup special (a lobster/corn bisque) and the third had the wedge salad. We were all very happy with our choices. Two of us had the New Orleans Shrimp and the third had the gorgonzola crusted steak. Again we were very happy with our choices. The shrimp meal had a bit more heat than I am used to but it was manageable. I'm sure others will call me a lightweight but that's me. Next time I am going to try the steak."

  • "We had mandarin wings & empandas for appetizer, were great. Then ordered Shrimp New Orleans looking forward to the shrimp, chorizo in a spicy tomato sauce over fettuccine..... Shrimp were nice size but ther was no chorizo, the sauce was not spicy, ordinary chunky tomato sauce over a bed of almost raw fettuccine, not al dente....very disappointed... Husband had a lobster roll that was chopped so finely not even a chuck of lobster and overpowered by bacon bits........staff was very attentive and friendly......Not sure I could recommend for more then appetizers. Sorry to say , I wanted to enjoy!!"

  • "Me and my husband found PeraBell by accident one night just driving around looking for a new place to eat. What luck that we chose PeraBell as the food was incredible. We can tell that a lot of though goes into every meal, Every meal we have had there has been an experience to remember. Bravo to the chef!! My favorites are the artichoke dip, wedge salad and the Tilapia. Although they removed a tilapia dish that came with risotto and a great spicy shrimp appetizer dish and are hoping they bring it back. We visit at least once a month!"

  • "Are here about a month ago but just remembered to review. The food was excellent as always. Usually I find the waitstaff to be not the best, but this time was a surprising exception. Vito was friendly, patient, and accommodating, and I tend to be a bit annoying with requests. It was overall a great experience. My only complaint was that we were sitting along the bench and they sit people so close to eachother. I understand if it's busy, but it was a slow night and there were plenty of other open tables around. Maybe next time sit the two top on a four top table instead of right on top of other guests. "

  • "I made a reservation on line for a booth-and didn't get one: instead I was sat between 2 other couples , about 6 inches away from me- I could only hear them talk and couldn't hear my husband. I requested birthday candle in my husbands dessert for his 60th, and it didn't happen. I requested no raw onions, and my salad was loaded with them. My steak was overcooked and my husbands swordfish was on a bed of a slimmy gel liked substance that tasted aweful. To end my meal, I went out to my car parked on Main St, that had a parking ticket, because there is apparently a new parking meter rule that i had no idea about, .....why couldn't the restaurant have a note on the front door warning their clients of the new parking rule. "

  • "Food was tasty and presentation was nice. The wait staff were very attentive, but they were hard to hear and they had a hard time hearing us. Luckily, they were able to anticipate our needs! We were here at the end of Restaurant Week (which we didn't know about), so there was a price fixed menu that we took advantage of- good selection or we would have skipped it. The noise was off-putting. Also, we were seated at a small table against a banquette. The next couple was so close that when one of the went to get up to use the bathroom, they knocked my butter knife off my plate to the floor."

  • "Hostess and all waitstaff very friendly and efficient. We were a little late for reservation due to some unexpected traffic, but had called ahead to let them know and they held the table. Soup d'jour was great, the mussel appetizer was delicious, even though we missed that there was cheese in it, and so the suace was a little creamy. Entres of grilled sushi-grade tuna and New Orleans shrimp were both very good. Band in the bar side of the space started at about 9:30, and was not too loud. We were late to meet friends elsewhere so had to skip dessert this time. Would definitely go back."

  • "We ordered one appetizer and two burgers cooked medium. Another couple was seated next to us after we ordered and they were served their food and left and we still didn't have our burgers. The waitress just kept saying "should be right out" with no other explanation. I thought maybe they were slaughtering the cows out back because I never waited so long for a hamburger. When it finally arrived it was undercooked and mushy. We had to be somewhere and didn't have time to wait for another so I took it home and gave it to my dog. He seemed to like it. But he didn't have to wait an hour for it. "

  • "I rarely go out for large dinners anymore. I love the variety ordering smaller plates provides. Perabell has one of the best menus for ordering in this fashion in the area. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed a cup of French Onion soup which had a dark, rich broth. I followed up with polenta cakes. I would have preferred that they had been served hot to melt the cheese the polenta was incorporated with, but they were very tasty none the less. My final plate was the Eggplant Napolean appetizer. The briny olive and tomato relish it was topped with gave the eggplant and mozzarella tower a freshness of flavor which was really yummy. All in all, a very nice meal!"

  • "The food was very good and the sangria was excellent. We were rushed at the end but other then that I can't complain. The waiter asked us if were finished with out meal. We said yes expecting him to clear the table and bring the desert menu. Instead he brought us our bill. It was my birthday so my husband wanted me to have cake even if no one sang Happy Birthday but instead we just paid and left. I know it was busy but the we were only there for about 35 minutes from beginning to end. I would still recommend the restaurant because the food is very good but I didn't appreciate being rushed."
