Pechewell stocked bar specializingwell stocked bar specializing in absinth beverages and very knowledgeable wait staff6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for grown up foodiesLoved it! Perfect for date night. The drinks were well made but some may have been a little to out there. The food was fantastic! We has the cheese plate to start, homey comb was fun and tasty. The sorrel soup really well balanced and the flank steak was cooled perfect. Service was also great but the server was a little unsure of some oft questions, she did get me answers. Few places in Austin serve amazing food and peche is one of them.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant and barService goes along with the food-both are great! They take traditional country French and modernize without taking away the flavor and comfort. Beautifully presented. Service is helpful and attentive. Available without looming. My only con is a bit noisy from band next door and tables a bit crowded.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently AmazingVisit after visit, we have not had a poor experience. Food is awesome. Service is excellent.
Two small complaints:
1) the chairs/tables are poorly set up to manage traffic patterns. Patron and staff collisions galore - it's almost comedic.
2) proximity to Cedar Street can cause musical dissonance between what's playing next door and what's trying to be played inside.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love this placeOur second trip was as much fun as the first. Good food, great and interesting drinks. Engaged waitstaff. Will make it a regular stop when I am in Austin.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and drinksCharming place with an amazing cocktail list, well-priced dinner menu, and wonderful service. Very enjoyable experience and one of my favorite restaurants in Austin to date.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food and drinks.Delicious food and drinks. Service was great too. We thouroughly enjoyed our dining experience.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBetween the unique and refreshingBetween the unique and refreshing cocktails and the exquisitely prepared French cuisine I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with Peche.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere---loved theGreat atmosphere---loved the old brick walls and the high ceilings! We will definitely return!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMone of our favorites, greatone of our favorites, great line of cocktails, food always imaginative4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPeche is a nice, energeticPeche is a nice, energetic restaurant/bar with a focus on specialty drinks. The swordfish and the duck were excellent. The creme brulee was good, but the shortbread cookies tasted like they were smoked with the meat. The energy level of the restaurant is very high, with music coming through the walls from the open venue next door. Overall, it was a great experience with great food.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat findHad dinner with a friend here on a Monday night. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the ambiance cozy but vibrant.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food/impossible noise levelIt's a country french restaurant that focuses on fresh and local products. The noise level from the band next door made it impossible to focus on the food though. And we went on a Thursday night....I cannot conceive of what it must be like on a weekend night. Were it not for the noise, we would return.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall good food and knowledgeableOverall good food and knowledgeable service. Interesting concept focusing on excellent cocktails and very good food. Can't think of too many areas for improvement. It wasn't terribly crowded for our visit.....might be noisier when there's a good crowd.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
