  • Be careful when making a reservatio
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

Be careful when making a reservation through OpenTable. When my group and I arrived at Peche, they had no record of our reservation, even though I received an email confirmation and reminder. There were still open tables so we were able to be seated immediately, however, we were seated at small table that seemed to be in everyone's way. I accidentally elbowed the same staff member twice. There were plenty of better tables available, and I wondered if they had had a record of our reservation if we would have been seated at one of those. That being said the food was excellent, but the real highlights were the drinks. They were expertly prepared and delicious. The entire group decided that we must come back for more drinks.

We are hooked on the great food and cocktails at Peche. Meals are generously portioned and food has great flavors. We always go with something of the specials list and have never been disappointed. These folks take cocktails seriously so be ready to try something new and different. A great place to start an evening downtown or spend some time with a group.

A group of us met up at Peche for an early dinner last week. We got there shortly after 6pm on Friday, the place was happening so it's good we made a reservation. We all started the evening with beautiful and tasty cocktails - all were awesome. Appetizers, don't miss the beef carpaccio and the truffle pom frites, oh my! Dinner was lovely!! Service was wonderful, decor very cool. A must try!

  • Tuna tartar...Is it cooked?
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 7/13/2012
Our food was good except for one member of our group who did not get what she ordered and when she mentioned it to waitress she was told that it was what she ordered that they just cooked Tuna Tartar??? About 30 minutes later the waitress did come back and apologize and offered to bring an actual plate of Tuna Tartar but by then we needed to leave to make it to the show we had tickets for. They did take the wrong plate off of our bill and offer a free dessert. I think I would go for snacks and drinks rather than dinner. My mussels and fries were great. And my drinks were excellent if a little slow in arriving.

  • Both the food and the cocktails
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

Both the food and the cocktails were top notch. The place is right next door to Cedar Street which is a loud out door bar that features live music. We were in the restaurant while sound check was going on next door, and that was annoying as it was quite loud. I imagine it would be difficult to carry on a conversation when the bands are actually playing.

My husband and I frequent Peche quite a bit actually. The food is top notch whatever you order, the waitstaff friendly, the chef actually comes to your table if you order something off the menu that they have had before and Rob the owner gives it a personal touch by coming by to suggest the special of the day!

The drinks were outstanding, as advertised. The server made excellent drink recommendations and knew the menu quite well. The food wasn't up to part with the drinks. It was good, but over priced and nothing left me feeling impressed. None of it was bad. Still I'd recommend going for the drinks. I had a fig manhattan. It was served with fig foam. Delicious.

Peche is a really special place with great food and one incredible bar. Our server, Eric, took top notch care of us while Mark at the bar made sure each of our drinks were prepared flawlessly. Even the owner stopped by more than once to make sure everything was perfect. We could not have asked for a nicer evening. We will definitely be back.

Peche specializes in per-prohibition style drinks and Absinthe. The wait staff seems very knowledgeable when it comes to suggesting a new drink to try. French cuisine prepared with fresh and local ingredients to the best of their ability. The house menu changes daily with the more classic brasserie style dishes available on the bar menu. Prices are fair, dinner for 2 can be done for a 50 dollar bill including the tip.

Good food, great cocktails. Service at "Sin" was very good. I asked a loy of questions, when our server didn't know the answer she foundout, quickly. The food was good with rare exception The mozzarella was actually tough and my risotto was not el dente as promised, at the sametime it wasn't overcooked either. It was good but could have been great. The cocktails are some of the best I have had. Maybe with the exception of the Velvet Tango Room in Cleveland and The Gin Joint in Charleston these ranked high.

more a bar than a restaurant, nevertheless this place has really good food, and is a great place to eat down town before the bar scene starts (about 9 the night we were there). Our table had the pork chop (great sauce, a little too well done), the scallops (wonderful), the duck (also great) and the seafood pasta. Starter salads were good, very fresh but a bit small...special drinks were great

The drinks were out of this world. They were to die for. Heaven in a glass! I never knew someone could make drinks so phenomenal. The food however, was very disappointing. I had the highest of expectations for the food, and it missed the mark completely. We ordered 4 different things between 2 of us and they were all less than impressive- suffice it to say, bad. We will be back for the drinks, and will give the food another shot, hoping it was just an off night.

Then you have your waiter who gets your order leaves for a very long time and when you flag him down he acts like your inconveniencing him. It would of been worth the cost if i had better customer service. Especially being the Director of First Impressions

I took my partner to Peche for her birthday. We came from Dallas mainly to eat at this delicious pearl of a restaurant. The chef, Jason, made us a phenomenal meal off menu that was simply the best I've ever had. The oxtail melted in our mouths, and the bouillabaisse was deeply flavorful with large sea scallops, shrimp, mussels and clams. The waiter, Eric, is a pro and kept us in water, wine and food. If you want to eat the best food and have a great foodie experience, I highly recommend Peche.
