The food is always spot on, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is very warm, welcoming, romantic, and special. The service was outstanding and the food was no less than perfect! We enjoyed the atmosphere and found ourselves just watching the staff work the entire room. This was one of the best examples of teamwork we have witnessed. Each staff person there paid attention to every detail at every table. We totally enjoyed just watching how everything works, we've never done that in a restaurant before. The pepper steak was amazing as was the Steak Diane and veal. We have talked about our special night non-stop for the past two days and have told all our friends and family what a great dining experience we had! We shared 2 apetizers, 3 entrees and 2 desserts at our table and found them all to be delicious and prepared as ordered. Especially flavorful were the sauces, which enhanced the dishes significantly. Tableside preparation of several items was masterful and entertaining without being intrusive. Service was professional, though a bit rehearsed. The taste, texture, tenderness of the meat was exquisite! The appitizers and dessert were also delicious. The steak had just the right amount of marbling causing it to be so tastey and tender. The Dianne sauce was just enough to finish off the steak, but if I had a choice I would ask for more. Great decor, however I wish there would have been a piano player or some soft classical music pumped through the restaurant somehow. The servers were outstanding when we first arrived, attending to our every needs, but toward the end of our evening, they staff seemed a little more busy with the additional volume of diners. We were the first guests to arrive, so the dining room was very quiet. We wondered if it would be a boring evening. within an hour the room was full. Everyone was dressed very nicely and the servers were exceptionally friendly and professional. We ordered the Scallops with a Thai Chili sauce for appetizer. They were incredible and cooked perfectly! Then we ordered the Pepper Steak and Steak Diane for our main entrees. Little did we know the steaks would be cooked table-side. We loved watching the chef's magic with each ingredient and fire show :) We were served the most tasty, tender center-cut steaks we've ever had by far! The Famous (downtown) is awesome, but the flavor and tenderness of the signature pepper steak is out of this world. EVERY time we eat here, it is consistently fantastic! hostess was not that friendly and all of the staff kept pushing the wine. Now I know why; we each ordered one glass
of red wine and got about 1/4 of a glass for the price of a whole bottle. They are making a killing off of the wine.
It took a while for our server to give us the menu and they seated us in the middle of the dining room when there
were tables open near the window. They make the steaks at your table and did not notice we ordered two steaks
not one so it took longer for our second steak to cook. In the end they undercharged us for the bill by a large amnt
and although we were honest and patient while they corrected the total; they could have offered us a discount

The ambiance was delightful with a great view of the city. Dinner was prepared tableside and was delicious. My first martini was not the best but the second made up for the deficiency. They have switched from a pepper kernel to a coarse pepper paste that was too much. Not the same as before Neil Levy.
Previously we had been charged for refills on club soda (really turned me off). I hosted a dinner that included a party of 10 from various parts of the U.S. This was my first experience at the Pepper Tree as I live in Denver. A drive-by of the restaurant earlier in the day left me feeling a little skeptical - the 'curb appeal' could use some help. I trusted the reveiws on here and on Trip Advisor - a very good decision! The service was simply outstanding!!! Everyone in my party really enjoyed the food with three choosing the pepper steak with a mango chutney - delicious!!! We ordered 5 deserts to share - each was fantasitic. We took friends who had never been before. Two of us had the lobster bisque and were disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as tasty as expected. However, dinner was absolutely wonderful. Salads were crisp and flavorful. The bread was warm, crusty outside and soft and delicious inside. The entrees were perfect; two of us had pepper steaks and two shared the Chateaubriand . Desserts (shared chocolate cake and apple pie with cinnamon ice cream) were delicious but much bigger than expected.
All of the waitstaff were prompt, friendly, and we never had to ask for anything.
