Pazzaluna Urban Italian Restaurant & BarExcellent!Service impeccable from the bartender to our waiter. Food was excellent! Couldn't have asked for a better birthday celebration!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPlay and Pazzulna Perfection! It was a perfect end to a fabuoous show at the Ordway . . . The Buddy Holly Story. It was late, so not very busy. The rabbit and seafood linguine were excellent!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was amazing. ServerThe service was amazing. Server was very knowledgeable in the wines. Offered what he thought were great food choices. Very energetic atmosphere. The service was very timely as we had a show to attend afterwards. Excited to return to try all sorts of amazing looking dishes. Had the walleye with squash risotto. Delicious.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPazzaluna is still our favoritePazzaluna is still our favorite restaurant in Saint Paul. My wife wishes they would bring back her favorite mushroom/truffle/polenta dish, but we are still happy every time we eat here.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulWonderful place to celebrate. Exceptionally perfect service, be sure to request server Rachelle!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite PlaceThis is one of our favorite destinations. We use it mainly for celebrations.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, hot foodWe were greeted in a prompt, friendly manner and shown to our table quickly. I had the walleye, which was the best walleye dish I have ever had (I say that as a native Minnesotan). My wife had the lasagna, which she indicated was very good. We also had dessert, which included pink grapefruit gelato (mine) and a pecan pie (hers), both of which were best-of-breed. Our server was prompt, courteous and friendly too. For us, this was a great dining experience and we'll definitely come back.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!Food was great. We went here before going to the Ordway. Make sure you have at least an hour to eat, otherwise you won't have time for desert!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGood, but not greatWe have been to Pazzaluna perhaps 10 times, so we obviously like it. This time, we decided to order something different from what we usually do, and were a bit disappointed. My husband had the sea bass, and I had the chicken saltimbocca. Both were less than memorable. The sea bass was not very flavorful, and the chicken was overdone and tough. Our waitress, Carrie was tremendous, however.
I normally order the saffron chicken risotto and have never been disappointed. My husband normally has good luck with fish. Overall, Pazzaluna is quite good, but a bit hit or miss depending on the entree you order.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation partyOur grandson chose this for his graduation dinner after having been there prom night. We arrived early, and when it appeared that our table wouldn't be ready in time, we were offered a large booth in the back. This was much better for our group of six; we just exchanged the two backless stools for others with backs. We were comfortable, and it was much quieter in the back. Food was delicious: the salmon was moist and tender, the pizza was a thin crust version, and pasta portions were large enough to satisfy the two teenage boys. The pecan pie was scrumptious and more than large enough to share. Service was efficient; although they knew we were sharing dishes and we had to ask for an extra dish with each course.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayI celebrated my Birthday and it was go great to get a free bottle of wine! That was unexpected. We loved our food. It was fabulous. It has been every time we have dined there.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOn a Monday evening, the restaurantOn a Monday evening, the restaurant was bustling with a mostly downtown business crowd, including a few groups at large tables, so definitely make reservations. The service was friendly, quick and responsive but not hurried. The entrees are mostly interesting pasta dishes, but I had the salmon with orzo which was cooked medium rare and the taste was excellent. I'd also recommend the beet salad.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMTastyGreat appetizers and food. The polenta fries are a must, super tasty and piping hot. They take pride in the food they create.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for gluten freePazzaluna has an extensive gluten free menu that goes well beyond a hamburger without a bun. This is a restaurant that really understands. I did not feel like I was asking for anything special or that I was inconveniencing the staff. A very enjoyable experience!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful evening at pazzalunaMy wife and I have dined at pazzaluna before and it never fails to impress. This time we arrived early for our 7:30 reservation and sat at the bar where we had first class service. We had some appetizers there and before we knew it, 7:30 had rolled around. We were seated almost immediately and again, service was exemplary. The food was excellent and it was quiet enough in one of the large booths that even though we were in a very high traffic area, it still seemed private and intimate.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat way to celebrate! My husband and I really enjoyed your large menu selection of traditional and unexpected items. We came to celebrate a career milestone for me, and we were not disappointed!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVery romantic and modern!Excellent food and perfect size portions. Cool anti-pasta bar too!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PickI was to pick a place for my daughter & her teen friends to dress up & go out to dinner for her B-day. They Loved it there, Thank You!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpected PleasureThis was our first time at Pazzaluna. We had no idea what to expect, but we weren't disappointed. Beautiful place with very high ceilings and huge windows. The food was wonderful, the service fast, discreet, and efficient. NOT the place to go if you are short of money, but most definitely a destination if you don't mind spending more because you feel it's worth every penny. We asked someone to recommend a wine. Her choice was perfect.
Valet service adds an additional touch of elegance; no need to worry about where to park! It's taken care of for you. Go, and have a great time.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent service

valet parking is expensive but a nice touch5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest restaurant in the TwinBest restaurant in the Twin Cities - what else do I need to say.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Dining ExperienceMy friend and I went to Pazzaluna for the first time this week. It has a great, upscale ambiance, attentive wait-staff and delicious Italian food, for very reasonable prices. I would definitely go to this restaurant again or recommend it to others, especially for a date night or more formal dinner out. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see either the mural or the open kitchen that I'd heard about when looking at online reviews, so I might ask to be seated closer to one or the other next time.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Quality DiningMy parents spent 40 hours flying to come attend my graduation in the twin cities. The meal at Pazzaluna was their first meal in the US, couldn't have gone any better! Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had Mothers Day brunchWe had Mothers Day brunch at Pazzaluna and it was outstanding! The consensus at our table was that it was the best brunch that any of us had ever been to! Great service, wonderful food, and a beautiful atmosphere... We'll be back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was an all over excellentIt was an all over excellent dining experience. The food reminded me of Italy. The risotto was creamy and delicious. They earned our repeat business.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food, excellent serviceA wonderful dinner at a reasonable price. My wife ad I had a comfortable table by the window that was serviced by a skilled and attentive waiter. Loved the beet salad starter. We each chose 1/2 portion pasta entries that left room for deserts (creme brulee and pecan pie, the latter large enough to be a meal on its own). The restaurant was appropriately noisy but, surprisingly, conversations from neighboring tables were lost in the overall energy. Recommended!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, but harried pre-OrdwayThis is one of my favorite restaurants in the TC, but I have to admit that it has a louder and crazier atmosphere prior to a show at the Ordway. It's a gem, but opt for a reservation time of 7:00 PM or later those nights, and you will enjoy it all the more!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great dinnerOutstanding service, very good food and wonderful ambiance. A very popular gem of a restaurant in downtown St. Paul. A great special occasion restaurant.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptionalFood was amazing. don't know how they get tomatoes that ripe and delicious! Rosie provided excellent service. and the fellow who brought the water must have filled my glass 10 times. Thank you for a very pleasant dining experience.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food, serviceOutstanding food, service and atmosphere. We will eat here every time we are in downtown St. Paul.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday FunWe had a Great time! I was not happy with my first choice that I ordered and our waitstaff offered to get me something else. I did re- offer and really enjoyed this choice. So wonderful. Love going here.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for PromHad a reservation for 7:30pm, prom started at 8pm. We were seated very quickly, (7:40) and the service was quick. We were done with dessert by 8:15pm. Good service, and very prompt on such a busy night. Would gladly go here again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMexceptionalWe were told on the phone when the restaurant called to confirm the reservation (which is annoying) that table 56 would be available. When we arrived (at dining room opening) it was taken for a group reservation. How does this happen? Regarding everything else: finally, a perfect Twin Cities dining experience! Rachelle is an exceptional server. Every morsel of food and every sip of beverage was perfection. This has not happened anywhere in a very long time in the Twin Cities. It was a memorable evening in every way. Congrats, Pazzaluna (except for the table snafu).5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently Good FoodWe had a get together with three other couples and we were seated in the area near the kitchen which made it very difficult for us to hear one another, however, the food was very good - everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Our waiter was helpful, but not overly friendly which is fine for me. There's a nice energy in the bar area with nice views of the sidewalk and streets. Overall, we enjoy Pazzaluna and will be back, but hopefully in a less noisy space.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat family dinnerMy son selected Pazzaluna for his 16th birthday family dinner. It met all of our expectations for a nice family dinner. Great food, reasonable prices, family friendly ambiance and outstanding service.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place. Go there everyGreat place. The reisling wine I ordered was like drinking liquid gold - I believe my server called it the Columbian Reisling. The spinach salad was also wonderful as was Gelato for dessert.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy boyfriend and I went thereMy boyfriend and I went there for our Prom dinner, and we were quite please with everything. Excellent service. Food was exceptional. A bit pricey but was worth it. Beautiful setting. Located within walking of the Ordway.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPazzalunaGetting to be a little too noisy for me, but the food is so good, I'll ignore that! Wish you could muffle the noise just a bit!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant's reservationThe restaurant's reservation staff was very accommodating as the size of our group shifted from 4 to 10 to 8 as people clarified their schedules! Wait staff members were carefully attentive to our group's serving needs and desire for conversation time, neither being too distant at any moment or interrupting by being over solicitous. I was very glad that I had chosen Pazzaluna for this dinner meeting.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPazzaluna is always good.Pazzaluna is always good. We like coming here very much. The service is always very good.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur food was very slow inOur food was very slow in coming, over an hour, but very good when it arrived. The solicitousness of our service helped overcome the slow food delivery, but we did have to rush a bit to get to the opera on time.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat can I say ... as nearWhat can I say ... as near to perfection as possible. My favorite carpaccio anywhere. Lovely wine list. Attentive service that doesn't hover.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy date had the veal medalionsMy date had the veal medalions and I had the Mediterranean sea bass. Both were delightful and the service was outstanding.
