Diner Reviews
  • "Whenever we come to Vegas, we like to try different quality restaurants each time. Usually, we vary the cuisine types each night, for variety. This trip we chose Pearl as our Asian restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance is very tranquil, the menu is extensive, the wait staff very attentive, and the food is top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and look forward to returning to Pearly on one of our next trips to Las Vegas."

  • "The decor is beautiful, the wait staff is outstanding, and the food is fantastic. Our cocktails were fabulous and unique, and the crispy garlic chicken was heaven. We'll be back to Pearl on our next trip to Vegas."

  • "We are locals and always celebrate our Birthdays and Anniversary at The Pearl ....... in addition to other non-event times to treat ourselves. We love the food and the staff are extraordinary. The staff knows how to balance quiet attention with privacy. The wine and sake list is extensive. It's our favorite restaurant on the strip (in the MGM Grand). You will not be disappointed!"

  • "A beautiful meal, wonderfully presented. Even the left overs were wonderful two days later. Great place for that delightfully oriental meal."

  • "Our server was rude and did not listen to guest's requests. He was not attentive or present. Also, they charged our credit card twice. Thankfully the food was good."

  • "One thing I've found about the MGM Grand restaurants such as L'Atlelier and CraftSteak Las Vegas, that despite the exceedingly high prices, the quality of food is consistently bland and average ... this place was no different. Would have been OK if I was at the mall and it was 30% less, but that's now what I would expect given it's location."

  • "The employees were friendly, the portions were very large, the food was good. Overall we enjoyed a good meal at a good restaurant, it met our expectations."

  • "If you want to take that special someone somewhere memorable, this is the place. We had the fillet. It was very good. What really sets this place apart though, is the ambience. The views of Las Vegas are noteworthy."

  • "Food was good, but nothing I'd go out of my way for, especially compared to so many other superb restaurants at the hotels on the strip."

  • "We really enjoyed the tasting menu. It was a great way to get many of the popular dishes. The biggest let down was the fried rice, it really lacked any flavor."

  • "Wanted to be at MGM for Fleetwood Mac and having been unable to get into first choice "settled" on Pearl.... So glad we did. Ordered the tasting menu, both the sweet and sour and corn soups Were delish .Entree was a trio of wonderfully flavored small lobster tail, tender thick cut pieces of of filet mignon and " not your neighborhood " general tso chicken all accompanied by fried rice. Dessert was an indulgent small chocolate raspberry cake tower , mousse like in texture. Loved it"

  • "One of the best meals we have had in Vegas, and we have had a lot. I got the chef's tasting menu which consisted of Hot/Sour soup, a sampling of general tso's chicken/spiney lobster tail/beef tenderloin, garden vegetable fried rice and a chocolate/banana cake. Husband had Dungeness Crab Spring Rolls and the Wok Fried Filet of Venison/Cantonese style, wok vegetables. We both LOVED everything that was served. If you are going to splurge, this is the place to do it."

  • "In a town with so many good Chinese restaurants don't get fooled. Being overpriced is automatic on the Strip, but at least have some standout food. I was disappointed with the food we had and have had much better at low key places. We had the lobster fried rice which was mediocre, beef &ginger which was too oily and walnut shrimp, which was confusing and may have gone better with yogurt and granola. I really tried to like this place, but my Maker's on the rocks was the hot of the night here."

  • "The subtle flavors of the food are notable. Each dish is delicate and careful, not attempting to be overpowering. Tasteful and refined Chinese cooking. And the service is attentive without being pushy."

  • "The people at PEARL were amazing! Very attentive to us the entire time, but gave us time to enjoy our meal without the usual checkup every 10 minutes. They would see our beverage low, instantly filled up. My guest decided to try the Chicken with Bitter Melon and Black Bean Sauce. The waiter informed him of the very bitter taste of the melon but described it's unique, strong flavor and health benefits of the melon. The waiter was very impressed that he still chose to order it and said only a handful of people have done so. I too tried it & it was the most unique tasting delicious dish! Yes it was bitter, yet tolerable and tasty. The ambiance is very chic and modern. When I come to Vegas, I will eat here again."

  • "We have been here number of times. The food is great! The crab spring rolls are crispy and light. The chilli sauce shrimp, the shrimp is plump and so good. Worth a try when you are in Vegas."

  • "Tried the sampler option (beef, chicken, lobster, soup and dessert). Hard to believe but the lobster and beef had little flavor. The chicken had an excellent sauce, the soup and dessert were very good."

  • "We tried the chefs tasting menu and it was well worth the price. Everything came out hot and fresh. It was the first time in a long time where our food was steaming hot but not the plates, ( a sign of reheating). The appetizers were wonderful and we would recommend the lettuce wrap and the honey glazed spare ribs. The shrimp and seafood chowder had a wonderful flavor and was not a creamy soup but was loaded with shrimp. The entrees were also excellent. We loved the spicy scallops and the peppered tenderloin. The vegetables and lobster fried rice were also fantastic. The trio of desserts were just the right amount. The service could not have been better."

  • "I come to this restaurant every time I'm in Las Vegas. It's one of the most consistent dining experiences around. I love the surf and turf seasonal menu and order it often, but I think I'm going to order the whole Peking duck next time. The table next to us had it and it looked delicious!!! The wine list is amazing and the service is beyond! I can't say enough good things about Pearl. You MUST go!!"

  • "We had an outstanding meal at Pearl at the MGM Grand. The food was incredible even if the service was a quite slow. We waiting 40+ minutes from the time we were seated until we received our appetizer. Once the food started to flow, it was awesome. We had a mixture of daily specials and items off the menu. We will definitely enjoy Pearl again when in Las Vegas."

  • "This is a perfectly presented example of what a restaurant should be. If you want quiet enjoyment and great attention, come here. If you want to check your phone, talk loudly with our half drunken friends or pretend you are the only ones on earth, please stay away from here and let others enjoy how wonderful it is. The food is unbelievably good, the service perfect, and the surroundings most relaxing."
