We had a nice private table with enough room for her to open her gifts which was nice. The food was excellent. I had a crab omelette, which was cooked perfectly. My mom had the crab cakes, and she really enjoyed them. The only down fall was that my mom ate a whole peppercorn which were in her potatoes. It kind of ruined the rest of her meal. But luckily that didn't happen until the end of the meal. We will definetly be returning. We started with the special starter, a soft herb and garlic cheese and crostini dish that was very good but also very small. For the price it coulpd have been a bit bigger. I had a rather new entree the rack of lamb. It was absolutely delicious and very tender. It was served on a bed of cheesy rissotto which wasn't such a good combination. The flavors didn't go together in my opinion. The people I was with enjoyed the duck and sea scallops and really loved the beet salad. I got the chicken pappardelle and it was creamy and earthy with all the mushrooms. Staff very professional and service was excellent. A surprise free birthday dessert was provided with forks for each of us to share. The two of use shared everything and our server plated each meal for both of us with perfect timing. Ever bite was delicious.
