We wanted to drink our wine and relax a bit. 3 minutes after we ordered our meal the main dish was served. Food was great. So if you want a great meal in a hurry, try PAZZO.. Absolutely the best veal & italian sausage with brocollini & sweet onlions in a wondrful sauce served with a really thick papadelli pasta. Delicious!!!! My Husband had their Veal Marsella, he could not stop raving about it. We tried several of their mini appitizers and both the artichoke one and the mozarella/tomatoe were very flavorful. Desserts were to die for.
Molten chocolate cake with ice cream and sauce and peanut butter & chocolate squares.....heaven on a dish. The wine menu has a lovely selection to choose from. We had dinner outside in a shaded, cool, street side area, that was quiet even though there were cars on the street. The waiter was very knowledgeable and personable. The pasta was fresh, and the kitchen added some favorite items to the dish I had ordered with no hassle whatsoever. The four of us uniformly praised the dinner and wine. All the pasta is great. My special favorite comes with clams and white sauce. One version is an app and another is the entree. Also delicious is chicken parm with a twist. It is not revealing enough to say that the Italian cooking at Pazzo is excellent, savory, or delicious. It is just as critical to note that preparation "rings true" to what would have been experienced at home were one's mother in the kitchen.
The pasta pomodoro I chose was aptly entitled "maccharon con polpette"--pasta and meatballs to the unwashed. This classic Italian favorite, however, was extremely reminiscent of the "old world" pomodoros that are typically associated with peasants who threw together a combination of available (but FRESH) ingredients to prepare a dish whose aroma and taste would entice the bark off a tree. It was very busy since it was March, it took a little while for our waiter to get back to us but he was moving as quickly as he could! I think all of the servers were overwhelmed and trying to do their best.
The food was superb, as was the wine. The room was warm and inviting and everyone was very friendly. I had the Papardelle Bolognese, which was out of this world. My sister had linguini with jalapeño and crab, also great. My mom had Veal Marsala and it was
