Peacock Alley - Waldorf Astoria New YorkSpecial PlaceThe brunch at this restaurant is very very special. We had a wonderful time. The food was exceptional.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingWent for Sunday Brunch and exceeded our expectations. Unbelievable quality food selection. Lobsters, crab legs, raw oysters on the half shell with a shucking station. Waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. You are literally sitting in the lobby of this grand old hotel. Bartenders are old school and knew exactly what a sazerac and Pimm';s cup were. All in all, one of our best brunch experiences. Worth every penny.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBit pricey but we knew aheadBit pricey but we knew ahead of time for the small plates we did pre theatre. Service from all staff very attentive and friendly. Good people watching table.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but too priceyGreat selection of cold dishes including a variety of smoked salmon, oysters, lobsters, clams etc. We also loved egg benedicts and macaron.. A bit too pricey for brunch, so more fit for special occasions.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing assortment of foodAmazing assortment of food choices, presented beautifully. We were only surprised that given the price and location we could not get any alcohol. I thought a Mimosa or Bloody Mary was pretty much routine at a brunch. Still, this was excellent for a special occasion or a very hungry person!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchThis was my first time having Mother's Day here and I would recommend it highly. Although a little pricy, the food and the service is well worth the money.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPremier brunch spot in New YorkThe perfect place for that special occasion
It may seem expensive but the mix of elegance
ambience - service and quality buffet places this
experience above any other in New York for Sunday Brunch5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFor a special occasion...Peacock Alley has a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate a special occasion. The food is plentiful and fresh--nothing creative--just simple, high quality selections. Lobster, shrimp, a raw bar and sushi selections accompany traditional breakfast and lunch menu items. The dessert bar is nothing short of fabulous. The staff is attentive but not overbearing. However, the brunch is exorbitantly priced and doesn't lend itself to a "regular" Sunday brunch. It's great for a special celebration but get ready for a bigggg bill!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMClear costIn general we were very satisfied with the Brunch and the ambience. For us it was something we will remember in the future as a positive memory.
However, as a tourist I think that it should be more clear with the cost and charge in total. When I booked the Brunch on the net via Open Table the charge was 145$ per person, 290$ total, for many people, me included, it is a lot of money. When I paid the bill at Waldorf the cost was 370$ for me and my daugther not 290$ as I expected due to service charge and tax was not included when I made the resevation.
Best Regards
