  • "My partner and I dined at Pepperoncini for lunch. We went on a holiday (July 4th), so it was relatively empty. The ambiance was enchantingly romantic and laid back and the wait staff were extremely attentive without being overwhelming. I had the crab cakes with the summer vegetables and the mister had the salmon with roasted potatoes. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! We did not want our meals to end. Also, the olive oil was superb! By its color and taste, we could tell that it was very fresh. I would highly recommend this spot."

  • "Been here many times but this was not the usual experience we have seen, the appetizer came out wrong, the chef did not know the special. The veal parmesan I had tasted like it was frozen and warmed up. My wife's dish of short ribs was very fatty with some sort of root vegetables smashed together. Did not complain because we had an out of town guest with us who thought the meal was good. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday. NOT up to PAR plus service was veryyyyyyyyyy slow."

  • "The food was average at best. The atmosphere was extremely noisy as all of the noise from the bar flows into the dining room. It appeared that there was only 1 waiter for the entire dining room. While i give him credit for workig his butt off the service was extremely slow!! It took forever to him to take our order, get food, get drinks, and get the check. Especially since it seemed like there was at least 1 or 2 women, who appeared to be waitresses, just chatting with the hostess all night. I only saw them fill a water glass once or twice. I will not be going back nor do i recommend this place. There are so many good italian places around, dont waste your time with this one."

  • "The dining room is very nice and the bar area is inviting. However, the service was only fair as was the food. Our waiter seemed distracted and was extremely slow. There were only 2 of us dining that night and a group of 8 that came after us got their drinks before us and were giving their orders before we even got our cocktails. Considering this is primarily Italian, I was extremely disappointed in the red sauce/gravy. It was watery and didn't have much taste to it. I really wanted to like this restaurant since it's close to our home, but not sure I would return. "

  • "My family went for Mothers Day dinner at 3pm. Place was not that busy, as the brunch menu just ended. We were not to happy with the entrance to the restaurant which was down several steps. My mother 75, would have preferred a more direct access. The only other problem we had was with the lighting in the restaurant. It was too dark which is usually a red flag. The menu was difficult to read due to the lack of lighting. However, the service was very good and the food was delicious. Large portions and food was served hot! The dessert selection was fair but the coffee was cold.( hard to get a hot cup of coffee anywhere though). "

The restaurant itself was nicely decorated which was reassuring because our first impression upon arriving wasn't all that promising because of the long set of stairs which take you below street level, which felt like we were walking down to the dungeon.   • "We went to this restaurant for the first time and I think out of everything, our service and waiter was exceptional. Also, we had a table in a room that was well laid out and very comfortable. There was a lot of space and we were not very close to other tables which can be the case in many of the other Phoenixville restaurants. Either set up is fine but I think this type of privacy is better for special occasions for a couple. The food was very good but I have to be honest that I am not an expert critic when it comes to italian. All of our dishes were fresh, hot, and the servings were reasonable. Wine and beer selection was complete and there was something for everyone in our group. We will definitely go back"

  • "On an invite from some friends, we made a reservation for 8 people at 6:30pm on a Sunday evening. Went there for their "Red Sauce Sunday" promotion: a choice of 8 entrees with a house salad for $15 each and $5 glasses of house white or red. Service was pleasant but very slow (I'm not sure how much of the fault lies with the server or with the management having too few servers but it was slow). No bread was offered to the table but I saw other tables with bread/butter/olive oil so I know it was available. The drinks (4 reds, 4 whites) took FOREVER to arrive as did the refills. Food was just average and it took ~3 hours to eat. Might give it another try but probably not... I wish I could give a better review but just can't, sorry."

  • "Had a good time dining with another couple last Saturday night. Food is good, prices are reasonable. Pace of service was appropriately leisurely, price for 4 with one drink each was 145 not including tip, noise level and distractions weren't at all an impediment to conversation. A nice place to go in Downtown Phoenixville. We've also had dinner there in the summer and enjoyed the outdoor seating; another good reason to go to Pepperoncini!"

  • "We have are here a few times now and absolutely love their menu. The wine list is good and it seems like there is a lot of specialty cocktails too. The music playing is usually very chill and true oldies classics, and usually also an acoustic performer at night. Would recommend the risotto estivo, the mozzarella dimes app, penne alla vodka, the wise guys pizza and don't forget to check out their daily specials."

  • "Dined on Valentine's Day so I was expecting service to be somewhat slow but it was actually pretty good considering. I order Oysters in red sauce and the Oysters were bigger than a house. You literally needed to cut them in pieces to eat and they weren't very tasty at all. Stick with the traditional sizes for best results. Caesar salad was dripping in dressing to the point that the Romaine was soggy. I had the veal entree which was good and no complaints. Maybe it was just a bad night for them. I would give them another try but only if someone else was interested in going there."

  • "We were disappointed with our dinner. Changes have taken place since we last ate there. Seated at an uncomfortable near the door. High traffic area and cold drafts. Selection of small plate entrees were gone with one exception-a special. Arugula salad was not edible. I love arugula but could not eat this salad. Way too many bitter tastes and nothing to balance the bitter bite. My guest felt the same. Used to have a salad that I LOVED. Entrees were average. Staff was friendly and did comp the salads. Probably will not return."

They had a limited menu for Valentines day, but this was the Sunday after the holiday, disappointing...in addition their Sunday select menu were out of 4 main entrees including MEATBALLS...I ordered a glass of chardonnay and to my complete surprise, they return to tell me, "Im sorry but we are all out of chardonnay"...huh?? How does an Italian restaurant run out of meatballs and wine?? unheard of to me...the food was good, but we waited forever for our entrees. OH, when we asked for bread when we first sat down, they said we had to wait until we put our order in...again, huh?it was a girls night out birthday, so we laughed it off, but it was a strange evening!"

Food was fine, but didn't make up for service. -Despite having reservations, the only table was next to the door on a cold Feb night. -Server took 20 minutes to stop at our table for the first time. We had to say something to the hostess to make sure we even had a server. When she did stop by, no apology or anything. -Young lady dropped off bread, other guy came over 30 seconds later telling us how she had done it wrong, gave us dipping oil, and told us (at some length) how they had been having problems with bread lady lately -Veal Corleone was pretty good, Spare ribs were sub-par, appetizer was very good. -Took awhile to get the bill -Were given the wrong bill -Cocktails were excellent!"

  • "We had never heard of this restaurant and picked them off Open Table because they had the time slot open. What a great pick! Our server Amanda was terrific- very attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is small but you are not on top of the next table and it is tastefully decorated. The food choices were excellent. We settled on the Filet Tips special and a Veal dish. My husband loves to try new martinis and chose the Espresso Martini - which he loved! The desserts all looked great and we both settled on the Tiramasu which turned out to be another great choice. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be adding this restaurant to our regular list!"

  • "We can always rely on Pepperoncini Soto to serve up good Italian food with courteous service at a moderate price. Sunday was the Red Sauce special -- a number of entrees for $15, with salad -- and three of us did this, two gnocchi with Italian sausage, one vodka penne, three home runs. House wine was also $5/glass special. The sleeper is their beer list; while not an overwhelming selection, you can find something interesting. I always have a Guinness at Pepperoncini Soto, because while the Irish and Italians may not love each other, they do marry each other. Like Ahnold, I'll be bock."

The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and were very willing to help make some meals vegetarian for my friend. The food is great - they always have a variety of specials. It is definitely a good dining experience :)"

  • "I was visiting from Florida and planned to meet with old friends who live in town. We all had been to this restaurant before and thought it would be a great place to get together. It was relatively quiet which was what we wanted to that we would be able to talk and hear one another. Our server was wonderful. She did not make us feel rushed but was still very attentive to our needs."

The dining room was set very nicely for a fancier dining experience, however bar type music was being played as well as the music was a bit loud to try to talk over while having dinner.   • "We were here on a Saturday night at 7:15 for dinner. After ordering the waitress came back and said they were out of a portion of my husband's entree and could they substitute something else. That was disappointing and early in the evening to run out of a menu special. Although the food was good it was nothing out of the ordinary and the bill was high (we ordered one bottle of wine to share with 3 people). I thought the food was overpriced for the quality. Also, the service was very slow and the restaurant was noisy. Not my favorite dining experience in Phoenixville."
