Pegasus Restaurant and TavernaYumThe food here was delicious in a clean atmosphere. Would definitely go back and try the outdoor seating when its nicer.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic Greek with a rooftop view!Located in Greek town, this place makes some really, really good greek food. In Greek town, where the competition is fierce. Prices are extremely reasonable (dinner for 6 with wine - $250). Great dolmadakia, moussaka, avgolemono soup, kebabs, etc. The Saganaki cheese appetizer (served flaming with a hearty "opa" is killer). Do yourself a favor - in between dropping $100 a head at Harry Careys and Mortons and Rosebud, check this place out for a change of pace. You'll love it. Ask for Maria - and on a warm summer night there is always a breeze and a view on the rooftop. Enjoy!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat GreekOne of the best Greek places I have eaten at. A much larger & diverse menu than average. Food was well prepared and ingredients fresh6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGoing Greek!Have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and it doesn't disappoint. My favorite item is the grilled calamari!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreek gem in the the West LoopAfter driving past the Pegasus for several years, we finally made a reservation for dinner. Now we're wishing that we had done it years ago! Hospitality was wonderful along with the food and setting. The menu had a broad range from the traditional classics to a contemporary mix sure to please a range of tastes. On a nice day, the roof top deck would yield a spectacular view of the city skyline but the main dining room also had huge windows that opened to take in the nice weather. Definitely worth a visit.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic! Highly RecommendedMy wife and I are both of Greek descent. The food was as good as our Mothers and Grandmothers would prepare at home. The atmosphere is very pleasant and airy. Our server, Diogenes, provided stellar service to further complement what was an excellent dining experience. We will definitely return the next time we visit Chicago.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoy a Mythical Meal at Pegasus! When I started working at UIC a couple months ago, a neighbor (who is 100% Greek) told me that her favorite Greektown restaurant was Pegasus, so I went there with a friend for dinner. My experience was such that I felt compelled to return to Pegasus for lunch on Mother's Day when my parents and my boyfriend's mother were in from Ohio. Excellent food. Wonderful service. Bright, chipper atmosphere. Perfect for our group of five. You'll find all the traditional Greek specialties, plus some extra-special ones, on the menu at this fantastic Greektown destination. Did I mention the service? I guess I did. Well, it was that good. ;)5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific Greek restaurant!Food is very good, prices are reasonable, and the service is outstanding. Ask for Niko, he was awesome. After the obligatory Saganaki appetizer, Niko recommended some dishes for us, seafood for my wife, and a lamb meatball dish for me. My daughter got the Pastitsio, baclava for dessert, and all was very good, very authentic. It was amazingly quiet, so conversation was comfortable, also. Highly recommended.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dining experienceAs always Pegasus has never let me down with great food and great service. Some restaurants like a dark atmosphere but Pegasus feels like you are outside having a great meal in a courtyard. My family loved everything they ate. Lamb shank, combination plates, pork chops and Pastitsio were outstanding. I will always return to this gem!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was wonderful,Everything was wonderful, except all of the food not coming out together. We were a party of six, one meal didn't come out till the others were almost finished.. Guest was not happy.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMwalt322I brought a group of 9 people from out of town who were in for a convention. Most had not eaten in a Greek reseturant before. They really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was very condusive to lively conversation. Everyone had a good time and really enjoyed the food. The service was attentive but they gave us time and space to enjoy ourselves and to never feel rushed.
I've eaten in many of the resturants in Greek town and found this to on par with the other without the abrupt waiters and the often rush to turn the table.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGo to Pegasus! It was our first time at Pegasus. We went early on a Saturday and it was already busy. We started with a spanakopita appetizer -- excellent. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bread is very good. We tried 3 different entrees and all were delicious. Prices were good and the service was great. Of course we had to have some baklava for dessert and it was some of the best we've had. We'll definitely be back. Even though there's a parking lot across the street, the free valet was handy and of course, less money!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful time -We had a wonderful time - our waitress was hilarious and the food was delicious. There were 6 of us so we tried and shared lots of things. The place was packed but our Open Table ressie was honored immediately. We all would definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the fourth time myThis is the fourth time my wife and I have been to Pegasus in the last 3 years, by ourselves or with family. The list of unusual appetizers is quite long, the ones we've had have been very flavorful. My favorite entree is the gilled rib lamb chops, spiced just right with Greek herbs. For dessert (if you ave any room left) the galaktoburiko is unbelievable.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Gem of Greek Town!Greek Town has another gem with Pegasus Restaurant and Taverna! Some of the other dining spots seem outdated next to Pegasus with its fresh approach to Greek food favorites. This place doesn't ride on its reputation, it creates exciting and delicious experiences every time we visit.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother visit with great food--waitAnother visit with great food--wait staff very helpful and friendly.
