Pearl in the GroveFun Sunday brunchPearl in the Grove is a very quaint, fun place. The owners and staff are very personable, friendly, and very conscious about where the ingredients come from. The food is very wholesome, healthy, very delicious!! The bread is amazing!! We love going there, it is a treat! We look forward to the next visit.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday party success!I had scheduled a brunch for my father's 80th birthday. We had people coming in from out of town and out of the country. The Pearl did everything to take the stress off the event. I felt totally comfortable giving them a theme of southern comfort food and letting them do what they wanted. Everyone raved about the food, service and atmosphere. We were offered a choice of mimosa or iced tea as we mingled around before setteling in to eat which was an extremely nice touch. The Pearl served grits, biscuts and gravy, bacon and quiche. It sound like a simple menu but it was all made from scratch and it was phenominal!!
The staff was very patient as we stayed to chat. The food stopped all conversation except for "Pass me more"!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLove itWhat a great time. Love the location, food and everything about it. Worth the drive6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLittle GemPearl is a gem in the middle of no where. It is southern food with class. The pasta dish was good and my husband enjoyed the meatloaf. The menu is small, but they have many specials each day.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGetaway for 2My fiance' and I haven't been out much lately due to work schedules. It was an amazing evening for reconnecting with him. Delicious food and amazing wine all at a quaint "table for 2". An overdue evening made wonderful connections! :0) Our new little "get away" spot!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in the area restaurant! As always awesome food. We wished that more restaurants would support the local producers. Keep up the good work Pearl in the Grove! :-)6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was super. This wasThe food was super. This was our second trip and it was even better than the first. i plan on having fried chicken on the next trip i heard it was super based on my 10 person party. I can't imagine it any better than the pork belly and vegetables.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a Find! The Pearl has been on my list to try for a long time. I wasn't disappointed. We had reservations for a party of 4 and had excellent service. The boiled peanuts and chef's complimentary small appetizer were an excellent start to the evening. I had the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection. Another of our party had the steak; it was very good - just a bit on the smallish side for him. Overall the food was interesting and tasty. One of the desserts we shared was amazing: crepe with chocolate ice cream with some spice! I love the fact that things are locally sourced and the veggies are fresh. (I would love to see more fresh vegetables on the menu!) I will definitely return! Great value -- prices are very reasonable.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe evening was just lovely. The evening was just lovely. An incredible menu of the freshest food cooked to order.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI have never been disappointed!I have often invited guests to the Pearl in the Grove for dinner. Whether we have been a group of six or just two, there has never been any difference in the fare or the service. The staff makes you feel invited and genuinely aims to provide each guest with a dining experience. Everyone I have ever brought to the Pearl intends to return.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCulinary cozinessDo yourself and your friends a favor and drive out to Pearl In The Grove. The warm service, non-pretentious fare, and beautiful surroundings will leave you in a cozy food coma. Wanted to stay and chat all evening.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are lucky to have thisWe are lucky to have this restaurant in our small community5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMway too tasty! Not run of the millBrunch is a good experience. this is not for those who wish to stuff themselves at the ordinary buffet...This is for those who want local, fresh distinctive combinations prepare and served in peaceful surroundings by kind, friendly people. There are healthy cornmeal waffles, great burgers, Yukon fries to go to heaven for, amazing biscuits and their fried chicken is also sumptuous [i heard from my fellow diner]5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, limited brunch menuI have been to Pear in the Grove before during dinner time and was amazed by the food and menu selections. I was a little disappointed to attend during their Sunday brunch and find a very limited menu that included almost all breakfast items. Typically a brunch will include a few lunch items as well, but there was really only one.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA Gem! Truly a Pearl in the GroveThe experience really starts at the building itself which is a quaint "house" with splashes of country, a low-key delight. Pretty good wine list, not expensive but well chosen. You'll have a hard time deciding what to order. Do as much as you can. The service we had from Irene was a Five-Star experience. She's attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and super friendly. We were there on a slower evening so can't speak to busy periods and they can get busy. Don't let the location hold you back, go on a little adventure, sit back and enjoy.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!!The food was incredible! Down home cooking like you've never had. The roast beef was delicious. The family style dining on Sundays is fun -- they just bring out plates of food and you eat whatever you want. Since there are more than one choice on a plate, you can have a taste of several different things. Am definitely going there again. It's worth the drive!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went there for brunch onWe went there for brunch on a Sat .... and we had a great experience. Awesome local & fresh food. We're looking forward to go back for dinner next time.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery Time is a SurpriseThis is my third trip back to the "Pearl" and it is a pearl. Every meal has been well prepared with prompt friendly service. The menu selections are always a surprise based on what local produce is available. My sweet spot is the pork belly entrée, which is well worth ordering.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA rural surprise…We spend the winter in the Dade City area of Central Florida, and for fine dining we have always traveled into Tampa or over the Disney World. What a nice surprise to discover Pearl in the Grove. We must have driven by it hundreds of times, often saying we have to give it a try. We are so glad we finally did. The food is exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We visited on a Saturday evening. As we decided to make reservations late in the day, we were able to secure a 5:30 reservation — the next available was 7:30. By the time we left every table in the dining room was full.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is hard to find a localIt is hard to find a local restaurant in Florida with unique food and a spot on dining experience. The Pearl is not overly pretentious but has the the food to back it up if it wanted to be. Fresh, nice local ingredients highlight a meal that left us walking away making plans for our next visit. The staff were friendly and attentive and most importantly interested and involved in the experience and the food. Casual and friendly and moderately priced. The two of us enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine and we were not shy about our ordering so we ended up in the $150 range but suffered from absolutely NO diners' remorse....you could easily walk out satisfied for much less.
We are thrilled to live close to this great restaurant find.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMPearl in the Grove is alwaysPearl in the Grove is always a treat with their great regular menu and unique weekly specials. They strive to use all local meats,in season vegtables and fruits. Business casual dress and great staff. Enjoy an evening or brunch at this place. If will become your favorite place to go to.
You will pay a little more for this quality food. I highly recommend their Red Wine from France. Its a smooth, full bodied wine. Share a bottle with friends so all will get a taste and enjoy!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience every time.Great experience every time. Can't wait to go back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food for a fantasticFantastic food for a fantastic price. Great staff, wonderful environment. Our favorite spot - definetely is a Pearl in the Grove.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden Gem in Dade CityThis is a pearl in the grove! Uses fresh local ingredients. Owner/Chef and his staff were extremely friendly. Food was very good. Looking forward to a return visit. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA pricey treatVery unique eating experience located in a remote, scenic location. All entrees, mostly prepared with local organic ingredients, for our foursome extremely delicious and attractively plated. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable regarding preparation and ingredient sources for each entrée. She was extremely flexible in finding substitutions to please individual palates. However, be prepared to experience this gastronomic delight at a high price tag. I ordered the special rack of lamb and was shocked to see a $40 price tag on the bill. Salads and other meal accompaniments are all add-ons. Save this for the special occasion.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoy the restaurant. ItWe enjoy the restaurant. It small but enjoyable. For great homecooking this is the place. Food was good. The staff was very friendly, even the cook came to the table to say Hello.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGourmet Food in a remote location!Quite a lovely surprise! Had no idea you could find wonderful gourmet fresh food in such a remote location. Everything was delicious and true to their "farm to table" approach. We were a bit surprised at the price ($40 for Easter Brunch) but a la carte menu most likely is more affordable. No bloody mary's (no hard liquor license) but they do killer mimosas.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fresh food.Food was great. Very fresh. Service was fast & great. Only problem was we were meeting family here as it is a mid point between us. We wanted to talk. We told the guy serving dessert we wanted to wait after dinner but he kept coming back to the table every couple of minutes. We felt rushed. Other then that all was GREAT!We'll be back.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious adventureThe Pearl always has exceptional choices.it is a delicious adventure! Out of town guests or old friends will find it yummy, peaceful & not rushed.
The pork bellies are amazing. The local, fresh ingredients make everything
all the more remarkable.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMA bit out of the ordinaryA bit out of the ordinary and a refreshing change from the commercialized, often presumptuous, more formal restaurants that have become the norm. Food was quite good, ambiance was relaxed and pleasant, service was outstanding. Perhaps not suitable for all diners, but a gem for those that appreciate its simple, down to earth ambiance.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLee, Crystal River, Fl.Pearl In the Grove was reccomended to Me by a co worker. I decided to make the hour plus drive and take my wife there for her birthday dinner and to try something different than the normal chain restaurants. It was well worth the drive. The setting was nice, quiet, and romantic. It felt like we had our own private waitress, as she took the time to explain different items on the menu, how the dishes were prepared and how they bought local produce. Our dinner was great, we had a great evening out and are we will definately visit Pearl in the Grove again.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
