  • "We have not been here in many years. We used to frequent the place before having kids and it was one of our favorites. We were very shocked to see a significant difference in the menu since our last visit. The menu is much more limiting and some of the flavor combinations presented seemed odd to everyone in our party...we actually had a hard time choosing what to select (in a bad way). The food, once arrived was very good. We all selected either the risotto or the steak...safe choices. The salads and appetizers were all very good and the wine list was quite nice. I give the food three stars due to what our party considered a limited menu. As I said, the food that we did have and the service were excellent."

  • "I returned to Pazzo after a 20-year hiatus and I was a bit disappointed. I remember elegant, flavor-popping food and what I got was pretty run of the mill. I ordered the menestre to start and it was a good soup but, as my husband said, it was "just a bunch of vegetables boiled beyond recognition". I thought it was tasty, but there was really nothing special about it. My main course was a wild mushroom risotto, which was also a solid dish (if a little watery and slightly on the bland side), but again, nothing to write home about. My husband did a little better with the Caesar salad to start (which was nice and fresh, with just the right amount of garlic) followed by the gnocchi with wild boar ragu (which was too tomatoey for my taste)."

  • "Pazzo is in my top 10 dining of all time. From the food to the staff everything was Top Notch. We dined 2 nights in a row the 1st night we had Pizza which was great. But after watching all the other plates go by for other diners we just had to comeback for more. We truly enjoyed dinnig at Pazzo. Keep up the great service and food. See you next time"

  • "Pazzo's has a wonderful staff. They are kind, attentive and helpful. We did not feel rushed. Initially, we were seated in the back near large group tables so we asked to be seated elsewhere. The staff was very understanding and kind and we were seated at a table that we liked. The food was wonderful; generous portion sizes with a surprising amount of seafood for both entrees. The wine list is substantial and the dessert was decadent. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. We will be back again sometime."

  • "My family and I visited Portland for the first time this past weekend. Of all the meals we had, our dinner at Pazzo Ristorante was the best! The Portland Dining Month 3 courses for $29 special was such a great value. For starters, my husband had the Natalino (Caesar salad) and I had the zuppa (seafood chowder). These dishes could have been meals on their own as they were generously portioned and equally tasty. My entrée was the seafood risotto and my husband's was the Maiale, a pork striploin. Two thumbs up to these dishes as well. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the olive oil gelato. Again, generous in size and oh so good. If we live locally, Pazzo Ristorante would be our go to restaurant for fine dining!"

Specifically, the pork loin was dry and without sauce, the cauliflower that was served with it was uninspiring. The salad was great and my husband enjoyed his cioppino. The semifreddo dessert resembled something you would buy in the frozen food section of your local grocery."

The seafood cioppinno was tasty with layers of flavor. We were not impressed by the risotto of the day which was small in portion and served with a strange thick liquid. We did not try the dessert, maybe next time."

  • "I have been trying to get my whole family to come in for dinner here at Pazzo, because the service is always on-point, the food is always mind-blowing, and the atmosphere is perfect and lively. We came for my 24th birthday dinner and had the pleasure of enjoying come ceviche as a starter accompanied by their delicious bread, ordered up some of the bars craft cocktails, and eagerly awaited our dinner. The aromas of the Risotto, Marlin, Chicken, and Steak filled the air as we all laughed and relaxed while enjoying one another's company and could not have imagined a better place to do so! Thank you for making our evening together a great one!"

She provided excellent service while keeping enough space to allow us to enjoy are dinner together. My wife was supposed to receive a free glass of wine but we were charged.   • "Overpriced food. Waitress was distracted every time she spoke with us. We felt there was something important going on somewhere else that kept her looking at another table while talking to us. Too many people asked us if the food was "wonderful" as they quickly came by our table. We felt as if they were putting answers in our mouth for us. The food was nothing exceptional. It was not a genuine experience. We would not recommend this restaurant to any of our friends."

  • "We dined here before heading out to a show at the Rose Garden. Food was nice -- two pasta dishes, plus salads and wine, plus cocktails. The wait staff was attentive. Food was of good temperature and taste. The noise level is a bit loud, but the room was full, so no big deal. This is good Italian food at a good price in the Broadway area."

  • "My hubby and I had dinner here Friday night and had a fabulous experience! The waiter was efficient and funny. The chef came out to apologize as he had over cooked my hubby's duck. Brought over some meat and cheese to tide us over. When the meal came out we were delighted! Duck was perfect and the cioppino was fabulous! We chatted up with the manager. You can tell he loves his job! Plenty of gluten free options!"
