PazoAccomodating and Good FoodThe tapas selection was wonderful and our waiter helpful in selection from the menu. Ability to order 3oz glass of wine enable us to order a red and white wine to compliment our food selections.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial occasionWe were treated great! The food and service was excellent! We ordered the chefs choice , relaxed ,and enjoyed each course. Service was very friendly and accommodating . Definitely recommend Pazo for a night out.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect choiceWe were in town to celebrate a graduation and had a party of 7 people who didn't know each other well. One person needed gluten free and one was a very light and rather "picky" eater. Being able to choose from a variety of delicious tapas brought everyone together in conversation and made everyone happy. Everything was delicious. The swordfish, the grilled mushrooms, the lamb chop, the ceviche, the mushrooms, the broccoli... Our server was helpful and attentive. They even honored our "graduate" with a complementary glass of sparkling wine. We will certainly go again.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOh no! A buffet!!When I made the reservation several weeks back, I didn't realize it would be Mother's Day and wasn't pleased to learn the day before that the only service would be a buffet. With no alternatives were available we went, fearing the dreaded steam table. What a surprise! An elaborate menu outlined what was available Dishes were served next to the kitchen with servers at intervals helping to serve and explaining the offerings. I took a few items at a time in order to savor them. The foods were regularly replenished and stayed hot. It turned out to be a wonderful way to sample many of this fine restaurant's offerings. The service was gracious and the setting a delight with appropriate and not overly loud music playing. We can't wait to return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOver priced buffetThe service at Pazo was terrific, 3-4 good looking men tended to us. One was able to provide me with a nice glass of wine after I explained to him what I liked in my wine. My husband and I are not big eaters, we do not care for buffets but prefer a smaller plate with excellent flavors. We came for the Mother's Day buffet. Neither of us ate $45 worth of food at the buffet. Maybe we'll try again when we can select our meal from the menu.
We are disappointed with the ridiculously high priced dinners we've had at a number of Harbor East restaurants. To attract people from outside of the city it would seem wiser to be more reasonable with pricing, people driving into the city also pay for parking.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMStill great!I'm not sure how Pazo has managed to maintain its vibe for so many years, but it has. Ambience, food, drink, and service all remain top-notch. Unmatched in Baltimore.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around an excellent placeAll around an excellent place to dine! I can see why the prices are the way they are.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSpotPazo's was an excellent choice! Great food. Great service and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Will return soon.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPazoMy wife thought the ravioli was excellent. The hangar steak was cooked to perfection. Made our reservation through open table 1 hr out and had no wait time once we made it there. Staff did an excellent job as well. Absolutely going back.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll Be Back!We loved everything about this restaurant. It may be a little expensive if you go for the Tapas as we did, however, it is great trying all the different dishes wish were all prepared uniquely and very delicious.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood and Bad at PazoI was somewhat insulted that initially the host tried to sit us at a table where our view of the restaurant was blocked behind a DJ station - after asking for another table, we were seated elsewhere. The ambiance and decor are very nice and part of what you pay for, so I wouldn't want to be stuck in a corner with no view. The service was excellent. The food was good- however, I do not think the entrees are worth the price. 4 scallops and a mushy, cold artichoke flan (also fairly flavorless) do not warrant a $32 price tag. The pizzas, on the other hand, are fantastic and priced right. Go for the small plates or pizzas and steer clear of the entrees and you will not be disappointed.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOne person in our party wasOne person in our party was vegan. Pazo went all out in creating a vegan dish for her5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMService to Die For!We decided to head to PAZO for an early Sunday dinner. The valet was courteous and we were greeted immediately upon entering. The venue was pretty empty and did not get crowded at all during the entire meal, which allowed for a nice ambiance with the music in the background.
Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and was vivid and accurate in his descriptions of the items. Their servers are highly attentive to detail and we did not have to look around once to get their attention, nor did we feel rushed or that they interrupted us. The food was phenomenal! We ordered the Tapas, our waiter made us aware of the size of the portions so we knew what to expect. I do not have one complaint and will definitely be going back.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food / Good ServiceMy husband and I ordered from the Tapas menu. Everything sounded sooo good. We finally ordered Tuna Tartare, Goat Cheese Empanadas, & Wood Grilled mushrooms. We were not dissappointed. Service was outstanding. Will return on our next trip to Baltimore.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMPazo puts it all togetherThe venue is wonderful -- an indoor space that is at once open, airy, warm and comfortable. The staff is incredibly open, friendly, engaging and efficient. The sommelier, at our request, picked out reasonably priced and wonderful wines to complement the variety of foods in the fixed menu tapas selection that four of us chose to share. This is the restaurant experience done right -- and Tony Foreman, arguably the foremost restauranteur in the area, stopped by our table to ensure everything was to our liking. It certainly was - a memorable dining experience.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best restaurant for businessThe best restaurant for business to casual dining. Good for dates as well!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLooking forward to my next trip....From start to finishe, we enjoyed our experience at Pazo. The cocktails are absolutely delicious. We had a combination of hot and cold tapas, and ordered repeats as we went on because certain items were too good to just have one. Notably, their version of the slider was amazing - on a toasted roll which just made the dish. Other spectacular items were the fried artichokes, the scallops, and the tuna tartare. I don't recall the restaurant ever providing a warm bread basket, but I am certainly glad they did. For dessert, we tried the Heath bar, which looked small, but was absolutely perfect.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place, consistentlyLove this place, consistently good food and great cocktails. The prix fixe dinner options with the wine pairings are terrific.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful as always. ThisWonderful as always. This is my number one choice for out of town guests.....they love the old building and the great food.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great experienceWe had a great experience at Pazo. The staff was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable, and they couldn't do enough to make our visit amazing. The food was also spectacular! We will be back again!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server was very helpfulOur server was very helpful in recommending a variety of tapas dishes and made sure that we were familiar with appropriate terminology. The food was excellent and was delivered at a nice pace.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great and ambienceFood was great and ambience was outstanding. Wait staff was pushy about how to order. Offered complimentary drink but then we had to ask them later to remove it from bill. Excellent food and vibe was great. Wine list was outstanding. OverAll a wonderful night out. Would recommend to a friend.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't believe the hype.Great presentation of food. Great ambiance. Hardly worth the price. Pass on this hot spot.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing date night findChose Pazo for a late date night dinner with my husband. We'd never heard of it, but figured we'd give it a try. I have to say we were extremely pleased with our choice. The food was wonderful, the service great, and the ambiance was amazing. I will definitely go back and recommend to my friends and family!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful food, understatedwonderful food, understated but attentive service, knowledgable server. A special place which I would recommend without reservation.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the tapas! Another greatLove the tapas! Another great Wolfe/Foreman collaboration. Can get pricey but truly a unique experience for Baltimore.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and the service wasThe food and the service was excellent. The atmosphere made for a perfect "Date Night". We would love to go back again.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPazo April 2013I had friends in town from Chicago looking at apartments, and I wanted to take them out to somewhere nice. One is a vegetarian, so I immediately thought of Pazo because I have been there multiple times before, and knew that many of the tapas are veggie-friendly. The wait staff was pleasant and always available with a knowledgeable suggestion. My friends thought the place was trendy and that the food was delicious. The wine that was suggested for the table was excellent, too! We got to the restaurant at 7:00, while it still had a somewhat casual, daytime vibe. The later it got, the louder the music, but I knew to expect that and warned them. All in all a pleasant dining experience!!!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was great, as usual. IIt was great, as usual. I had indicated that it was for my husband's birthday, and we were treated very well (but this is always so).
I was glad we had the flashlight app on the phone, as it is pretty dark to read the menu, but we came prepared!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAsk for ColinGreat cocktails at the bar! A bit pricey, but a very good quality meal. Ask for COLIN when making your reservation. Hands down, the best waiter I have had in years!!!!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. we had theExcellent food. we had the lamb duo (chop & sausage ) and it was very tasty. As always the service is superb. Other restaurants should study how the front end of Pazo works and emulate them.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for what everGreat place for what ever your in the mood for. You can have a full meal or just light tapas if the mood strikes. Very nice wine list specializing the Spanish wines. Food is uniquely prepared with nice presentations. The saff and service make the visit worth the trip.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent. It has been aExcellent. It has been a few years since I have been here but I definitely do not recall it being this good before!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe picked lazy to celebrateWe picked lazy to celebrate our anniversary. The service (Melanie) was excellent- she was on top of everything but not obtrusive and not snobby. We pick Puzo for special dinners because the menu is always interesting and the atmosphere is festive. We have never been disappointed. Even after we agree to limit our selections, my husband always orders the roasted mushrooms. Great meal!: chef Mario catalan keeps it exciting. H4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMeveryone should visit foreveryone should visit for at least one special occasion3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent--fun, exciting ambiance.Beautiful restaurant. I had not been here for several years but it did not disappoint. Most exciting fine was an excellent $22.00 bottle of their Pazo red (temparanillo). We shared many tapas (no entree) and desserts and coffee. All were tasty, including the olives, bistek, chicken kabobs, spinach, and broccoli. I enjoyed trying sherry for the first time as they had an extensive sherry list. My boyfriend was very impressed and we are going to try Charleston next! The prices were reasonable and we got out of there for about $160.00, with lots of drinks, wine, and dessert. Free valet parking, too!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Sweet 16 CelebrationPazo never disappoints. A class act from beginning to end. We were late for our reservation due to traffic, and they were just as gracious as could be about it. I had mentioned in the comments section upon booking that we were celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday -- and that was acknowledged from the moment we walked in and throughout our time there. We were seated at a lovely, round booth that was perfect for five. The menu provided food options for the one vegetarian, one vegan, and three omnivores among our group. Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. Very attentive staff and lovely surroundings made it a perfect evening.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always it was a great experienceAs always it was a great experience at Pazo. My only complaint is that the service seems to be slipping a bit. There were times when the waitress seemed to just be gone and others had to come over to give dessert menu, take dessert order and take the check. Not sure what is up with this, but for now it will not keep me from returning to Pazo. At some point, if this not so good service were to continue, it would affect my return. Great food and great atmosphere can only go so far if the service falls short.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWas there 2 weeks ago on FridayWas there 2 weeks ago on Friday evening and was excellent...went other night Tuesday, ordered same meal, but this time was very different. Did not taste as it did 2 weeks ago. Last time was seated upstairs and noise level was very low. Was seated in booth on ground floor and party next to us (4 women) were very loud.
Service was excellent as was the staff. Will go back.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Pazo, the food andI love Pazo, the food and service were excellent. For the entree, we ordered the rockfish and it was prepared perfectly. Tender on the inside with a nice sear on the outside. The servers are very helpful, but do have a tendency to push you to order much more than what you can consume.
As for the drinks, I felt a little short changed on my $12 martini. They bring it out to you in a shaker, and the waitress was really shaking it to get as much out, but still the glass wasn't completely full. I'm used to seeing martinis get filled to the rim. I was considering sending it back, but ultimately did not.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the Chef's dinner -outstandiWe had the Chef's dinner -outstanding !! Well timed ,good service. Dreadfull blasting EuroDisco music , not condusive for dining or conversation . Cold breeze from the AC in the main table area. So close to being a fabulouse place.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFun, Energetic, and GREAT FOOD!Pazo was a great place to take a date but also the first floor was very open for a great group setting. Although you might pay a little more at Pazo, IT IS WORTH IT!! I took my girlfriend there this past weekend and we had a great time. Great music playing, great menu choices, every course was amazing! I strongly suggest if you're in the Baltimore area and like a Mediterranean style dish with a great wine selection, Check out this place.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWOWThe food is unmatched as is the service. The meal I ate was so amazing, I would order it for my last meal! Wonderful fun and very very good!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe ambiance & food is wonderful. The ambiance & food is wonderful. Muisc does not fit the upscale restaurant vibe. The music is extremely loud &you song selection is inappropriate for the atmosphere.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHadn't been to Pazo in a whileHadn't been to Pazo in a while but glad to report that everything about the visit was very good. Overall the Foreman Wolf group run a tight ship in all their restaurants and Pazo is not exception. Very good food and very good service. I personally like the tapas concept but I noticed some people staring at the menu for a long time before they seemed to figure out what to eat. Only small issue we had was that the hard outer rind was still on the Iberico Ham we had. Normally this should not happen and you should not bite into a hard piece.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my second time atThis is my second time at Pazo's. The food, service and ambiance are all steller. It's a converted whare house and the feel is definitely Mediterranean. It get's nosy when the band starts. That is the only draw back. The mushroom bisque is outstanding and the homemade breads are excellent. I recommend Pazo's and will be back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for Date Night! Our waitress was fabulous!!! Since we were too busy talking to look at the menu, we asked her to surprise us with her favorite tapas. I have to say the plate she put together for us was on point! The food was amazing and the environment was perfect! A++3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExperience was enjoyable..FoodExperience was enjoyable..Food was delicious, and the waitress was attentive..Parking was easy..Great place to take a date or meet friends..3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBest date in a while!Took my boyfriend here on his first trip to Baltimore. He was impressed to say the LEAST! Pazo offers innovative and perfectly executed tapas with basically any type of ingredient you could possibly want. We started at the bar with delicious cocktails while we waited for Table 1 (which I requested). Everything we ordered was incredible, the lamb chop, the burger sito, the charcuterie with mahon - incredible. My only mild complaint was that the tuna tartare was much spicier than I remembered and lost a bit of the tuna's rich flavor, but still very good. The dessert, which we barely had room for, was simple and sweet, and the waitress surprised us with a pairing of dessert cocktails as well. Overall we had a magnificent evening!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
