We celebrated a friend's 80th Birthday last Saturday evening and it was such a memorable occasion. The food and service was outstanding, not to mention the fabulous views of our beautiful city! Our server, Thomas, was so busy but he went out of his way to make our celebration very special. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions, but be sure to make reservations because it is very busy and popular. We were seated soon after our 7pm reservation and everyone was very friendly and attentive. We will be back in the future. Our waiter was excellent.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOur Favorite RestaurantWe have always loved the food at Peohe's, and as a premium restaurant, the food matches the incredible scenery of the bay and city skyline at the ferry landing. We were surprised at the level of service when we found the staff had prepared personalized menus for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary in response to our dinner reservation. That was a very thoughtful and nice touch to add to the enjoyment of the evening. Unlike other restaurants, we never felt rushed in our meal experience to clear the table for the next customer. It was more like a European dining experience in that sense. The staff were great.

We thought lunch by the water for our ten year anniversary sounded great. I believe the server's name was Christine and she was awesome. She kept close watch and was attentive without being intrusive. Overall it was a wonderful experience. It is always a pleasure to dine on the delicious food, take up the beautiful view of my hometown and deal with the awesome wait staff. However, we consistently have to wait despite reservations in advance every time. There were many open tables...even on the enclosed deck where we had requested to be seated. It seems they either don't staff sufficiently or the front desk doesn't know how to manage the inflow of customers. There were about 5-6 other small groups (2-4 people per group) waiting when we arrived, so it's not like seating everyone should have been a challenge.
