  • "This restaurant completes the ride to the top of Mt. San Jacinto on the Tramway. The views are awesome, and the engineering of the Tram is unbelievable. The food portions were large, and well prepared."

  • "We were not impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. I got the filet and my mashed potatoes were cold, the steak lacked flavor etc etc... no one in our party was impressed with their meal for the $$$. Service was great."

  • "We booked this spot for dinner, celebrating our two year anniversary. The food was excellent! We each had a different entree and shared tastes, both items were delicious! The only down side is that spending over $100.00 on dinner, you should get a break on the tram ride. It was $40.00 for the tram ride just to have dinner. You get a break on the tram if you have the cafeteria style food."

  • "We arrived thinking we would have a beautiful dining experience, but first thing, we were seated fast, but after that down hill it went. After about 5 mins the server came to give us water that he spilled all over my menu and didnt say a word he just walked off. The he came with a bottle of Champaign on the house. When he arrived with that he poured it and put the bottle into an ice bucked, spilling i e all over the floor and our things under our table. The menu very small lack of choices made it hard to decide. My wife ordered the steak which had no flavor and my burger lacked flavor as well. We were almost the only two in the resturaunt. So being busy couldmt be an excuse. I don't know if i would ever recommend this restaurant to anyone."

  • "This restaurant is recommended only because of the location at the top of San Jacinto. Fun ride on the tram to get to and from the restaurant. You're probably better off simply eating in the cafeteria rather than the restaurant."

  • "Service was very slow - we waited 10 minutes to be given water and bread and another 10 for appetizer. Our meal was mediocre in flavor. I had the 14oz NY steak and it was tough - hard to cut. Overall - poor dining experience. The view was the only saving grace."

  • "It was clear at 5PM riding to the top in the tram. Dinner at the Peaks was a 6 and the zephyrs were swirling causing dust and glare to fill the horizon. We were at a table for 2 but only one seat had the view. Need to provide views for both to enjoy. The food was superb. I had meatloaf with mushroom gravy over mashed potatoes and a huge Greek salad. Seasoning had sage and the meatloaf was gourmet . My date had the brick chicken and the pepper sauce was scrumptious! As the light began to fade and the cities sparkled like diamonds in the sand. The setting was romantic and the moment magical. The rest of the night was up to me!"

  • "We arrived 10 minutes ahead of our reservation time. The girl working the front was: seating people, moving chairs, handing out menu's to recently seated guests, taking names for walk-in guests, and generally overwhelmed. We had to get her attention to tell her we were there and had reservations. She said she'd need to seat the walk-in's that were ahead of us first. After about 15 minutes we finally went back up to the front and reminded her that we had reservations, as we had seen her start to seat people who had come long after us. Eventually we were seated but sat there for several minutes watching others around us get served but we had no server. Turns out she had not 'lit" a button to tell the wait staff we were there. Unacceptable."

  • "I was very surprised at the scale of "fine dining" that Peak's ended up being. I've been to Palm Springs many times and had never gone up the tram. The view looked god on the website at nighttime so we decided to try and have dinner. I expected something simple and touristy. It was so much better. Very relaxing, excellent food and vey accommodating to kid dishes not on the children's menu. Highly recommend."

  • "The view and location are great. The food was only good. Not bad, but not outstanding given the location & the price point. Would go again for the experience of dining in the mountains."

  • "I did not eat at this restaurant. I had to leave Palm Springs before the 25th."

  • "Took family up the tram for sightseeing and brunch and the view was breathtaking. The staff was courteous and even seated us a bit early for our reservation. I strongly suggest making reservations especially for weekends when it can get crowded."

  • "The food was prepared well enough. I would have expected a better cut of beef for the price. the view is awesome. when we arrived they sat us at the top of a three tiered dining room with no lights on and it took awhile to get service. plus when the drinks and appetizers came instead of walking up the stairs to our table the server passed us things through the railing. we asked for things like refills and condiments that never came. all in all it was ok but the view of downtown palm springs lit up at night made it all worth it."

  • "My husband and I truly enjoyed our dinner. I couldn't possibly say enough about the great service we received. I set our expectations by letting our waiter know that we wanted to take our time. Joe took our entire order and then paced it so that we never felt rushed and were able to fully enjoy our evening out. He is asset to this restaurant. The food was very good - not excellent but very good. We loved the ambiance and the mix of rock, windows, and view. I would highly recommend Peaks for any special occasion or for just a nice night out."

  • "This is a nice place to eat when at the top of the tram. It is a little expensive but not exorbitantly so. We enjoyed it as a wrap up to our visit to the Palm Springs area."

  • "3 of us rode the tram up for a celebration dinner (tram is $20/pp additional) and from the moment we arrived at the restaurant it was all downhill from there. We had a reservation, the manager checked us in and 10-15 minutes later we were seated in an empty restaurant at a table for 2 with an extra chair added to the end between 2 other parties of 2. asked to be moved to the 4-top that was 3 tables away and open. Then began the food service. 1) asked for bread...brought us old rolls until the bread arrived 2) ask for water 3 times before they remembered to bring it to the table. Food was warm-cool when they brought it/ $100/pp. I would skip this place. We thought they should have comp'd us"

  • "Great views. Average food. We had SLOW service, a waiter that forgot to put in our order after our apps came, and my open table request of a candle for my husbands birthday was ignored. Wish our party of 7 would have eaten at the serve yourself grill next door."

  • "It's a incredible experience to ride the tram to the top of the mountain and see the sites of Palm Springs and SAlton Sea below. The view makes the trip worth it. The Peaks is a nice restaurant that is a little contrived but nice enough."
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "Service was a bit to be desired. Took a long time for a waiter to acknowledge us (party of 2) and did not come back but one time to see if we needed anything. Food is a little overpriced for the quality - at least on the lunch menu. Not sure would choose as a lunch option next time."

  • "We have dined at Peaks twice this year-once to celebrate my 60th birthday, once to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff at Peaks made both occasions very special. Everyone went out of their way to assure that we had a memorable event."

  • "Our corner table was well situated but was cold and poorly lit. Water dripped from the ceiling causing one guest to move his chair. The waiter did not offer a solution.to any of our concerns. The food selection was very good and nicely presented. The view was spectacular."

  • "We went here for our 28th anniversary and were delighted by everything. Not 1 thing to complain about. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the NY steak. 1/2 way thru our dinner we traded plates so we could taste each others food. It was excellent! For dessert we had the crème Brule which was gifted to us from the restaurant due to our anniversary. Will definitely return again."

  • "We asked for a table by a window in our reservation. Did not get one, did not complain assume restaurant doing as best they could. Service tried to be attentive, but whenever I needed something I had to flag down the busboy. Food was good, well presented and plentiful. When we arrived the restaurant was less than half full and had good ambiance, one the tables filled up, the noise level was more than I cared to deal with. So go early and have a quiet dinner."

  • "The view is spectacular and it is definitely worth making a reservation -- even for lunch. Very attentive service, willing to bend the menu. Nothing was spectacular but I enjoyed my salad and pasta Parisian very much. Definitely more fun than a French sip from the snack bar."

  • "Awesome food as well as service. The views are to die for. They give large portions so strap on the feedbag and most definitely your camera."

  • "The view obviously is terrific at the top of the tram. The food is lovely and delicious. But the service reminds you that you are eating in a state park restaurant - young, eager, inexperienced, fumbling. One look into their eyes and you can see that they are trying to remember all those training sessions. Not to worry, since great food in a state park is a pleasant surprise."

  • "Staff were very friendly and escorted us to "their best table" which had a great view of the valley. The wine selection was good and the menu, although short, had selections that should satisfy most people. We had the salmon and the NY steak and both were excellent. Good ambience as the restaurant seems to stay fairly quiet and easily allows for normal conversation. A Nice Place!"

  • "What a beautiful restaurant and staff. The view is incredible. You can never take enough pictures. The menu was a short selection, but the food was excellent. The strawberry cheesecake was fantastic, we picked up another slice the following day ;-) The wedge salad was sooooo... good; a must have. Our family always go to Palm Springs, but they have never went up the aerial tram to Peaks restaurant, but they said they all will now :-) This is another great restaurant that we have fallen in love with. Next restaurant review will be from Greece, Kristin said ;-) and I agree!"

  • "Recommend it to anyone. Exhilarating ride up and down, the outstanding views, good food and the feeling of being in a different world altogether. You see people in climbing gear, to casual hikers with kids, to couples dressed for fine dining. Offers great outdoor experience which you can end in a pleasant way at the Peaks restaurant"

  • "This was our first time up the mountain. We hiked all afternoon and were looking forward to our 5:00 reservation to relax and enjoy the sunset then lights coming on in the valley below. The Peaks restaurant more than exceeded our expectations. From the fine food and friendly staff to the wonderful view this was a very, very nice surprise."

So we brought our cousins from Virginia to see the beautiful view and had dinner...it was wonderful! The food was excellent...we would definitely recommend Peaks."
