First time eating here and likely last. Got a "summer vegetable" pasta that tasted like it was fixed with frozen veggies and could have been served anytime of year. At least the bottle of wine was half price and the service was good.

Nice place for a more formal brunch atmosphere. Food was really good but very expensive for eggs ($70 for two people for eggs and a mimosa each). If you are looking for easy affordable brunch definitely go elsewhere.

Have been here before, has a very good brunch and lunch selection, very friendly. It is also obvious that it is a neighborhood "gem" in a sense that a lot of the customers are repeaters from Georgetown. This attests to the good quality of the restaurant.

Avoid this place! The food is definitely not worth the price you will pay. We ordered three main dishes for $25 each and we received plates the size of appetizers. Also, the food is mediocre at best. Beware!

Delicious meal with varied menu. Loved the option that brunch was served until 4pm! Service was a bit slow but given that it was a Sunday, servers were most likely extended. Attention to cleanliness of table would have been helpful as we were seated outside. A nice pleasant dining experience.

Seated outside for an early evening meal was great. Creative menu with lots of options. Fairly attentive, smiling service. All entrees were well presented and tasty (wedge salad; beat salad; turkey and veggie burgers. Great accompanying wine (St. Francis). Will return!

While the food was ok, the service was terrible. Though not terribly crowded, our server left menus and then spent about 15 minutes chatting with her friends at the hostess station. We had to flag a busboy to get our waitress to take our order. She never came back to us after that.

My boyfriend and I came to Peacock Cafe before a comedy show and had a fabulous time. The menu was varied and both of our entrees were delicious. We shared the carrot cake for dessert, and although the cake itself was a little dry for my taste, the cinnamon ice cream, and strawberry and fresh whipped cream which accompanied it were fantastic and more than made up for it.

It was my friend and I's first time dining here (brunch). I had arrived first; my friend came shortly thereafter (5 minutes later). I asked to be seated first, and the hostess denied my request, as my friend hadn't arrived. Food was mediocre, and service could've definitely been better. I had ordered their most expensive brunch item: open face egg whites omelette w saffron stewed tomatoes & jumbo lump crabmeat, topped w smoked salmon and caviar; my friend, the corned beef hash. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't anything amazing-- certainly not for that price tag. As a foodie, I've brunched at various restaurants in DC-- there is far better quality food and service elsewhere.

The main weakness at the Peacock Cafe is the food. The "lump meat crab cakes" were not lump meat but a shredded white substance that may or may not have been crab. Not a single lump could be found. The cakes were then over cooked to the point of a hard crust on one side and were tasteless. The fillet of fish special was warm not hot and contained unappetizing dark meat rather than the desired white flakey meat. The wine by the glass had to be sent back as it was clearly from a bottle that had opened days before. Noise level makes conversation difficult.

The menu is amazing. There were so many great choices, it was difficult to decide what to eat. The service is very good! I admire restaurants that don't rush you and don't clear anyone's dishes until everyone in the party is finished eating their food. Excellent and healthy juices and smoothies are a must!

A diverse menu, even at brunch, will meet the needs of breakfast lovers or lunch lovers! One page of fruity, healthy smoothies tempts you right away with a great way to kick off a meal. If you prefer wine or a morning cocktail, they have that too! The Blueberry Island smoothie was perfect for me. We had the smoked salmon benedict, which was actually served on a bit of baguette or roll instead of the usual english muffin...loved it! Eggs were cooked perfectly and it was served with their beautiful shoestring fries that everyone craves. I had the salmon patty on a green salad with a light citrus dressing and red quinoa that hit the spot with me. It was served with two housemade crostinis. The salmon patty was delicious and a generous size.
