  • "We went to Pazo, a former favorite, not realizing the entire menu had been reinvented. No longer a tapas restaurant, its menu is now unexciting and lacks the variety and Catalan cuisine that made it so great. The cuisine itself is still delicious. The calamari were perfectly seasoned and prepared, as were the ravioli. But the best and only options on the menu for me were CALAMARI and RAVIOLI. I could have gone anywhere and paid substantially less for that in any number of places. We were so disappointed. While the food was good, the portions were meager, the price was high, and the originality and variety that once made Pazo our go-to spot are now gone. RIP, Pazo. We miss you already."

  • "Our large group ended up enjoying Pazo from their comfortable bar/lounge area. The happy hour pizza special ($5 for a generously sized and delicious pizza) was a great deal and the flavors were excellent. This was only topped by Pazo's amazing other menu options, specifically the Chicken Spiedini and their Chocolate Olive Oil Cake. We were all very impressed by the food and the casual yet refined (and gorgeously appointed) dining atmosphere. I definitely recommend this for large groups and small, romantic get-togethers. I hope to return myself for a special dinner sometime soon."

  • "I was quite disappointed in the switch from Spanish style tapas to Italian food. The reason I loved pazo was its true tapas. Now it's just like any other Italian restaurant. I wish they wouldn't have switched. Still great service And wonderful atmosphere, as always even though there's a food style change."

  • "Pazo's recent change to a southern Italian menu leaves a bit to be desired. The selectins are interesting and food was tasty enough. However, the "tasting" or small portions have become quite small, while the prices remain a bit dear. In previous visits, the small portions were small, but not tine morsels presented this time. Salads remain the same. Service was not up to it's usual standards this visit. Although we dined fairly early, the service was unusually slow. Ordering coffee - mine never came and another guest's cappacino was received only after asking twice."

  • "We came back to Pazo after 2 years and OMG it was much worse then it used to be. Food is mediocre and for the money they are charging it's plain and not tasty at all. Overpriced with bad wine list, cocktails and food. Will not be back. Very disappointing after paying almost 500 for 4 people!"

  • "We use to go there and it was a place you could enjoy a nice meal and bar with friends. It is a nice place but no longer tapas. It recently changed. $8 for a single slider. It isn't sharable. Too expensive to buy everyone at your table. The food quality was good but the menu isn't work for what it used to be. Now it is Italian next to Little Italy. If I wanted Italian I would have gone to Little Italy. It used to be Spanish but a week ago decided to go Italian. I wished I had looked at the menu and saw that they had changed so much. My fault I guess. I gave them one star because of the menu. The quality is still there but the menu isn't worth going."

  • "They've changed from Mediterranean tapas to more of an Italian restaurant, with some tapas. Sadly, the food portions were ridiculously small and overpriced. My $29 Creekstone Farms hangar steak dinner consisted of 4 not-even-silver-dollar-sized slices of steak. They only have one bread choice unlike their past selections. Their menu does not offer nearly the same number of tapas selections as it once did. Overall, they seem to be cutting corners and charging more. Went there on a Friday evening and the place, which in the past would have had a huge wait, was half empty. I'm guessing others have figured this out."

  • "The plates were very small, not ideal for sharing. The food was alright. I brought my family, notably my Italian father, and he was unimpressed with their style, as was I. The service was not very good. My water glass was always full, but a loaf of bread took 30 minutes and my waiter was occupied most of the time. I probably won't go back."

The best part about Pazo, though, is the ambience. The incredibly high ceilings, great seating and decor really make this a stellar attraction."

  • "My wife and I hadn't been down to Baltimore for about 5 years, but the last time we were we dined at Pazo for my sister's law school graduation. This time we were in town for the Jeff Tweedy concert and decided to have a nice dinner before hand. We came a bit early, had a drink and an appetizer at the bar then moved onto our table. We decided to taste ALL of their "stuzzichini" or tapas plates in lieu of mains, and the waiter was very accommodating. He didn't rush us, and everything was paced very nicely. Things may have been different on a packed Friday, we dined on a Monday, but I can't fault something that didn't happen. Everything was excellent, it would be my first choice the next time I'm down in Baltimore for sure."

  • "that Pazo is no longer my favorite restaurant. I was shocked and disappointed to discover when I was there on 6/7/2014 that they have changed their menu to Italian food. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Italian food, but I don't understand why Pazo would "sell out" giving up its unique flair and serve the same thing about 50 other restaurants in the area already serve. What I loved about Pazo was the mediterrean and spain influence in their menu. Of course because the chef is great, whatever food is prepared there is great, but now it is just another Italian restaurant and in no way unique. No longer any reason to go to Pazo."

  • "As regular Pazo patrons, we were curious about new menu. The restaurant was nearly empty and upstairs mezzanine remained closed the entire time we dined there on a Friday evening. The food was poorly executed, and service was irregular. Bathrooms filthy. We were surprised and disappointed that there were so few patrons and that the food was not well-produced or presented. Pazo is a beautiful restaurant, with wonderful decor and seating and we hope it will recover its previous dining status."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary at Pazos Saturday night. We were treated like royalty! We can't remember a better dining experience! The servers were well trained, polite, knowledgeable, didn't hover, met all our needs, were friendly and sincere with their congrats on our celebration. Meeting and chatting with the manager was delightful. He was friendly and treated us like family. We loved the our meals and their presentation, the comfy chairs, the white table cloth, the candle, the changing of the silverware, glasses and dishes that was done swiftly and promptly. We put out the word that Pazos is highly recommended giving us a night to remember. "

  • "This is a fabulous place to eat. The waiter was GREAT! He made great suggestions, did not rush us and was very nice. The FOOD was wonderful. Everything was made to perfection from the salad and starters to the dessert. We tried several starter plates and all were a work of ART. All were suggested by our fine waiter. Lovely place. We walked to the Baltimore Harbor from there and it is in a convenient location and walkable to hotels, harbor, etc. Also, I loved that you can order glasses of wine at 3 oz and 6 oz sizes to try different types of wines with each course. And the prices are very reasonable. We will be back! "

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants and I dine out a lot. I was, however, disappointed with the service. It ranged from "neglectful" to manic to neglectful. When my guests & I arrived a server greeted us and said the hostess would be there shortly. She was, but it was several moments before she acknowledged that it would be a few minutes for them to clear a table. Ultimately we were seated. Before I had a chance to put my purse down the manager was sharing menu details and requesting drink orders. We asked for a moment and within "a moment", the server was there presenting the same info. The server, once "manic", then forgot one of our appetizers. It came at the end of the meal and was gratis. Not the usual great service."

  • "We have been regular customers for many years. We have always found great food with a great efficient service. Last Sunday, we had an extremely poor service experience. Many orders were delayed, served to wrong table, someone else's order brought to our table, order was missed. For a light Sunday evening crowd, we found this it to be unacceptable. Menu seems to have gone through many changes and we miss many of the items we used to see/enjoy several years ago. Overall, we found the value for the money to be very poor. It will be a while before we may choose to return. May be one more chance - before it is off our list."

  • "I've been to Pazo once before and both times I've been there it hasn't disappointed. The first time I went there it was relatively new so it was packed. This time around it was far less crowded—which I prefer. The food is always good. I've never had a bad dish. The wait staff, as well as the bartender, host and hostess are all very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are visiting Baltimore/Inner Harbor area or live there, it's a great place to dine. Better for date night than a family outing. Unless you go early. Note: I asked for their best table... I do this everywhere I go and in this case they took care of me. We sat in a big comfy booth dead center. It's nice to know they made an effort to accommodate this request. Two thumbs up Pazo!"
