Diner Reviews
  • "The food was very good, but $146 (including tax & tip) for a family of four, for only four plated meals, is just a little ridiculous. This will become a breakfast and lunch spot for us."

  • "Went here for lunch about a month back and loved it. Not as impressed with dinner. Seemed like completely different place. Everything was ok but nothing great. Just shared apps and sides. Lunch had more vegetarian and healthy dishes and dinner was more standard American fare. Confusing and disjointed"

  • "The +s: Four girlfriends were celebrating a friend's birthday. All were looking forward to it. I made a special trip to restaurant early to make sure bar bill (liquor) was charged to my card separately and also noted that it was our friend's birthday. The food was OK.....no complaints. Server was very nice. Lovely setting and evening."

  • "Great casual dining, using fresh local produce. Calabasas needed a place like this!"

  • "Five of us for dinner - it was unanimous - we all liked it. I had the short rib, literally falling off the bone. The wife had what she claims is one of the best hamburgers ever. One of our guests had the green curry seafood stew and hasn't stopped raving. We sat at an outside table and the only problem we had was that they didn't turn on the "frog sound track" until we were just ready to leave!"

  • "I found this restaurant by googling "dog friendly in Calabasas". What a gem! They were totally dog friendly, even brought our dog water without us asking. We sat on the deck overlooking the creek. Our dog was entertained watching the creek while we dined on fantastic food and sipped our wine. My salad was amazing with black rice, arugula, tofu, and asian vegetables, tossed with a super yummy ginger sesame dressing. The food was the perfect mix of healthy and tasty!"

  • "Get there early for parking and enjoy Farmers Market after brunch. Be sure to get there early because once 11:00 comes, it gets pretty hot."

  • "Food was very marginal and extremely overpriced. Small portions and little taste to the food. Certainly will not return."

  • "What a great little restaurant! Pedalers Fork has a great healthy menu (wild caught fish, grass fed beef), an affordable wine list, great atmosphere---especially outside-- and wonderful, caring servers. Overall, I would go here again and again...but I think the ticket is to eat outside. If you eat inside, be prepared not to hear your friends talk...it is loud in there."

  • "The best ever! Loved everything about this restaurant! Food amazing, loved the creek and outdoor patio ambiance. Fresh food, great wine list, and everything is reclaimed. Food is from the ground to table within 24 hrs. Some of the best food I've ever had!"

  • "The waiter, Sam Fisher, was the best ever. We sat in the outside patio area and there were two couples with kids that were wild animals. I almost could have strangled them. It made the dining experience a bust. Someone in management should have spoken to the parents."

  • "Only critique would be that the wait staff could have better explained the menu. Sell the menu and don't expect that we understand farm to table dining and the uniqueness of the food."

  • "Been here before for brunch and enjoyed it tremendously. This time I visited for dinner and was honestly blown away by the flavor, variety and quality of my meal. First of all the bread served prior to the meal is probably the best fresh bread I have ever had. I would honestly go back just for the bread! I ordered the special selection of Sea Bass as recommended by my friendly, hospitable and outgoing server. The dish really wowed me. A generous portion of fresh fish served on a light pesto and tomato sauce along with a bed of fingerling potatoes. Yum to a very high degree. As if that wasn't enough, the setting was absolutely gorgeous and cocktail and wine list ideal. Needless to say I will be back... often."

  • "I can't say enough about the food and service at Pedaler's Fork. The valet parking is reasonable at $3.50 and the reservations through Open Table make it all work nicely. Out table was ready when we arrived. The appetizers I would recommend are Devils on Horseback; you need to try them to believe them. We liked the Beet salad as a table and the main course of grass-fed Burger was the best. They have an extensive beer and wine list which we didn't try to keep down the calories, but it looks more than satisfactory. Don't miss this gem!"

  • "Have Been here for Breakfast and nice. Read the reviews about dinner and very sad that we wasted so much money. From not being able to make a reservation via the phone - only online, to getting there and not being able to sit outside because the internet did not have a choice that you want to sit outside. Duck was blah. Civiche - they ran out - at 6:30... then they made two - something suppose to be civic he."

  • "The food was nondescript. They didn't prepare a steak properly and then when we sent it back they took so much time with it that it was a piece of charcoal when it was returned after everyone else had finshed eating."

  • "It's really unfortunate that our meal was terrible. Well designed restaurant and good looking menu. We sat down and no one came to take our drink order for 15 mins. Our food orders kept getting messed up and service was slow. Good itself was really salty and not thought out. I had the the chicken with a potato waffle. I thought it sounded interesting and wanted to try. The waffle was under the chicken and wilted kale so by the time it got to me the waffle was beyond mushy. So in appetizing. The only thing that was good there were the Parmesan truffle fries. I basically just ate that for dinner."

  • " I found the menu choices limited and the prices high. When my food came, it was overly spicy. The restaurant was filled with a younger crowd so obviously it is very popular but I would not return."

  • "A friend and I meet for lunch about once a month at Pedalers Fork. The food is fine and we like the ambience of the patio. The service however is usually very slow and has never been very good. Long waits to order, lack of presence of the waiter/waitress and orders coming out not as ordered. We are both retired and not hurried but we do expect better servicem than we are receiving. Due to the location and the menu, we will continue to meet there."

  • "The burger was very good. They were out of the IPA I wanted. Wine not so good. After dinner I snorked the coffee and it is definitely work another visit to try earlier in the day"

  • "I just lunched at Pedaler's Fork and found it really wonderful! The restaurant is so quaint and fun, very relaxed. The trees and stream by the outdoor dining are a joy. Food is very good and uncomplicated. Service was very good also. Great coffee shop included in restaurant."

  • "Food is awesome, ambiance alive , service just right! Family favorite for breakfast, lunch get away for hubby and me and had a wonderful dinner there recently with old friends. Love the neighborhood feel of this place in the middle of a area that is over stimulated with celebrities and self absorbed people - it is gem amongst."

  • "We were at Pedalers Fork to celebrate my sons graduation. The waitress was attentive and prompt. Everyone found something that they liked on the menu. The food was a bit slow in coming out and the restaurant wasn't busy. But we had time to wait and enjoy each others company. I have enjoyed both lunch and brunch here and look forward to coming back again."

  • "When I resort to a ordering burger that tells me there are no other choices for me to eat. Too many odd choices. And we ordered a side brussel sprouts for app b/c nothing else looked good. The waitress asked us umpteen times if we were doing ok. And TWICE she whisked off my Calabasas drink before I was finished! The second time she didn't even ask if I wanted a refill. My glass was at the bottom but she just took it. "

  • " My husband and I ate at Pedalers Fork on June 1st. From entering the restaurant to leaving, everything was wonderful. Since the restaurant has a extensive beer selection, I asked Kamarco, our server to pick for me. My husband had him pick a specialty drink. His choices were perfect. He made appetizer and main course suggestions that were very helpful. Ordered the crab cakes and they were delicious. Lots of crab without all the bread crumbs and mayo. Served with a tasty sauce. My husband ordered the short ribs and liked them and the sides very much. I got the excellent duck. It was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to many more meals at Pedalers Fork."

  • "We eat here a great deal and the menu has changed; and in my opinion not that much for the better. The originality of the quinoa bowls was great and made for many fabulous variations on dining (all for the better). Now the menu is much like many of the others int he neighborhood. My biggest gripe is with the HOSTESSES who are mindless. You can spend forever on the phone and they never seems to have a grasp on the reservation situation. When you are told they are full and they have walk ins only, they are wide open. I think that Matt should examine these people closely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "We sat outside on the patio. The food was okay, but definitely not worth the price. The ambiance on the other hand was great! It was very relaxing and since we sat outside were able to bring our dog to lunch with us. "

  • "Peddler' Fork is an ideal choice for someone who wants healthy yet delicious food, with vegan and vegetarian offerings and the source of all meats identified. The patio is magical, creek-side with frogs croaking and light strings twinkling. The bike shop lends a hip ambiance as do the natural wood tables and floors. "

  • "I found Pedalers Fork randomly online, and the website was a definite draw. Excellent variety of menu choices, rustic but elegant ambience, knowledgeable staff, impeccable service. Next trip will be for brunch and to look at their bike shop."

  • "We dined at Pedaler's Fork on a Monday evening. The relatively new restaurant has 'modern-rustic' styling with a 'casual cool' vibe. The restaurant is very open with lots of natural light and a fantastic nature-loving outside dining space. The service was excellent. The menu offered traditional fare with a modern and creative twist. The wine director was extremely knowledgeable and paired a more challenging (single) entree combination of scallops and duck perfectly. If you are looking for a relaxing evening out with good food, good wine, and a casual space - Pedaler's Fork is just the place. "

  • "If there's a theme that runs through every aspect of Pedaler's Fork it would be "Attention to Detail". The perfect decor, the tasty food, the ingredients in the food, the attentive service...it's all carefully orchestrated with no part overlooked. One of the best all-around dining experiences I've had in a LONG time! Menu caters to everyone from health-conscious bike riders looking for more fuel food to culinary junkies who want to indulge. And the healthy stuff - it's pretty damn delicious! The atmosphere is perfect...beautiful design that is modern, rustic, and romantic. Worth the drive from LA for sure!!!"

  • "Pedalers Fork is one of my new favorite places to dine. Great food, great atmosphere. Servers are attentive. If I had to criticize anything it is the volume inside the restaurant, it gets very loud when it's crowded. "

  • "The service felt very rushed. The food is ok but seems overpriced. Portions are rather small especially considering the price. Grilled artichoke was tough. Not worth a second visit. "
