We went specifically for the five-course tasting menu, which is discounted $30 per person through the end of Mar. We added the wine pairings with each course. The food was amazing, and the wine pairings all worked well. Sadly, they really needed one or two more servers on duty the night we were there, as service suffered. We have come to expect perfection at this restaurant, and we didn't get it this time, at least not in the service department. We both rated the meal as good as some of the best restaurants in Toronto.

The food quality and presentation is always excellent. Innovative combinations and ingredients, for example they used some black garlic in a beautiful game bird soup. This was our first taste of black garlic and it is wonderful. In addition, Peller's wines are outstanding and award winning. With our main course we had a Pinot Noir that was perfect. If you like a particular wine that you have with your dinner, you can ask them to put a bottle or 2 on your bill and take them home (we like this style of "wine tasting"). The 7 course tasting menu "Chef" tastes the wine and then pairs the food to compliment it, as opposed to everywhere else doing it the other way around. On the Patio overlooking the vineyards it's nearly impossible to imagine a better experience. The waiter deserves a 5 for service, but a couple of his assistants could use more training. (one spilled the soup and we had to ask to have it cleaned) but I've brought groups here and dined as a couple when service was impeccable. Restaurant critics would do well to leave NYC, Paris and LA and visit Peller Estates and Chez Francois on the River in Vermillion, Ohio. I enjoyed every course. The entree was probably the only dish that is a more decent size. All other portion sizes were very tiny. I was disappointed how little soup was given. Soup was very tasty. My husband's cheesecake dessert was literally a few spoonful. I thought they were coming back to put the cake on top.
Service was excellent. I am a small person. I needed to eat bread to fill myself up with a 4 course meal. I can't imagine the men would feel full coming out from a 4 course meal.

The selected wines went very well with each course and we were amazed each time a new course came out from the kitchen. The timing of each dish was perfect. Our experience lasted about three hours and it was worth every minute.
Although it is a blind tasting, your server will ask you if you have any dietary restrictions or special preferences so they can adjust accordingly.
Our server, Joanna was perfect. It is obvious she cares about her job and her guests.

We had the seven-course chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. I had a few questions about it that our server, Joanna, answered quickly and expertly. She was probably one of the best servers we have ever encountered. A real pleasure to interact with.
We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and the restaurant added a few nice touches including a table by the window, a glass of sparkling wine before the meal, and a Happy Anniversary note written in chocolate on our dessert plates.

The service far exceeded our expectations as each wine was explained in detail as was each course of the tasting menu. The tasting menu is actually a blind menu that can be adjusted to accomodate any food allergies or preferences.
