Penrose Room - The BroadmoorAnniversary DinnerThis restaurant was recommended by a friend as an excellent place to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, and it did not disappoint. We had a 4 course, candlelit feast at mid evening overlooking the city lights of Colorado Springs, and with live Jazz in the background. The staff was discrete, but attentive, the wine was grand, and the dinner courses were what is expected at the finest restaurants. At the Penrose Room that managed to accomplish this. We spoke with each person on the staff that served and and found each one charming and helpful. So, awesome service.
The food...oh the food. The chef made each dish amazing. Even the bread served with our main courses was fresh baked and incredible. I would go back again and again.
They had live music with a vocalist and band. Perfectly romatic. We would eat a course, then do a nice slow dance (my wife and I). Then, return to some more amazing food and do it again. The dress code is one of class and elegance and one that the Penrose room enforces usually. There was a party of at least 8 who came in later dressed in skimpy flapper outfits and very loud. A great deal of running around and snapping pictures which was very distracting from the normal elegance of the Penrose room.
The food and service was outstanding as usual, but this was an unnecessary and unfortunate distraction. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the music.. which by the way the signer has a very nice voice and you can tell she loves her job.
The staff know there job perfectly and every flavor in every dish is incredible.

This is the 3rd anniversary that we have spent here. We absolutely love the ambiance, not only is it romantic with spectacular views, but it is lively as well with the music and friendly and professional staff. Our server Sharane was not only knowledgeable, but also very professional, helpful and extremely courteous. Every visit we have had the menu has been drastically different, I enjoy the variety and love that they are very "in season" with their menu. The chefs possess a true passion and talent for what they do, as everything we tasted was simply fantastic. Flavorful, professional, beautiful and fun!
