This is our favorite place for fine dining.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPepper Me NotWe have been eating at the PepperTree for 20 years. It has been about a year since we last ate there. They have switched from a pepper kernel to a coarse pepper paste that was too much. Not the same as before Neil Levy.
Previously we had been charged for refills on club soda (really turned me off). This time they were gratis.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMquite and relaxed atmospherequite and relaxed atmosphere - outstanding service and excellent customer relations. We were very pleased with all aspects of the dinner, though one of us did not get the proper side dish that she had ordered.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMYour Pepper Steak was, onceYour Pepper Steak was, once again, out of this world. Loved it!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AM5 Stars!!!5 Star Service and Food! I hosted a dinner that included a party of 10 from various parts of the U.S. This was my first experience at the Pepper Tree as I live in Denver. A drive-by of the restaurant earlier in the day left me feeling a little skeptical - the 'curb appeal' could use some help. I trusted the reveiws on here and on Trip Advisor - a very good decision! The service was simply outstanding!!! Everyone in my party really enjoyed the food with three choosing the pepper steak with a mango chutney - delicious!!! We ordered 5 deserts to share - each was fantasitic. It's worth the 1+ drive from Denver to dine - will do so again in the near future.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were celebrating our 45thWe were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. We had a very enjoyable dinner and a lovely view. Would go back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI celebrate my birthday thereI celebrate my birthday there every year and it is worth repeating.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu MisleadingThe only issue I had with this restaurant is the menu. I ordered the Angus Ribeye which was $44.95. The description said that it came with blue cheese chips and bacon bits. Nothing in the menu suggested that the latter would be extra. I was charged an extra $.50 for each topping. I do not like hidden charges. I did not mention it because it was only $1 more, but it's not like I paid for a $15 meal. You would think that the toppings would be included for the price I paid. I knew the restaurant was a bit pricey, but I didn't expect hidden charges. They also did the same for my wife's order, she was charged $1 for the topping on her dinner.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak I've ever had atBest steak I've ever had at a restaurant. Ever!
I cut it with a butter knife.
Delicious.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur food was excellent, ourOur food was excellent, our service was great, in fact the entire visit was wonderful. I wouldn't describe Peppertree as a family restaurant, but my nine and eleven year olds were welcomed and well accomidated.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife & I were given a giftMy wife & I were given a gift certificate and it was our 1st time dining at the Peppertree. The food and service was very good. We went back a week later for my wifes birthday and received the same great service and food. A wonderful experience both times.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMVery elagant, super views,Very elagant, super views, waiters in tuxes provide superb service and high quality food, the pepper steak is very impressive table prepared. Good wine list, appetizers, a tad expensive for the entrees but you get two nice sides. Book a window table, we watched a storm roll up the valley while sipping fine wine.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great evening, foodHad a great evening, food is amazing and enjoyed our visit with Neil the owner.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had not been to the PepperWe had not been to the Pepper Tree in a long time. We took friends who had never been before. Two of us had the lobster bisque and were disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as tasty as expected. However, dinner was absolutely wonderful. Salads were crisp and flavorful. The bread was warm, crusty outside and soft and delicious inside. The entrees were perfect; two of us had pepper steaks and two shared the Chateaubriand . Desserts (shared chocolate cake and apple pie with cinnamon ice cream) were delicious but much bigger than expected.
All of the waitstaff were prompt, friendly, and we never had to ask for anything. It was a wonderful dining experience for our special occasion celebration.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a large group of 13We were a large group of 13 and all of our steaks were prepared perfectly and served at the same time. I will remember this trip to Colorado Springs by THIS dining experiance at the Pepper Tree. My one regret was getting the 6 oz steak diane...I wish I had ordered the 8 or 10 oz.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
