I really wasn't expecting much but I loved it. We started with a salad, which was fresh and very good. I had the chicken lasagna, which was delicious. My husband had spinach ravioli, which was really good (not as good as the chicken lasagna though). Our server, Eric, was very attentive and even put a little candle on our dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. We are always warmly welcomed by beautiful and smiling faces. Each time the food has been consistently excellent, served hot, and more food than we can eat in one sitting! The service has always been friendly, helpful and never rushed or hovering. The staff works well with each other sharing tables, so that customers never have to wait if they need something. The décor is relaxing, comfortable and still elegant. Our server was friendly and professional. My grandson mentioned the clam chowder was some of the best he has ever had.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are now part-time residentsWe are now part-time residents of Big Bear, so we are making the rounds to all the restaurants. So far Peppercorn is our favorite of the higher end restaurants in town. The menu is really deep, from pasta and pizza, to steaks, fish and chicken. Only the steaks are priced at the higher end, everything else is very reasonable in my opinion. Appetizer was large, enough for 4 to nibble on, all entres come with salad or soup, the caesar salad we had was much larger than the average side salad. The wine selection is good, with many offered by the glass. Service is solid and not overbearing.

We own a vacation home and always make reservations for dinner when we know we are coming up. The food is always good but this time there was a select appetizer, cheese and fruit tray that was excellent!!!

So, I made resurvations to take my wife there as part of our 5 year wedding anniversary trip. Our friends were right on. The service was absolutely amazing, above and beyond what I had expected.
