It was not on the menu that night, but the waiter checked with the chef and it was prepared to perfection for us. On par with the best Italian restauraunts in Italy. The gluten free and regular pastas were amazing. Could not tell the difference. Service was spot on. Room was wonderful.
Our bill was about $100.00 per person, but we had the truffle pasta as an expesive treat. The pasta dishes are big enough to split for a first course.

The pastas here (veal ravioli this time) are to die for, and are presented with the perfect al dente consistency. All of the staff is focused on consistent professionalism, including the very attractive young ladies at the door who had our coats waiting for us as we got up from the table. The experience is akin to a fine restaurant on the upper east side of NYC. The room is sophisticated and softly luxurious, there are even small stools for your handbag.....Started out with a soft shell crab appetizer, wanted the pasta w/ sausage and peas but thought it would be too much food. Our waiter offered to split a half order for us. It was so delicious, I savored every bite. My husband had the lamb shank and I had the salmon.......When I could not finish my entree and asked them to "box" it, they did and kept it at the host station until we left....so much better than bringing a bag to the table. I get to eat at a lot of nice restaurants through work, and this has got to be one of the best italian places I've ever eaten at. Their pasta is phenomenal - completely al dente! (Even my coworker, a vegetarian, who ordered an off-menu custom dish, loved it! Said it's the best pasta he's ever had.) And their salads were fresh and flavorful - not necessarily because they overloaded their salads with sauces, but because of the pure quality of the ingredients on the plate. The service is fantastic, the spread of bread and meats to start the meal is generous. I highly recommend the pasta tasting, my favorite of which was the veal ravioli with pistachio sauce. The black cod filet wrapped in lettuce was a bit disappointing. The cod was a little overcooked, and I think it was just regular cod, not black cod as it stated on the menu. The chocolate truffle dessert with amarena cherries was good though, as were the homemade cookies that ended our meal. Our appetizers were a homemade veal ravioli with pistachio sauce. Sounds nude pasta was delicate San underflavores. The sauce needed to combine and shine. Not enough expression, dull and pasty it was.
The three mozzarella tasting was excellent and varied.
For entrees we shared the risotto off the menu. It was wag at a risotto should be! Magnifico! However, our veal chop, a veal chop

It was a spectacular meal. We split a pasta appetizer of linguini with Black Truffle sauce. It was perfect. Could have eaten that as my meal. For an entree I had the salmon special which was a carpaccio of salmon with a lemon butter sauce. It was cooked perfectly. Really great. My partner had the risotto as listed on the menu. He was thrilled. The service was just what you hope it's going to be. Elegant, unobtrusive, efficient. We can't wait to come back! The greeting this time, gracious and warm as if long time friends from the moment we stepped in the door. Service was every bit as flawless and deft. The food was once again glorious with two exceptions: the grilled squid appetizer could have used a bit more time in an acid brine/marinade to break down some of it's chewiness. It too closely resembled octopus for my liking. Also, the special featuring scallops and shrimp had a pungent fishy smell & taste as well as the scallops being rubbery. I had the veal ravioli and sea bream two-course option. After the veal ravioli, I wonder if I can ever eat veal ravioli anywhere else again. Certainly spoiled by Chef Mauro. The sea bream with potato was simply DIVINE. Husband had the pappardelle and salmon with lemon chives. PERFECTLY done. Daughter LOVES the pappardelle. Dessert was great too.
Ambience was great (I love the color scheme). Server Nebbiolo was outstanding.
