A word from Peppercorns Grill
Peppercorn’s Grill and Piccolo Arancio are owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal, Dino, Tina, and Rosa. Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and they, along with younger sisters Tina and Rosa opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian upbringing.
Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When their uncle felt that the two brothers education was complete, he helped them open their own restaurant in Rome, Piccolo Arancio and became internationally acclaimed within their first year. Now operated by their cousins, Piccolo Arancio remains near the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
Both restaurants produce award-winning cuisine and continue to receive high honors and awards. This may Marked the 10th consecutive year the both Peppercorn's Grill and Piccolo Arancio received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence

We had a 5 pm reservation before the 7:30 show at the Bushnell. We had time to have a appetizer and dessert with our dinner and walked to the show by 7:20. The appetizer and dinner were great and service was very good. For dessert I had ordered the Lemon sorbet and my husband had the Vanilla bean gelato sundae. It seemed to take a long time for dessert for what we ordered (15 - 20 mins); however we had the time so it wasn't a big deal. I didn't care for the Lemon sorbet at all, it was powdery tasting, but our waiter took care of it right away for me. Overall, Peppercorns is a great restaurant and perfect before a show at the Bushnell. We will definitely be back!

The service was extremely slow although they didn't seem to be short-staffed. It took at least a half an hour, punctuated by the server taking one drink order at a time, before we were able to order. Then, when the food came it seemed as though it was a reheat endeavor slapped onto hot plates. I had the tired crab crusted sole with parsnips were swimming in oil. There was no kids menu, but we ordered spaghetti and meatballs- the mystery meat might have been chicken. The server did not say. My husband had a chicken dish - bland. We went for a special family night; but besides the company, we were too distracted by the mediocrity of everything else. I must say (rainbow coming up) the restaurant was nicely appointed. Fix the food and the service and it'll be a neighborhood gem.

Went to Peppercorns before going to the Bushnell on a Thursday evening. The manager (owner?) seated the people that came in behind us first, even though we had a reservation. We ordered the osso bucco and grilled veal chop. When the food arrived it looked ok, but after cutting into my veal chop it was raw, although ordered medium. It was sent back, and came back cooked a little more, but definitely not medium. It was very crowded probably because of its proximity to the Bushnell, very noisy, and we had no time to have desert even though we did not order an appetizer or salad.

Stopped in with reservations at 5:30PM before a 7:30PM show at the Bushnell after reading many glowing reviews online and a personal recommendation from a friend. We were seated quickly, but with no menus... from sit down to when the server acknowledged us was close to 10 minutes. I got up and asked the host for menus when it became apparent they would not be delivered. I ordered a craft beer on draft which was only 3/4 full. Already a disappointment. The apps (Calamari and salad were good) but the service was slow even with the server knowing that we were going to the show. The entrees were the big disappointment. I ordered the Ribeye and the steak was cool, like it had been sitting out. The steak had a dollop of horseradish sauce that was really unnecessary, and I did not notice it being listed in the menu. My wife ordered this 1/2 order of Truffles and homemade pasta which she loved but the portion was really small compared to the price of $33 for a Pasta special. I know truffles are expensive, but i was surprised at how small the dish actually was. Because the service took so long, I am embarrassed to say i had to ask for the check while my wife was still finishing her meal just to make sure we got to the show on time. Even then, it took about 10 more minutes to run the card and bring the check back. Added unnecessary stress to a nice evening out. Overall, I know this poor service was related to lots of show goers, but I expect them to be able to handle it when the advertise in the Play bill of the Bushnell theater. I do not think I will go back to this restaurant with so many other options nearby.

went on friday night at 730 which worked out good. There was a mad rush of folks leaving for the play at the Bushnell. therefore it made out check in a bit hectic and needed to wait for our table. However this worked well as once we sat, the resturant was quieting down and we have great service from our waitress. she provided some good recomendations for both appetizers and main dishes. Everyone liked what they had.

We hadn't been to Peppercorns in many years and we're excited to give it another try, but unfortunately the meal was so so. The caprese salad was served with flavorless tomatoes, less than fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of olive oil. Fresh ingredients, a balsamic reduction and a better ratio of basil would have helped the dish. Unfortunatky, the veal special was overcooked and disappointing.as well. The bolognese with gnocchi was the highlight of the meal. And our waitress was very attentive and pleasant as was the live music.

My husband and I have eaten at Peppercorn's before but we brought friends along with us on Saturday night 11/1 before going to the Bushnell. The food was excellent and although the waitress informed us of a good crowd between 5-7pm our food was definitely timely and we were able to get to the Bushnell on time. Each one of us had a different meal that we all enjoyed. Can't wait to return again. Kudos to the chefs.

The chef at Peppercorn's is so creative; each dish is so well-prepared that you can't stop eating, even when you're full! The presentation is beautiful, but the taste is amazing. Try the lobster/scallop ravioli. Best I've ever had. Friends ordered the bolognese pasta and could not stop raving about it. Service is prompt. The wait staff made sure to get us out in time for our show. We will return.

The staff was very accommodating with our seating request and the atmosphere was electric! We started with a caprese salad which we shared, for presentation purposes they split the salad into two different plates so that each would look spectacular. I had the filet, which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the lobster ravioli; which is by far the best lobster ravioli we have ever had and we are die-hard New Englanders. For dessert we shared the ice-cream sundae, I have no idea what they do to the cherries that make them seem to explode in your mouth with flavor but the sundae was outstanding!

We used to really enjoy the restaurant but recently have found it not so great. Our waiter was very inattentive and had to be prompted for everything. We told him we were going to the theater and he said no problem but we did not have time for coffee after dinner. The food was mostly good but one dish was so-so. For a Saturday evening the restaurant was fairly quiet. I don't think we will go back again

Peppercorn's Restaurant Week menu had many delicious choices on their menu that did not disappoint! The crab salad appetizer was so delicious and my husband enjoyed his veal osso bucco cooked to perfection. The scallop and lobster ravioli were full of flavor and melted in your mouth. I had been to Peppercorns Grill many times while my daughter was at college in the area. I hadn't been back in over 6 years and am happy to say it was as good, if not better, than I remembered. The two other couples I brought had never dined there before, but were just as impressed. Everyone loved their food from the butternut squash bisque to the homemade fettuccini with lobster bolognese style (lots of meat!). The veal meatballs, fluke and sea bass were also a big hit. Overall, it was simply delicious food with excellent service and great ambiance.

Having been a little over a year ago with my friend and loving it, I had wanted to go back. This time my meal was nothing to write home about. I went back with my boyfriend this time. We started with fried artichoke and mozz stuffed zucchini blossoms- not worth the $13 they were asking for them. He got the lasagna bolognese and I the Veal two ways. His was to have veal in the lasagna and it ended up being a tasteless portion of lasagna accompanied by a veal cutlet layered with vinaigrette marinated field greens and red onions topped with soggy croutons. Mine a perfectly fall off the bone tender osso bucco that tasted like nothing and veal#2 Saltimbocca yet where was my prosciutto? It was only grilled pieces of veal tenderloin. All bland.
