Sometime about 1870, the Peacock family looked for the perfect spot to plant their roots. They discovered it in what came to be the village of Coconut Grove. Now, nearly 130 years later, we"re planting a verdant tropical garden on this very ground. The Peacock Garden Cafe is our vision of the… quintessential Coconut Grove restaurant. "We were a very large group (17) and the service wasn't amazing but that was to be understood. They tried to accommodate us as much as possible. A lot of the plates were very good and others just okay. The desserts are heavenly! And of course, the ambiance is just lovely!"

"I have had good experiences at The Peacock Garden Cafe before. We went on my birthday and things went wrong from the very start. We had 3 different waiters. They forgot food orders. I ordered a meduim rare steak which was served very rare. When they returned it is was cold and just bland. They added gratuity for a table of 3. Sort of an off night."

"Our first waiter was unconscious. He never came to the table. We couldnt get ketchup for my youngest son's hamburger and fries until we were able to get a young girl's attention. Thankfully, she took over our table. She was great and attentive and an excellent waitress. We had ordered the special fish with risotto. The corvina was dry, and poorly seasoned. The risotto was not good either. Truthfully, it was hard to eat. When asked how it was.. we told the truth. She took it back and offered us other dishes. My son ordered the salmon with noodles. The Salmon was very over cooked and dry and the noodles were swimming in oil. Ugh. Overall, food is "eh" at best...Sangria though is delicious!! good atmosphere."

"this was a romantic spot for dinner. limited food selection but the items on the menu were very good .
only disappointment was 2 of the wines we selected were not available.
